Emilia stared quietly at him, sensing his nervousness, and picked up her spoon again.
"Just that," she answered, wishing she had listened more.
Lucas scoffed quietly, almost falling for her trick, and picked up another spoon to eat, but noticed the bruise on her neck and stood up.
He took an ointment from the coat lying on the bed and came to Emilia, who was still eating.
"Wait," he muttered and touched her neck.
Emilia flinched immediately, slapping his hand off and guarding her neck with her hands.
"What are you doing?"
Lucas raised the oil in his hand and showed it to her.
"I will do it myself," Emilia said, rejecting his help.
He was the cause of the injury, and yet he wanted to be the cure as well.
Lucas set the bottle in front of her and took a seat.
He knew clearly that he had wronged her yet again but couldn't explain it to her.
"What is it?" Emilia asked again.
