Blake was staring at the ceiling.
Two days had passed.
The system did return the day before, but Blake couldn't ask questions yet, as the door to his room was always left open.
He couldn't get up alone to go to the bathroom, so that also wasn't an option.
Fortunately, his passive ability was functioning. His recovery had been especially quick, far faster than any normal human should have managed after what happened beneath the hospital.
Not that Blake was complaining.
He sighed heavily and covered his face with both hands.
'Why did I say those things to Myles?'
He groaned beneath his palms.
'It was way too much.'
He'd practically broken down in front of everyone, begged them not to dislike him, talked to Myles about his family, his regrets...
And then he'd held Myles' hand like some abandoned child.
Blake slowly lowered his hands.
These past two days, he'd mostly slept.
