The fierce assault had not yet ended.
Magneto widened his eyes, warily scanning the surroundings as he tried to find even the slightest trace of Yujin.
He manipulated countless pieces of metal, making them sweep through the air, searching every inch of space without leaving a single corner unchecked.
Yet everything around him remained deathly silent.
Aside from the faint scraping sound of moving metal, there wasn't a single abnormal noise.
Just as he was about to expand his search farther outward, an indescribable sense of dread surged up from deep within him.
A cold chill crept down his spine, as if a pair of unseen eyes hidden in the darkness were staring straight into him.
Magneto whipped around suddenly—
And in that instant, a pair of blood-red eyes appeared in his field of vision!
Those eyes radiated endless hatred and an eerie, otherworldly power, like an abyss straight out of hell, stabbing directly into the depths of his soul.
The moment their gazes met, Magneto felt the world around him twist violently.
He suddenly found himself standing in an unbelievably horrifying scene, the air thick with a nauseating, greasy smell.
The stench crawled up his nostrils, forcing his stomach to churn violently.
A terrifying thought flashed through his mind.
This was the smell of human fat—the odor produced when his fellow people were burned alive.
This was a concentration camp.
The familiar yet distant scene dragged out the memories he least wanted to revisit.
The figures of his persecuted kin surfaced one after another before his eyes—their screams, their despair, rising like a tidal wave and suffocating him.
Magneto couldn't endure it any longer.
He bent over and retched violently.
In the real world, his body began shaking uncontrollably.
His eyes squeezed shut, and both hands clamped over his head as if desperately trying to resist something invading his mind.
His mental defenses collapsed completely, and the body that had been levitating in midair suddenly lost all support, plummeting straight toward the ground.
Just as Magneto was about to crash heavily into the earth, a force of telekinesis caught him at the last moment.
Jean Grey acted in time, following Professor X's urgent instruction.
Professor X, seated in his wheelchair, quickly arrived at the scene.
There was a trace of concern and confusion in his eyes.
Looking at the unconscious Magneto, he wondered silently—what kind of power could push such a formidable mutant to this state?
Following Jean Grey's gaze, Professor X turned his attention to Yujin, who fluttered his wings lightly as he landed with elegant ease.
A hint of curiosity flickered in Xavier's eyes.
What kind of mutant possessed such a complex ability?
Someone who could create psychic illusions, fly freely, and even possess physical durability surpassing Wolverine's?
"This guy… is he the 'Apocalypse' of a new era?"
Not long after, Magneto, who had been lying unconscious on the ground, finally woke up.
He opened his eyes and, upon seeing Professor X, looked around the wrecked surroundings in confusion.
"Why am I in the White House? What happened to me?" he asked.
Professor X didn't answer. Instead, he placed his hand gently on Magneto's head.
In that instant, Professor X saw the face of a high-ranking official—someone he had seen before during the White House meeting.
With the answer now clear, Professor X urgently told Magneto, "It was William Stryker! He used some method to take control of your mind!"
Magneto held his throbbing head as he slowly stood up. "I… I think I remember something now."
As he glanced at the people around them, Magneto raised a brow and asked curiously, "That Asian guy… is he a new student you recruited?"
"No. He's with S.H.I.E.L.D.—Nick Fury's man," Professor X replied.
Before he could explain further, Yujin suddenly roared, "Whose father are you?!"
"So… you don't even know how many children you have."
At the gates of the White House, Yujin had just finished asking about Magneto.
Magneto not only had no knowledge of Wanda, he also didn't know about Quicksilver.
Even after asking Professor X, there wasn't a single student in the school who could run that fast.
That left only one possible explanation.
In this universe, the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver likely followed the "Axis" storyline combined with the setting of the Avengers movies.
But no matter which version of Wanda it was, she remained an incredibly powerful existence.
The Wanda from Avengers: Endgame was, in fact, just one step away from taking down Thanos alone—with only the Darkhold missing.
Yujin noticed Professor X staring at him and stopped his train of thought.
"Professor, staring like that is rude," he said.
"Sorry," Professor X quickly looked away.
"I can't find William Stryker's whereabouts. Did anyone just see him?"
At that moment, Wolverine approached, supporting a limping Storm.
"William Stryker?" he muttered. "Why does that name sound so familiar?"
Yujin thought to himself that of course Wolverine was familiar with the name.
After all, his entire body of adamantium had been accidentally obtained through the cruel experiments of William Stryker.
While everyone was quietly discussing, a squad of soldiers finally appeared!
They wore uniform black combat suits and tactical helmets.
They fanned out quickly, surrounding the X-Men, guns pointed at them, fingers on the triggers—any careless move could trigger an intense conflict.
Knowing that any rash action could escalate into a full-blown gunfight, the X-Men slowly raised their hands to show they meant no harm.
Professor X sat calmly in his wheelchair, speaking sincerely.
"This is all a misunderstanding. Erik Lehnsherr [Magneto] has been manipulated. He had no intention of attacking the White House."
However, the black soldier standing at the front of the squad remained upright, his expression alert and cold.
His eyes swept over the X-Men with unwavering determination, ignoring Professor X's explanation.
He shouted decisively, "You have five seconds to surrender, or we will open fire!"
"Five!"
"Four!"
At this tense moment, Magneto finally made a move.
He slightly lifted his head, a powerful and commanding aura radiating from his gaze.
Slowly, he raised both hands, palms facing outward.
Yujin immediately felt it— the pressure Magneto was putting on him now was on a completely different level compared to when he had been under control just moments ago.
In an instant, an invisible, overwhelming magnetic force radiated from Magneto's body, quickly enveloping the entire area.
The soldiers felt as if the guns in their hands were suddenly being pulled by an immense, invisible force.
They slipped slowly from their grasp, floating into the air, completely out of control.
The weapons they had held tightly, intended to attack the X-Men, now pointed eerily in the opposite direction—directly at themselves.
This sudden turn of events froze the atmosphere instantly.
Shock and fear spread across the soldiers' faces.
Their bodies tensed involuntarily, eyes wide with terror and unease at the unknown power surrounding them.
