Yushiro no longer held anything back as he wanted to quickly go back and assist Oyashiro-sama. He no longer intended to test waters. This was a moment that would decide whether the Chinoike clan would step into the open world again or be erased quietly, as so many others had been before them.
He activated his Ketsuryūgan fully, and the change was immediate. A thin horizontal line formed across both irises, glowing with a deep, unsettling crimson. Blood began to seep from the corners of his eyes, running down his cheeks in thin streams that stained his cheeks. The pain was familiar and almost comforting.
Might Guy had no come across someone with bloodline genjutsu. He was already setting his stance, softened his muscles, controlled his breath, ready to burst as soon as the opponent moved. His training had always emphasized honesty to his body.... in movement and directness in intent.
He had fought against Sharingan user, his rival Kakashi, and he had learned the hard way that eyes could be weapons. Even so, he did not know of the abilities of his opponents and that they could use genjutsu. The moment his gaze met Yushiro's eyes, the world collapsed inward and he immediately fell prey to the genjutsu.
His consciousness was dragged violently into a crimson world. The battlefield vanished, replaced by an endless red expanse that pulsed like a living thing. Two enormous eyes opened in the blood sky, their gaze pinning him in place with crushing pressure. This was not a dream in the comforting sense. It was invasive, and suffocating, as though his very thoughts were being peeled open and read without permission.
"Genjutsu: Ketsuryūgan," Yushiro said calmly, his voice echoing unnaturally within the illusion.
Might Guy immediately recognized that he had been caught, yet recognition did not meant he could escape. He had never specialized in fighting genjutsu users yet, and he had always relied on sheer will and his physique to break free. Here, his body did not respond. His limbs felt distant, as though they belonged to someone else entirely. He strained, attempting to force chakra spikes or inflict pain upon himself, but the illusion held firm, tightening his mind like a vice.
Yushiro did not waste time. Within the genjutsu, information flowed naturally to him as blood would from an open wound. He sifted through Guy's surface thoughts first, then pressed deeper, carefully avoiding anything that might trigger resistance.
He learned the mission details of Guy and his comrade. This operation had been sanctioned directly to prevent Kumo from recruiting clans and prevent them from gaining more strength. Disruption, intimidation, and elimination were all acceptable outcomes. The true hand guiding Konoha, however, was a new shinobi who has recently taken over the Hokage position,
"Danzo," Yushiro repeated softly, filing the name away with quiet interest.
He continued probing, extracting details about Konoha's current state. The village was strained, bleeding from multiple fronts, its leadership fractured and unstable. The Third Hokage was dead, his body never recovered. The Yellow Flash had survived but lost an arm. Hyūga clan heads had lost an eye, a blow not just to strength but to their prestige. These details mattered, they painted a picture of the state of the village and Chinoike clan would decided whether to join Konoha or Kumo. And all this information can used by them to again an upper hand in negotiations with Kumo.
Yushiro pressed further, asking about other threats. Might Guy, trapped and unaware of how much he was revealing, spoke of the legendary Sannin, he didn't much about it and finally of Tsunade. The last revelation caused Yushiro to pause briefly.
"She is carrying a child the last time he saw," Guy's voice echoed in the crimson world, as he recalled whatever he saw in the third hokage's funeral which happen with no body and Danzo, standing at the forefront, used the moment to stir the crowd against Kumo. With measured words, he praised the greatness of the Third Hokage, speaking of his sacrifices and unwavering devotion to the village. As he spoke, tears streamed down his face, his grief carefully displayed for all to see.
That piece of information settled heavily in Yushiro's mind. The Senju Princess carrying new life. He committed it to memory, already considering how such knowledge might shape future decisions for his clan's survival.
All of this occurred within the span of moments in the real world.
The illusion shattered abruptly when a sharp impact tore through Might Guy's back. Kakashi's kunai, thrown from behind with precise timing, struck and drew blood. Yushiro had not anticipated interference from that angle, his focus momentarily dulled by the flow of information. The pain jolted Guy's awareness violently back into his body.
Blood spilled and that sensation became the crack Guy needed. He seized it without hesitation, forcing chakra through his system. The genjutsu buckled as raw power surged outward.
"Fifth Gate," Guy roared internally, his chakra erupting into a visible blue aura. "Gate of Closing."
The world snapped back into place. Guy vanished in a blur and reappeared directly in front of Yushiro, leg already rising into the opening motion of the Leaf Hurricane. His speed had multiplied as his presence intensified, and the ground beneath his feet fractured from the force of his movement.
Yushiro did not flinch and he observed the transformation with cool interest, even admiration. "That is quite a boost you gained," he remarked, even as his own blood reacted instantly to the threat.
From the pouch at his side, the iron-rich blood surged forth. The blood bottles were carefully prepared for moments like this, enveloped Guy's leg mid-kick. The impact landed, but its force was redirected and absorbed, the blood hardening just enough to negate the strike. With a flick of his wrist, Yushiro hurled Guy away, sending him skidding across broken ground.
"As a thanks for the information," Yushiro continued evenly, "I will end this quickly."
Guy rose unsteadily, pain already creeping into his muscles, but his youth burned brighter than ever. He understood the gap between them. This opponent was not merely stronger. He was experienced, and utterly merciless. Guy understood what was about to happen... for Kakashi to survive, he would be the sacrifice.
"Kakashi, fall back!" he shouted, voice cracking but unyielding.
His body screamed in protest as he forced more chakra through his gates. He pushed past what his body can handle... drawing deeper on reserves.
"Seventh Gate," he declared, veins bulging as his aura intensified and his skin turned blackish red. "Gate of Wonder."
