The car drove into the parking lot of Neravalle, and Salvatore stopped it.
He turned to Valentina who had her eyes turned to the window. "You coming out?"
Without responding, she opened her side of the door.
Salvatore brought her to the room of whispers, and opened the door for her to go in.
He went in after her. "I doubt Carpo is returning today. I have to return to the hospital though," he said.
"Yeah, you should. Look after him," she said as if she wasn't present.
"Are you sure you're okay, Verde?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm great."
"Alright," he said, not because he believed her, but because he didn't want to push it. "I'll let Gina know that you're around so she caters to you."
He walked out of the room, and Valentina released a sigh of relief the second the door closed.
She began to pace as she went into her head to think about all she knew about autoimmune diseases.
