Chapter 250 - Chapter 250: Observer Algalon

"Who is that?" Everyone was still confused.

Alexstrasza was also perplexed; she had never heard that name before.

Freya frowned. "Why would Algalon descend? Did Loken change the summoning conditions?"

Kologarn said, "That's right, Loken changed the conditions for summoning Algalon to his death. I told you that you caused a lot of trouble, but you didn't listen. Instead, you tried to kill me!"

Gale gave him a cold glance, scaring Kologarn into quickly shutting his complaining mouth.

"Why are you so afraid of Algalon?" Alexstrasza asked, puzzled.

Freya explained for Kologarn: "The Observer Algalon is a failsafe mechanism left by the Titans on Azeroth. Once he descends to the world of Azeroth, he will assess the situation of Azeroth. If he deems things are deteriorating, he will activate the Forge of Wills and the Forge of Origination, restarting the entire world. At that time, all life, except for the Titan Guardians, will disappear, and Kologarn will be no exception."

Everyone shivered upon hearing this.

There was actually such a powerful device in this world? The feeling of having one's life controlled by others was simply too unbearable.

"Where will Algalon appear?"

"The Observatory!"

Kologarn pointed to the passage on the left.

Gale extended his hand to Alexstrasza, and Alexstrasza returned the Soul Gem to him.

Gale activated the Soul Gem, impacting Hodir again, making him continue to sleep. Then, he led the way to the Observatory. "Let's go meet this Observer."

Freya stepped forward to follow him; she needed to report what had happened here to Algalon.

Everyone exchanged glances and followed suit. If Algalon was determined to restart the world, then they would have to defeat him no matter what!

Soon, everyone arrived at the Observatory.

They saw a Titan Guardian, forged from starlight, standing in the Observatory, as if a machine had entered its program.

"Beginning planetary status analysis…"

"No need for analysis!" Gale said loudly, "Four Titan Guardians have already died, what do you intend to do?"

Algalon looked at Freya behind Gale. "Freya, long time no see!"

Freya sighed. "Long time no see, Algalon!"

Algalon said woodenly, "Freya, you don't seem to want to see me."

"Indeed!" Freya said, "You shouldn't be here now. Loken changed the conditions for summoning you."

Algalon asked, "Where is Loken?"

"He's dead!" Freya said.

Algalon seemed to understand something. "It seems you have betrayed the Titans."

"It was Loken who betrayed the Titans!" Freya summoned Mimiron's soul.

Mimiron, seeing Algalon, immediately jumped up excitedly. "Algalon, quickly go kill Loken! He killed Sif, framed Torim and Hodir, drove away Tyr and Azadas, and caused my death! He sided with Yogg-Saron, he betrayed the Titans!"

Algalon asked in a deep voice, "Do you have proof?"

"Before Azadas left, he stole the Norgannon Discs. The discs that record history now are fakes made by Loken; he deleted the parts that recorded his evil deeds, which made history incoherent," Freya said mockingly.

Algalon closed his eyes, and the starlight from his body spread out of the Observatory. After a moment, he opened his eyes again and said angrily, "Loken, that traitor, deserved to die!"

He looked at Freya and Mimiron. "The situation has severely deteriorated. I must restore the restart code and initiate the restart program."

Freya glanced at Gale. "Algalon, perhaps things haven't gotten that bad yet."

Algalon shook his head. "Things are worse than you imagine. Yogg-Saron is about to break free from his prison. If the world cannot be restarted before then, Azeroth will fall into an irreversible predicament."

The Alliance Army glared at Algalon; they had endured countless hardships to defeat powerful enemies. Yet, the result was everything starting over. Was there anything more frustrating than this?

They all drew their weapons. If Algalon did not change his mind, they would absolutely not let him go.

Gale also meant the same thing; he struck his eternal spear on the ground, making a loud noise.

Algalon looked down at him from above. "mortals, I do not care about your thoughts. I have seen countless worlds consumed by the flames of the creators. The people in those worlds did not even have time to utter a cry of sorrow before they vanished forever. An entire planet, from birth to destruction, is but a flick of a finger. But from beginning to end, I have never been moved… I feel nothing."

Gale sneered, "Observer, I also want to tell you that we likewise do not care about your thoughts. If you dare to harm us, we will certainly eliminate you first, just as we eliminated the Burning Legion and Loken. Although we are mortals, we have the determination to defeat all enemies."

"Burning Legion?" Algalon laughed. "Have you faced Sargeras directly? He is a power that even the Hall of the Pantheon could not contend with. Anyone who faces him directly has only one path: death."

"Indeed, we are not Sargeras's match, but that doesn't mean we don't have the courage to face him directly!"

Gale sneered, "In that war, our friend Broxigar Saurfang was the first to charge Sargeras. Although he ultimately died at Sargeras's hands, even with his last breath, he would have hurled his battle-axe at Sargeras."

Alexstrasza followed up, "Gale also once faced Sargeras directly, buying us time to close the portal."

Algalon looked at Gale in surprise, unable to believe that he had faced Sargeras directly.

"So what? Not dying at Sargeras's hands only means you were lucky. If the world is not restarted, you will face Yogg-Saron directly. This time, you will have nowhere to escape!"

"Yogg-Saron?" Gale sneered, "I was just about to go trouble him. You might as well come and see. If we can't defeat Yogg-Saron, then you can execute your restart plan."

Freya said, "Perhaps you should give these mortals a chance."

Algalon also became interested. "Alright! As long as you can defeat Yogg-Saron, I will abandon the plan to restart the world."

The Alliance Army erupted in deafening cheers; they feared no enemy, but they feared enemies who could kill them unknowingly.

Gale once again struck his eternal spear on the ground. "Those with artifacts, assemble!"
