DRAFT PUBLIC STATEMENT — HAN JIWON
To the viewers of RISE OF THE IDOLS and the public,
I acknowledge that I declared beta as my secondary gender when registering for the competition, despite knowing that I am an omega. I take full responsibility for this inaccuracy.
I feared that disclosing my secondary gender would lead to prejudgment rather than an assessment of my abilities. However, that fear does not excuse providing inaccurate information.
I am not ashamed of being an omega. My performances were earned through dedication and effort.
I respect the ongoing eligibility review and ask that my family's privacy be protected.
Sincerely, Han Jiwon
I read it three times.
Everything was reasonable. Miran had avoided making promises or accusations. But it sounded like something a company would release after a scandal: polished, careful, distant.
I kept returning to I take full responsibility.
