"For whatever happens next. Nari will react. We need to be ready."
"What if she hurts Yura?" Jisoo's voice was small.
"She won't. Not yet. Yura's leverage. She's worth more alive."
"And Somin?" Minjae asked.
Ethan was quiet for a second. "Somin's a different story. She broke ranks. Confessed publicly. That makes her a liability."
"So she's in danger," Soorin said.
"Potentially. Police are en route to Nari's residence now. If Somin's there, they'll extract her."
"And if she's not?" Taekyung asked.
"Then we hope Nari's smart enough not to create another body."
The words hung heavy in the air.
"I'm pulling in," Ethan said. "Be there in two minutes."
The call ended.
Everyone sat in tense silence. Waiting.
Soorin's mind raced. 'Nari was the manager's assistant. She knew about the abuse. Helped facilitate it probably. Then she changed her name. Became an agent. Worked her way up to representing Yura.'
"It's revenge," she said out loud.
Everyone looked at her.
