"What happened here?"
The captain hesitated before answering. "I'm not sure, Your Highness. One moment, the sky was clear, and the next, it suddenly grew dark. Then lightning began striking across the sky."
Before Leonard could respond, a loud snarl echoed from beyond the edge of the ship.
The captain and the men immediately turned toward the sound.
A huge shadow emerged from the darkness, its enormous figure barely visible beneath the stormy sky. Before anyone could react, the werewolf-like creature lunged toward them.
Leonard moved on instinct.
His blade flashed through the air, striking the creature before it could reach the captain.
But there was no time to celebrate.
More creatures began emerging from the darkness, slowly making their way toward the men with low snarls rumbling from their throats.
