The meeting tonight wasn't very complicated. The six lawyers scheduled to participate in next week's recording got their scripts and drew lots to see if they'd be on the defendant's side or the plaintiff's side.
Once the groups were divided and scripts distributed, each group went off to discuss defense strategies.
Sienna Thornton drew the defendant's side, teaming up with two young lawyers who had studied abroad to form the defense team. The three of them discussed their angles for defense, decided on the seating arrangement for the lawyers, and scheduled a private rehearsal for next Friday night. Then, they all headed home to prepare their arguments individually.
When Sienna Thornton got home, it was almost eleven o'clock.
A dim floor lamp was lit in the living room, and Simon Forrester's car keys were in the key bowl on the foyer cabinet.
