It's her… I instantly recognized that voice— the one that yelled at that stall keeper; the white hair… foxkin—
Shen paused, and immediately went from energetic to frowning and her eyebrows twitching. The air around her felt like it was boiling.
"Don't ignore me! Hey!"

It took so many attempts before Shen's patience ran out. She twirled around, I could feel the rage exude off her body.
"Noa, what do you want-? I don't have the time to dea-"
"Why were you ignoring me?!"
"If you let me finish! I do not have the time to deal with your current mood!"
They know each other…? These two apparently aren't on good terms it seems… Shen's tail flicked back and forth, mirroring the seething anger on her face.

Why am I the idiot? I rolled my eyes at her comment. She bumped into me…
Shen finally covered her face with her hands and let out a quiet groan. "This girl is my student."
"Another one? Are you that lonely you need nearly a hundred students?" Noa proclaimed, her tails…? Were flicking in anger. "You know frederic was worrying where you were at, right?! You've been gone for a week!"
"It was her birthday!" Shen exclaimed, I could practically hear her blood pressu- no I could hear her blood pressure rise. "Why are you even here?!"
Noa pulled her arms to her sides and crossed them. Her frown turned into a smug smile that held all her anger. "I'm making sure this place is up to Frederic's standards… And so far it's-"
… Is she some kind of messenger, like Shen for Dad? Why does he have two foxkins…Is my dad into animalkins…? I doubt it.. But he really isn't giving me any way to doubt it.
"Noa, Frederic isn't picky. That stand had monster eggs, they weren't rotten. Even regular scrambled eggs would suffice for Frederic."
"It won't suffice for me! I want the best for him!"
Why does she sound like a wife trying to spoil her husband? I felt my eyebrow twitch as Noa started to stomp her foot. And why does she look so familiar?
"You! What are you looking at?! Does a messy haired idiot like you not understand?!"
I felt my stomach tighten and I gritted my teeth.
"Yukina, stop it. This lady isn't worth arguing with. She's-"
Before Shen could finish her sentence. I had to cover my ears from the demonic screeching. Shen had to shake her head as I kept my ears cut off from sound.
I couldn't hear them yell at each other, however… Shen was obviously yelling whilst looking at me then Noa. I don't know how long passed… but Noa had visibly backed down.
You can let go of your ears now. Shen's voice resounded in my mind.
"Noa, apologize to her."
"Ugh…" Noa clenched her teeth. "I'm sorry."
That sounds so unauthentic… Noa looked like a child who lost an argument to an adult.
Seriously… Why does she look familiar? Now that anger that took over how she looked was over… I could get a good look at her.
White hair, white clothes lined with gold… Brown eyes, blue weird markings on her forehead and below her eyes.
She began to tap on her arm as her evident anger was rising. What are those fingers…
They were pitch black with scriptures carved into them… they moved like regular figures but were closer to claws…
"Good, now if you'll excuse us…"

"No you are not! I'd rather go with my student!"
Yet again… I closed off my hearing and tried to distance myself from these two.
Certain words I could read off their mouths caught my attention and made me open them again.
"Shen what is so special about this one anyways? Is she another legendary race being? Is that why you're so protective of her?"
"..." Shen immediately seized at that question and started to scratch her head. "Well… she is…" Seconds later what came out of her mouth was only loud enough for us three to hear. "Fenrir, that's what she is."
Noa tilted her head and stared at me; then to shen, but with a more bored expression than before. She looked like she didn't believe it in the slightest. "If that's all, that's rich coming from the woman who has a few legendary beings as her children."

Eventually Shen caused the argument to end. It still worked even though Noa was pissed… She really has so much anger issues. Worse than my mom's back on earth…huh..
She intruded and started to walk with us, constantly huffing and puffing; heck… she kept bothering Shen about who I was, not bothering to ask me. It really only seemed like she was interested in bothering Shen, not caring about me.
Shen had to take the lead, well since I didn't know what the place was… apparently Noa had no idea. Her raving about my dad really isn't showing, huh? So she really was just out to annoy Shen.
Her poor partner… I thought as I glanced at the ring on her left hand.
"What are you looking at?"

"I was… looking at your ring."
"Oh, it was given to me by my husband…"
She looks happy now. I noted as I could see her tails start to wag.
"You might've heard of him…"
"He told us not to tell anyone." Shen intervened. "It's for your protection, so don't say it."
"Fine…"
Noa crossed her arms as we kept walking. The slight happiness she had was already gone— and turned to immense irritation as our journey went on. Great…
Two angry foxgirls, both I can't really get away from. People were staring at us… it's an odd sight, I know!
A fenrir, a foxgirl with a halo… and a vampire foxkin. Something you'd only see once in your entire life. Heck… even the lizardkin were watching from their sides. It let my social anxiety increase massively…
We stayed quiet as we went through most of the shopping district, only stopping when we stood in front of a cafe. The windows were clear like a clean river.
I could see many different animalkin, men and women talking with the waitresses and waiters… They were also animalkin. Is this what they were talking about?
