Listening to her brother's gentle words, Summer Shawcross was momentarily dazed.
Just as she was about to ask him something else, Sean Shawcross was already pushing her out of the kitchen.
"Your hand shouldn't touch water, so just wait outside obediently."
As soon as he finished speaking, he shut the kitchen door. Summer stood outside with a helpless sigh.
...
Sean was nimble in his actions and soon had dinner ready. Three dishes and a soup, all her favorite homemade meals.
Summer glanced outside at the sky. It was still early, not yet time for dinner. But thankfully, Sean's dishes were so tempting that her appetite was instantly piqued.
She took the chopsticks from Sean's hand and sampled each dish, then couldn't help but praise them contentedly.
"Just like before, really delicious."
In fact, it had been over five years since she last tasted these flavors, and now finally experiencing them again, her heart felt warm.
Seeing her eat happily, Sean wore a gentle smile.
