Sean's words made Summer Shawcross pause, reminding her of her past self. She used to hate being constrained and having her freedom limited.
But now... Noah Drexler had a group of people following her everywhere. Though she didn't particularly like the feeling, she wasn't as upset about it as she had imagined.
Thinking about it, she sighed softly and then continued speaking.
"I used to be so willful, thinking that freedom was the most important thing in the world. But now I realize, as long as you all are safely by my side, I'm happy."
As long as her brother and Noah Drexler could stay well by her side, nothing else seemed quite as important anymore.
Her words caused Sean's expression to subtly change, tinged with a trace of surprise.
After a long silence, Sean turned to glance at the scenery outside the car window, then suddenly asked her.
