Chapter 101 - Chapter 18: Absolute Suppression

Rainbase was a bustling city.

At its center stood a pyramid-like structure, with a massive crocodile statue perched on top.

This was Crocodile's casino in Rainbase.

Rain Dinners.

The casino was built directly on a lake.

That lake was the reason Rainbase was known as the "City of Dreams" within the Alabasta Kingdom.

Alabasta was a desert nation. Freshwater was life.

This enormous freshwater lake had sustained Rainbase for centuries, allowing it to prosper where other cities could not.

When Rain Dinners came into view, Loki descended from the sky.

She landed directly in front of the casino's main entrance.

Emiya and the others adjusted their clothes and walked straight through the front door.

As the largest casino in Rainbase, Rain Dinners was enormous inside.

Every kind of gambling game imaginable filled the hall.

The place was packed.

Emiya raised his hand.

Psychic force surged outward.

One gambler after another was lifted into the air and thrown straight out the entrance.

They weren't here to be polite.

In less than half a minute, hundreds of gamblers had been flung outside, piling up into small human hills.

The once-crowded casino became completely empty.

Then Emiya split his Psychic power.

It wrapped around the slot machines.

The tables.

Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom.

Explosions rang out in rapid succession.

Nearly every machine inside the casino was destroyed.

Debris and broken parts rained down, only to be deflected by Psychic force before they could touch anyone.

In an instant, the bustling casino was reduced to ruins.

The security guards stood frozen.

They could only stare as the casino they were meant to protect turned into scrap.

The explosions finally alerted the true master of Rain Dinners.

The Suna Suna no Mi user.

Crocodile.

A sandstorm burst from the VIP area.

It condensed into a man with slicked-back hair and a horizontal scar across his face.

Crocodile looked around at the devastation.

His expression was calm.

But his eyes were filled with killing intent.

"Did you do this?"

Emiya didn't answer.

He simply made a small gesture toward Loki.

Even with the perfected Bomu Bomu no Mi, even as a human bomb, Emiya knew his limits.

Against a Logia user, brute force alone wasn't enough.

Elementalization was broken.

So this fight wasn't his.

It belonged to Loki.

Crocodile noticed their indifference.

His gaze turned cold.

"Sables."

His arm transformed into a massive blade of sand, tearing through the ground as it surged toward Emiya.

Loki stepped forward.

The sand blade lost all momentum.

It collapsed into loose grains and scattered across the floor.

Crocodile's eyes widened.

He pulled the sand back, then swung both arms.

"Desert Spada."

Four enormous blades of sand formed, sharper and more violent than before, tearing through the air toward Loki.

They didn't reach her.

Once again, the sand lost cohesion.

It dispersed into a harmless whirlwind and fell.

"How...?"

Crocodile's composure cracked.

"What kind of ability is this?"

He had never seen anything like it.

An ability that simply erased his Devil Fruit power.

"Heavy Sandstorm!"

He stopped testing her.

A massive sandstorm roared forward, swallowing the space in front of him.

It collapsed.

Before reaching Loki, the storm disintegrated, falling like dead dust.

At that moment, Crocodile understood.

His control over sand meant nothing to her.

Nothing at all.

How could he fight like this?

His first instinct was to retreat.

But before he could move, his body froze.

An unfamiliar force locked him in place, pinning him to the ground.

Loki walked up to him.

She smiled.

A smile that sent chills down his spine.

Emiya spoke calmly.

"It's over."

Vivi stared in disbelief.

"That's it...? Crocodile lost just like that?"

This was Sir Crocodile.

A Warlord of the Sea.

Defeated this easily?

Emiya clicked his tongue.

"Tch. His opponent is Loki."

"And among the Seven Warlords, Crocodile and Gecko Moria are the weakest."

The current Seven Warlords were:

Dracule Mihawk.

Bartholomew Kuma.

Boa Hancock.

Donquixote Doflamingo.

Gecko Moria.

Jinbe.

Sir Crocodile.

Except for Crocodile and Moria, all of them could use Haki.

Even Kuma, who never demonstrated it openly, was part of the Revolutionary Army. The odds were high.

Only Crocodile and Moria never used Haki, even when facing Luffy.

Which meant one thing.

They couldn't use it.

As for whether they once could, Emiya believed they had.

Both had been active in the New World.

One had challenged Whitebeard.

The other had fought Kaido.

Without Haki, that would have been suicide.

The most likely explanation was simple.

They lost.

And something broke.

Moria lost to Kaido and collapsed mentally, relying only on his Devil Fruit afterward.

Crocodile likely suffered something similar after losing to Whitebeard.

Whether physical or psychological, he lost the ability to use Haki.

Of course, that was just Emiya's guess.

It was also possible they were simply incompetent.

But if they truly couldn't use Haki at all, the Marines would never have recruited them.

Either way, it didn't matter.

Against Loki, the result would never change.

A Devil Fruit user alone couldn't defeat a god.

"Give me an apple."

Loki's voice pulled Emiya back.

Emiya nodded.

An apple appeared in his hand.

He tossed it over.

Loki caught it, then grabbed Crocodile by the head with her other hand.

Screams echoed.

And in Loki's palm, the apple twisted.

It transformed.

Into a Devil Fruit.
