Soorin moved toward the door.
Paused.
"Jiwon?"
"Yes?"
"Thank you. For explaining everything."
Jiwon nodded.
"Just doing my job."

"Well?"
"I don't know. She had an answer for everything."
"Good answers?"
"Believable ones."
They walked back toward his office.
"So what do you think?" he asked.
"I think either she's innocent, or she's the best liar I've ever met."
"Those aren't mutually exclusive."
"I know."

In his office, Manager Park pulled up security footage.
"I had cameras check the storage room. No audio, but we can see body language."
They watched the conversation play out on screen.
Jiwon's posture was open.
Not defensive.
Her expressions matched her words.
"She doesn't look guilty," Soorin admitted.
"No. She doesn't."
Manager Park closed the video.
