Soon enough, the ship that had been mysteriously stagnant on the Red Sea began to move again. The captain had regained consciousness, and although he was still weak, his mind was clear enough for him to take control of the ship and continue their journey.
The windows had been barred and tightly closed for the moment, keeping the cold air of the sea outside. The entire cabin was quiet, with most of the crew resting after the exhausting battle.
Dydra sat alone in a corner of the cabin with her head buried between her knees. The strange book lay on the floor before her, and she stared at it with a heavy sigh.
"I should have stayed still. I should have listened," she mumbled, lifting her head to look at it.
Her lips trembled as memories of the battle returned to her. She had watched the men fight, watched Desmond fall, and yet she had been powerless to do anything.
Frustration suddenly overcame her.
