This was not what Cecil was expecting.
First of all, this thing had no Level. Just F rank.
Secondly, it had no space for sentience.

Cyrus is trying to chew it.
The newly formed Silk Snakes were being eaten by him.
Not exactly eaten, the torn silk fell out from his body, because there was apprently a hole on him on the right.
Turns out Cecil never saw Cyrus' right side.

Cecil said as he walked towards the Spawner. Then stopped.
Not because the eye rune was blue, but because a new notification popped up.

Cecil looked at the broken window through which Cyrus had jumped in.

And he jumped out, landing on the ground with a shallow footprint shaped crater.
The other building had noises of battle coming from them, and Cecil went in.
Ground Floor, Empty
First Floor had Blue Blitz and Red Rager almost done with the Silk Snakes.
He recalled Blue Blitz, feeling the needle thin blade with a wave like cross guard.

That was Blue Blitz' skill.
It was normally useless against a group. It killed one, and then got stuck in a wall.
But with a Weapon Spirit, Cecil could control the range of the skill, and-

Blue Blitz tore through one enemy, stopped after piercing it like paper, and then turned to another enemy.
Blue Blitz seemed to have learned the trick, rapidly tearing all Silk Snakes in the room.
Red Rager didn't look too happy, which is to be expected, but the leftover Silk Snakes were afraid.
They were not even coming down from the second floor.
The Luckiest Snake was cut into 4, lengthwise.
"Blue, go ahead,"
Cecil said as he grabbed Red Rager, which vibrated like a guitar string.

The skill description was bad, but Cecil had read worse stuff.
Cecil climbed up, and immediately threw Red Rager at two Snakes who were roughly in a line.
Like a Red wheel, Red Rager tore through the two, slowing down with time, before it stopped moving, but kept on rotating, before travelling backwards towards Cecil's hand like a loyal trident.
Cecil then threw Red Rager at another unfortunate Snake when—

Cecil asked politely to the two remaining snakes who clearly did'nt understand shit.

One just jumped off. They do apparently understand shit.
Blue Blitz immediately shot at the snake, and Cecil went downstairs to the ground floor.
The reason he had inspected the corpses earlier was simple.
The boss was named 'Silkened Arachnoform'.
And when he scanned the Snakes, he learnt that they could Hijack corpses.
So, one of these things, or perhaps a bigger one will be his enemy soon.
He noticed something wierd.
The city was very dusty, every step left half a centimeter deep print, so it must have been abandoned a long time ago.
But these corpses were not rotten. They looked as if they were killed just a few hours ago.
The dust confirmed that this place was not an artificial dungeon, but the preserved corpses made him doubtful.
He looked at one intact piece.
About 225 centimeters tall, or over 7 feet.
Four spider like legs which were as thick as a man's arms, ending in a pointed tip and four similiar arms.
One thing about their arms was that the pointed tip was actually made of five smaller parts that folded up.
Like fingers, but with a really small palm.
Their faces were basically human, except their eyes, which were compond and many.
From afar, their eyes would look normal, so not really important.
What was important was that Cecil was scanned the corpse.
It was Level 63, and it had 50 straight line patterns and 13 curved lines.
"Safe to assume that each level adds an extra pattern"

1-50, or G ranks have straight patterns
51-100, or F ranks have curved lines
And the corpse standing beside the one he was holding up had 44 straight lines, so it must be level 44, and scanning it—
"Wait what—?"
Another 2.25 meter tall thing stood beside Cecil.
It was Red with orange patterns, and was missing a leg, but, it was here.

Cecil shamelessly called Cyrus, who was already pouncing on the Arachnoform.
*RROOAAAARRRR*
His Eagle Talons Dug into the Arachnoform's chest, his Elephant Legs pushed them to the ground, And his Lion head bit down on the neck.
The Arachnoform, unfazed, Thrust all 4 Arms at Cyrus' Body, who was also unfazed.
The Arachnoform Tried to Roll Cyrus and pin him below, but only managed to roll him to his sides.
The Arachnoform had its neck almost torn off, but it didn't seem to be affected a lot.
"Cyrus, Move!"
Cecil Said as a blue blur Shot at the Arachnoform's skull, Tearing through it.
Cyrus managed to pull his head back, his lion mane looking suddenly exquisite, as Blue Blitz Hit the ground through the Arachnoform's skull.
The Arachnoform stilled.
Then it continued stabbed at Cyrus as if nothing happened.
(Are they fighting like that because they're both undead?)
And then, It hit him.
He just has to Kill the snake.
Cecil Grabbed Green Guardian, which expanded to the size of a door, and Jumped.
"Die!"
He shouted, but his voice cracked mid syllable.
Cyrus leaped away, and the door sized blade hit the Arachnoform's body, cutting it in half.
