I checked my phone for the third time in five minutes.
Still nothing from Miran.
Soojin glanced up from her homework. "She'll call."
"She said she'd call twenty minutes ago."
"Then she's probably still reviewing the agreement."
I stared at the screen until it finally lit up. I nearly dropped it answering.
"Mr. Han," Miran said. "I've reviewed the relevant sections of your trainee agreement and broadcast restrictions."
"And?"
"Nothing I've seen expressly prevents you from making a personal statement. Some provisions need closer examination, but I don't see an immediate contractual barrier. I've notified the appropriate contact at Lumo Entertainment of your intention. That's notification, not a request for approval."
I released a breath. She had not said the company approved of my decision, only that I could make it without immediately breaching a restriction. For tonight, that would have to be enough.
