Chapter 91 - [91] Chinoike Yushiro and Sayami

Yushiro and Sayami arrived at the battlefield moments too late as their clan head rushed leaving them behind. The first thing Yushiro noticed was motion of a massive blood cocoon streaking across the sky, spinning violently as it was hurled toward the Valley of Hell, where they just came from. Behind it followed a figure wreathed in a crimson aura so intense that the air itself seemed to distort around him, heat and killing intent radiating. Even from this distance, the presence was suffocating.

Yushiro's eyes narrowed instantly, his instincts screaming danger. "Sayami," he said sharply, already shifting his stance, "we should turn back. Clan Head is in danger. We need to assist him immediately."

Sayami, who had been calmly observing the trajectory and speed of both figures, did not move right away. Her gaze followed the blood cocoon until it disappeared beyond the broken ridges leading into the Valley of Hell. She said her voice controlled but firm. "Don't panic," she replied. "Clan Head is the strongest. In the Valley of Hell, with the Blood Lake... he can use his full power without restraint. Whoever that opponent is, they chose the worst possible place to chase him."

Yushiro clenched his fists, irritation flickering across his face. "Strength alone doesn't guarantee victory," he snapped. "If we go back now, we can overwhelm the enemy faster and reduce unnecessary risk. Why hesitate?"

Sayami exhaled slowly, clearly weighing patience against urgency. "Because we have orders," she said. "Clan Head entrusted us with this battlefield. If we abandon it without completing our task, we break that trust. If you truly want to help him, then finish your assignment quickly and then move to reinforce. Acting on impulse helps no one."

Before Yushiro could argue further, a new presence entered his perception. Another figure shot forward after the blood cocoon, moving with decisive speed and controlled chakra output. They recognized almost instantly. "That's the Kumo chief advisor," Yushiro said. "Renga. He's heading to assist Clan Head."

Sayami allowed herself a brief nod. "Exactly. You see? He's not alone. Calm yourself. This battle will resolve itself soon enough."

Yushiro gritted his teeth but forced himself to comply, turning his attention back to the immediate battlefield. His irritation did not vanish. They advanced together, moving swiftly across shattered terrain until the clash of blades, lightning, and taijutsu came fully into view.

Ahead, two masked shinobi were engaged against Kumo shinobi. One wore a monkey mask and fought with overwhelming physical prowess, every strike carrying crushing momentum and flawless timing. The other, masked like a kitsune, wielded a lightning-charged tantō, his movements precise and economical without any wastage.

As they closed in, Yushiro noticed a smaller figure standing behind Kumo, coordinating movements with uncanny awareness. A child, the same child who was the speaker and was by Renga earlier in the dicussions.

Kaien saw them at almost the same moment. His eyes tracked their approach by silhouette alone, chakra signatures confirming what he already suspected. Chinoike clan reinforcements. He stepped forward without hesitation, raising one hand in a clear signal.

Yushiro and Sayami halted instinctively, surprised by the sudden signal from the child. Kaien spoke quickly, his words measured without wasting breath.

"The enemies are four hundred meters ahead," Kaien said. "Two opponents. Monkey mask boy is a pure taijutsu specialist with extreme speed and power. Kitsune mask boy uses lightning release and a tantō and possibly has a sharingan in left eye. They are both jōnin-level at minimum. End the battle quickly. If possible, capture the kitsune-masked shinobi or remove his left eye without damaging it. Retreat orders may follow depending on the situation."

The briefing was over almost as soon as it began.

Yushiro's expression darkened immediately. Being ordered by a child grated against every instinct he possessed. He opened his mouth to respond sharply, but Sayami placed a hand lightly on his arm, stopping him.

Without another word, both of them moved past Kaien and toward the battlefield, their bodies already shifting into combat readiness. Kaien watched them go, then turned and sprinted back toward Darui's position, knowing his role was not on the front line but in ensuring their momentum never stalled and everything is in order.

As they moved, Yushiro finally voiced his irritation. "That kid talks too much," he muttered. "If you hadn't stopped me, I would have put him in his place."

Sayami sighed, her patience thinning but still intact. "Focus," she said. "He wasn't wrong. And whether you like it or not, he's operating under Chief Advisor Renga's authority. Our job is simple. End this fight, I will take the Sharingan boy... you would outright kill him and remember to extract information from that Monkey masked boy for our clan."

They split without another word, each choosing a target instinctively.

Yushiro landed beside Mabui in a burst of motion, his arrival marked by a sharp crack as his feet struck the ground. Mabui, already struggling to create an opening against the relentless taijutsu assault but was escaping the opponent every move with nimble movement, glanced sideways in surprise.

"Lord Yushiro has arrived to the rescue," Yushiro announced with confidence, rolling his shoulders as he assessed the monkey-masked opponent.

Might Guy, masked but unmistakable in posture and presence, turned toward him with visible excitement. Even through the mask, his grin was obvious, teeth flashing beneath the mask. "Another challenger," Guy declared enthusiastically. "Excellent. My youth burns brighter with every test."

Yushiro felt it more clearly. The raw physical pressure radiating off Guy's body, disciplined and refined was just like the person who was chasing their Clan head. This was not a man relying on tricks or bloodlines. This was someone who had honed his body into a weapon through sheer will.

On the other side of the battlefield, Sayami landed smoothly beside Samui, her movements fluid and quiet. Samui stiffened immediately, sensing danger spike without warning.

"You're younger than I expected," Sayami said calmly, eyes fixed on the kitsune-masked shinobi ahead.

Kakashi did not respond verbally. His gaze shifted subtly, analyzing the new opponent their chakra flow, muscle tension, and intent. His sensory awareness screamed at him. This woman was dangerous.

He reached the same conclusion almost instantly: if she chose to fight seriously, she could defeat both him and Guy even if they coordinated perfectly.

Still, retreat was not an option.

"Anyways," Yushiro said loudly, rolling his neck as he faced Guy, "it's time to die."

"Anyways," Sayami echoed quietly, her tone chilling, "it's time to die."

The battlefield tensed, as Kakashi and Might Guy feeling the invisible shift as new apex predators entered the fray.
