There was a girl near the end of the barrier who looked maybe fourteen, holding a poster with his name on it. The handwriting was careful in the way that meant she'd restarted it at least twice, getting the letters right. She was trying very hard to look calm and absolutely not managing it.
Jisoo looked at the poster. Then he looked at her.
And then he crouched down.
Full crouch. Knees on the carpet. Designer outfit and red carpet and photographers everywhere, and he just went all the way down to her eye level like it was the obvious thing to do. Like there was no other logical response to this specific person standing in front of him.
Soorin couldn't hear what he said. The crowd noise swallowed it completely.
But she saw the girl's face.
It crumpled first, the way faces do when something hits too fast to brace for. Then it broke open into this wide, overwhelmed, completely helpless smile that took over her whole expression.
