Chapter 141 - YGS [141]

Luya returned to the shop and opened the Game Editor.

The interface was simple—just a single text input box and a display showing the Mora required to realize the design. That was all.

It was exactly as the system had described.

All Luya needed to do was enter his requirements into the text box, and the Game Editor would generate the game he envisioned.

Once he understood how it worked, he began typing in his specifications.

...

Luya paused, thinking carefully about how to describe the game he wanted.

How should he phrase it to achieve the desired result?

First and foremost, he wanted a Yu-Gi-Oh! card battle game—something like "Two-Five-Seven."

So, he wrote down the first requirement:

[Requirement 1: A trading card battle game that can calculate damage and fulfill dueling needs.]

As soon as he finished typing, the Mora cost appeared in the bottom-right corner of the interface.

Luya glanced at it—50 million Mora.

Not bad.

For someone with 7 billion Mora, 50 million was practically nothing.

...

Having established the foundation, Luya moved on to his second requirement.

[Requirement 2: The game rules must match those of Yu-Gi-Oh!]

The cost appeared again—this time, only 2 million Mora.

Luya nodded in approval.

It seemed the Game Editor calculated prices based on the complexity of each feature. Defining the overall framework required far more Mora, while adding smaller elements like rule details was much cheaper.

...

Next, he refined the system further.

[Requirement 3: Under the same rules as Yu-Gi-Oh!, adjust Life Points to 8000.]

Required Mora: 100,000.

As expected, the simpler the feature, the lower the cost.

Once the core rules were established, it was time to create a tutorial for beginners.

[Requirement 4: Create a tutorial to help beginners get started quickly. The tutorial must cover: basic rules, Fusion Summoning, Synchro Summoning, Xyz Summoning, Pendulum Summoning, and Link Summoning, while integrating Yu-Gi-Oh! story elements.]

Required Mora: 10 million.

With the tutorial and rule modules ready, the next step was to add a playable mode—single-player mode.

[Requirement 5: Create a single-player duel system that includes all Yu-Gi-Oh! characters and gives them emotional depth, allowing them to interact with players.]

Required Mora: 3 billion.

He had expected it to be costly—just not that costly.

Making characters sentient and emotionally expressive truly came at a price.

Even with 7 billion Mora, spending 3 billion in one go felt excessive.

So, Luya deleted the latter half of the fifth requirement and revised it:

[Requirement 5: Create a single-player duel system that includes all Yu-Gi-Oh! characters.]

Required Mora: 100 million.

Much better.

He thought it over. For now, these functions would suffice.

After all, the Greater Lord Rukkhadevata hadn't yet completed network technology, and the electronic duel consoles hadn't even entered mass production.

Adding network-dependent features like [Player vs Player] or [In-game Shop] would be meaningless at this stage.

Even if Luya implemented a [Player vs Player] system, it wouldn't function without the necessary infrastructure. Online duels and in-game payments both relied on network support.

So, even if he made it an online game, without proper technology, it simply wouldn't run.

Therefore, Luya decided to wait until Greater Lord Rukkhadevata successfully developed network and Digital Mora technologies before adding those systems.

For now, the basics would do.

...

After finalizing the setup, Luya submitted his requirements and paid the Mora.

[Requirement 1: 50 million Mora]

[Requirement 2: 2 million Mora]

[Requirement 3: 100,000 Mora]

[Requirement 4: 10 million Mora]

[Requirement 5: 100 million Mora]

[Total: 162.1 million Mora]

162.1 million Mora was deducted from Luya's balance.

His 7 billion became 6.8379 billion Mora.

He had barely spent anything to create an entire game.

About ten seconds later—

The system's familiar chime rang out!

[Ding, congratulations, Host!]

[The game has been successfully created!!!]

[Please name it...]

At once, Luya entered the title.

Or rather, its abbreviation: "YT." Just as "Yu-Gi-Oh! MD" stood for Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel,

"YT" would stand for Yu-Gi-Oh! Teyvat.
