Chapter 255 - Chapter 255: The Distortion World Theory

Chapter 255: The Distortion World Theory

After teleporting the Pokémon to the manor, Ryan left the Ultra Beasts with the Aether Foundation. Firstly, the Aether Foundation's research focused on Ultra Beasts, so leaving them would accelerate their research. Secondly, the appetite of those Guzzlord was terrifying; leaving them in the resource-rich Alola was more reliable. If they were in Pallet Town, the food costs alone would give Ryan a headache.

He also temporarily carried a few Legendary Pokémon with him. Although their strength hadn't recovered, they were still capable of fighting. They might come in handy when they went to Ultra Megalopolis!

After dealing with the Pokémon, he took a large bag of Poké Balls from the Aether Foundation, preparing for the Pokémon in the other dimensions.

He then bid farewell to Lusamine, and the four of them rode Solgaleo back into the Ultra Wormhole.

Lusamine watched the disappearing group and murmured, "Ryan, protect Lillie."

Inside the cave, Silver tapped his metal bowl and announced, "Lunch is served! Lunch today is stir-fried mushrooms, roasted mushrooms, mushroom soup, and cold mushroom salad—three dishes and a soup, quite a feast!"

Yellow turned her head away, barely managing to stay upright. The group of Pokémon also looked like they were about to throw up. The two of them had been here for over a month, and their food was long gone. Wild mushrooms growing in the cave had become their staple food. But after eating them for days, even if they loved them, they were getting sick of them!

Silver sat down helplessly, picked up a piece of cold mushroom salad, and, suppressing his urge to vomit, ate it anyway. After finishing the mushrooms, Silver said with a bitter face, "Everyone, hurry up and eat, we still have to train later. Ryan, come save us! I want vegetables! I want meat! Even Pokémon food will do!"

The Pokémon glared at Silver; they clearly remembered that this guy had eaten the last can of Pokémon food! They say a person without shame is invincible—Silver perfectly exemplified this. Could you be any more shameless?! You even stole Pokémon food!

Yellow also chewed on the mushrooms helplessly. To be honest, these mushrooms actually tasted pretty good. But even delicious mushrooms can't withstand eating them three times a day; it's only natural to get sick of them.

After finishing the mushroom feast, Yellow took a deep breath, suppressing her nausea, and said, "Alright, let's go train. We have to capture Registeel today!"

Silver lay on the ground, clutching his stomach in pain, and said, "I really can't take this anymore. Ryan, come quick! I don't want this month's salary! Just give me a can of meat!"

"You said it yourself, I didn't force you." A faint, amused voice came.

Yellow and Silver jumped up instantly, shouting, "Ryan!!!"

Ruby's Gardevoir held up a ball of light, dispelling the darkness, and Ryan and his group walked over. Ryan took a can of meat out of his backpack and threw it to Silver, saying, "Here, the can of meat you wanted. I'm not paying your salary this month."

Of course, this was just a joke. Whether these people were working for points or genuinely working for Ryan, at least he would definitely compensate them for the suffering they endured.

Silver, holding the can of meat, exclaimed with tears in his eyes, "Finally, I finally don't have to eat mushrooms anymore!"

Then, the next second, a group of Pokémon snatched the can of meat away and devoured it. Then they called out to Silver, and Ryan's expression instantly turned strange: Are we even now?

Regardless of everything else, Ryan still took out some food and water, along with a large amount of Pokémon food and Poké Puffs to reward them. Although they had already eaten, these guys were truly moved to tears upon tasting familiar food again.

After settling the food issue, Yellow told Ryan about what had happened during this time. Ryan nodded and said, "Then, take me to see Regigigas. I also have some questions to ask it."

Yellow nodded and then led everyone to Regigigas's location. As for Silver? He was too full, so let him rest for a while.

They arrived at Regigigas's cave, which was guarded by the three Regi trio. However, the three golems did not stop Yellow and directly allowed everyone to enter the cave. Here, Ryan met Regigigas.

Upon seeing Regigigas, Ryan confirmed that the giant mentioned on the plates was definitely not Regigigas. After all, Regigigas was only about four meters tall, even larger than Groudon and Kyogre in their Primal forms, and could not possibly defeat Arceus.

Ryan explained his purpose to Regigigas, who immediately agreed. Regigigas then notified the three Regi trio to summon the other four.

When the four Pokémon arrived, Groudon recognized Ryan instantly from his aura. Seeing this over three-meter-tall creature shedding tears, Ryan felt a pang of sympathy.

After comforting Groudon, Ryan turned his attention to Giratina. Although he didn't want to admit it, Ryan was indeed curious about the Distortion World. Moreover, in his previous life, it was widely theorized online that the Distortion World was the afterlife of the Pokémon world. Since the Pokémon involved was here, why not ask?

"Giratina, can I ask you something?" Ryan asked.

Giratina nodded obligingly and made a few sounds at Ryan, meaning: Ask away, I'll tell you everything I know.

Ryan nodded and said, "Regarding the Distortion World, what kind of world is it exactly? In our world's Distortion World, if you accidentally enter it, your body will be invaded by its chaotic energy, causing you or your Pokémon to weaken. I'm still very curious about this."

Giratina: Actually, the Distortion World can also be called the Reverse World. It's similar to our current world, but its essence hasn't been destroyed. It can be said to be the opposite of the real world, hence the name Distortion World. When Pokémon use Phantom Force or my signature move Shadow Force, they infiltrate the Distortion World and then observe the enemy from there to attack.

Giratina's words helped Ryan clear up his doubts. Giratina also specifically told Ryan that if he wanted to go to the Distortion World and avoid being invaded by its chaotic energy, the best way was to find a Pokémon that understood the essence of life to take him into the Distortion World.

Ryan nodded to indicate that he understood, and then began the relocation operation, calling all the Pokémon in this world over and capturing them one by one!
