Chapter 142 - YGS [142]

The game that Luya had been thinking about day and night was now mostly completed. Although it didn't yet include any modules related to online functionality, that could soon be achieved.

Once the Greater Lord Rukkhadevata finished researching network technology, Xianyun could then create the devices necessary to implement it.

When that happens, Liyue would become the first nation in Teyvat to enter the network era!

Of course, spreading the network across all of Teyvat would require an enormous amount of manpower and resources—meaning a vast expenditure of Mora.

Thus, for quite some time, Luya would have to focus on making money like crazy to prepare for the day when he would build a network for all of Teyvat.

...

To earn more money, Luya began restocking goods. Yesterday, he had purchased 3.14 million Yu-Gi-Oh! Scratch Cards, spending 1.57 billion Mora. Yet they hadn't all sold out.

Luya decided to open twenty more Yu-Gi-Oh! Scratch Card shops. He wanted to cover as much of the area between Qingce and Liyue Harbor as possible. Just like yesterday, he directly opened the Land Purchase function.

Again, he evenly bought twenty plots of land and turned them into Yu-Gi-Oh! Scratch Card shops. Including the land and renovation costs, the total came to about 500 million Mora.

For Luya, who possessed 6.8379 billion Mora, that was well within his means. After opening twenty new shops, Luya still had 6.3379 billion Mora remaining.

Since it was nighttime, there weren't many people on the streets of Liyue Harbor, so it didn't cause any commotion.

Luya's twenty new scratch card shops appeared once again at Chihu Rock and Feiyun Slope. Then, just like before, Luya materialized forty Waifu Cards, turning them into employees for the newly opened shops.

...

Although the scratch cards hadn't sold out yesterday, Luya still chose to continue opening new stores. He believed many people hadn't tried them yet—and as more people became familiar with Yu-Gi-Oh! Scratch Cards, sales would naturally rise.

Moreover, whenever someone drew tens of millions or even hundreds of millions of Mora, or pulled various rare cards, it would further boost sales.

For instance, just today, Keqing had spent only 200,000 Mora and won a luxurious 1,000-square-meter property in a prime location. That alone was enough to get many citizens of Liyue to buy even more scratch cards.

Besides, once Luya's future electronics factory started operating, most workers in Liyue Harbor would see a wage increase!

Then, when people bought more scratch cards or game consoles, the Mora they earned from working for Luya would just flow right back into his hands—completing a perfect economic loop.

As people earned more and spent more, Luya would make even greater profits—and the more he profited, the higher the wages he could pay. The higher their wages, the more Luya could earn in return. A mutually beneficial cycle indeed.

With the extra profits, Luya could also contribute to Liyue's construction, restoring many regions that had once been uninhabitable and making them livable again.

As he imagined Liyue's future development, Luya even felt as if he were becoming the Geo Archon of Liyue himself.

However, since Liyue Harbor's current Geo Archon no longer involved himself in worldly matters, his absence—or presence—made little difference. The fact that no one stood in the way of Luya's progress was already the best form of help.

Conveniently enough, Keqing was now staying at his shop. Starting an electronics factory, hiring employees, and everything else—he could leave it all to Keqing!

As the Lady Yuheng overseeing land construction, Keqing not only had deep knowledge of Liyue's terrain but also enjoyed great respect among the citizens.

When the time came, with Keqing's help, he might not even have to pay for factory land. After all, it was all for Liyue's benefit! By opening an electronics factory, Luya would raise local wages and bring new industries to Liyue Harbor. Both commerce and people's incomes would experience explosive growth.

As long as he clearly explained his plans to Keqing, she would surely assist him. At that point, recruiting workers to assemble parts would be a breeze! With a single order from Keqing, a massive labor force would rush forward to work for Luya.

Thinking this far, Luya already wanted to go talk to her about it.

Yet there was no rush. He'd wait until Yun Jin finished researching mass production methods for the game consoles before starting recruitment.

With his Land Purchase ability, Luya could instantly build any structure he wanted using Mora. So, the electronics factory could easily be established.

From the remaining 6.3379 billion Mora, Luya spent 3 billion buying more scratch cards and another 1.3379 billion purchasing other goods. That left 2 billion Mora. Luya decided to upgrade his Divine Hand—that way, he could summon even more monsters at once.

[Divine Hand Lv10 → Lv11]

╵Maximum simultaneous summons: 256

╵Maximum Monster Level: 10

╵Upgrade Cost: 1 billion Mora

╵Available Mora: 2 billion Mora

Luya selected the upgrade option—

"Upgrade!!!"

Golden light surged endlessly from his left hand, illuminating the shop as mysterious markings spread across his palm. It was as if countless brilliant stars had gathered together, radiating dazzling light. A divine, intricate pattern intertwined and twisted as though containing infinite power and mystery.

[Divine Hand Lv11]

╵Maximum simultaneous summons: 512

╵Maximum Monster Level: 11

╵Upgrade Cost: 2 billion Mora

╵Available Mora: 1 billion Mora

After the upgrade, the number of monsters Luya could summon simultaneously had doubled, and the highest summonable Level had increased as well.

With nothing else to do, Luya returned to his room and closed for the day. He decided that tomorrow, he would begin promoting the game console—and demonstrate Yu-Gi-Oh! Teyvat to everyone.
