Ava was about to leave her room for dinner when Charles knocked on the door, a warm smile spreading across her face as she stood up to open it. "Good evening, Charles," she greeted, stepping aside to let him in. "Good evening, ma'am" Charles replied.
". I was on my way down already," She said and Charles nodded. They left the room together.
As they walked, Ava's gaze drifted down the hall to Damian's door, a flicker of curiosity igniting within her. Had he left and gone somewhere? She could have sworn she heard footsteps outside her door earlier in the afternoon.
But she hadn't heard any other footsteps after that and had been in her room all day. Maybe he had work to get back to or something to take care off. Did it involve the receptionist? She wondered. Did he finally talk? It would really help if they had any new leads on finding Lily, she almost scoffed when she remembered how annoying the receptionist had been.
