He was mid-conversation with the Japanese model, which didn't stop him from spotting Haejin and raising his glass with an enormous, unbothered grin. Not even the pretense of subtlety. Just openly, cheerfully delighted.
Minjae, beside him, reached over without looking and pushed his arm down.
Doyun kept the grin.
"I know what you're thinking," Jisoo said to Minjae, appearing from nowhere with a skewer.
"I'm not thinking anything," Minjae said.
"You're thinking they look happy."
Minjae looked at the exit doors, then back at his drink.
"I'm thinking the skewers are good tonight," he said.
Jisoo considered this. "That's also true," he said, and kept eating.
Taekyung, at the railing, did not look at the exit. He was looking at the city. But after a moment he picked up his drink, took a slow sip, and said to nobody in particular: "About time."
Nobody acknowledged it.
Nobody disagreed.
