The day before the grand opening of Leo's mansion, Ana's father, Mr. Luke, had been calling Leo nonstop, but he refused to answer.
Leo had sent one of his men to inform Mr Luke of Ana's passing, and the circumstances surrounding it. Since then, Mr. Luke had been trying to reach out to Leo, but he wasn't having it.
Leo called Liam and instructed him to get the jet ready. "We'll be leaving by 9 tonight," he said. "Inform my dad that I'll be living to Italy tonight."
Just then, Lucy walked in and overheard the conversation. "Leo,I heard your conversation with Liam ,I'm coming with you, whether you like it or not," she said.
Leo didn't even glance her way. "Pack your bags. We're leaving by 9," he said coldly.
Lucy's eyes welled up with excitement as she took a step forward, hoping to hug Leo. But instead, she received a cold stare from him .
"Leo, it's been 5 years since the incident," she said, her voice trembling. "I know I left you when you needed me most, but my career was at stake I had no choice you were always busy with finding your mom and Alex killer. Please, Leo, understand. What do you want me to do to make things right?"
Leo's laughter was bitter and mocking. "Make things work, Lucy? You want to make things work? Then leave, Lucy. Get the fuck out of my house and never show your face to me again."
With that, he hurled the glass of whiskey he was drinking across the room and walked past her, leaving Lucy standing alone, tears streaming down her face. She fell to her knees, whispering "Why, Leo? Why?" as the tears continued to flow.
