The Crown Prince pushed himself upright on the bed, his eyes tightly shut. Beads of sweat trickled down his skin as his brows drew together in pain. His fingers dug into the sheets while his chest rose and fell heavily.
A sharp pain suddenly shot through his skull, forcing a low grunt from his lips. It refused to subside. Leonard brought both hands to his head, gripping his hair as he clenched his teeth.
A moment later, he slipped from the bed and fell to the floor, his entire body trembling.
His eyes slowly opened, but something was terribly wrong with them. They were hollow and empty, with not a trace of white visible.
The Crown Prince needed something.
Vampire blood.
"Why are you glad I'm alive?" the second prince asked.
His voice pulled Violet's attention back to him. She slowly released her arms from around his neck and stared at him.
There was no warmth in his expression.
