Themiscyra faced an imminent threat of war and destruction, which was closely related to Ares the God of War.
The conflicts in Man's World also would affect the fate of Themiscyra , and the gods decreed a champion be sent to Man's World as a representative.
The goddesses said the Amazons have stayed isolated for long enough.
Hippolyta, despite her distrust of men didn't see any problem with this , but she forbade Diana from participating in the tournament to choose the champion but the unruly girl still participated and won.
Hippolytta couldn't find any reason to stop Diana thus she wished her well on her journey. She knew this day would come… but as a mother it still worried her to no end.
But the second part of the prophecy was what confused her.
'The son of Gaea?' That was far too vague , so vague that it could be anyone.
But the enemies she might face were what made her clench her teeth in hatred.
A stain on her being that never left her , her love and trust repaid by chains and betrayal.
It was a trauma she didn't want to relive, but it seems fate had other plans for her and her sisters as Hercules would step foot on Themyscira once again with his filthy men.
Hippolyta was still debating whether to reveal this matter to her fellow Amazons , but her sister Antiope's matter made her hesitate as she was aware that her sister still felt guilty over Theseus.
Anitiope chose her love over her sisters only for her to be betrayed and killed by the same love.
Some Amazons still disliked Antiope but they had forgiven her except for the woman herself who couldn't forgive herself for the betrayal…..

But Hippolyta was aware that she couldn't keep this matter hidden as this was a matter of existential crisis and they all had a right to know.
Hippolyta felt a hint of dread at the thought of facing both Hercules and Ares as there was a chance of Ares joining the battle.
She only hoped sending Diana to Mans world would uncover the path they could take to survive this crisis.
She didn't wish to relive that tragedy again…

Kara covered her face in embarrassment as she just wished the world would end now so she wouldn't have to live anymore and endure this misery.
Not sensing any movements from Adrian , Kara peeked through the gaps of her fingers at Adrian as the guy in question was just smiling at her with amusement and gentleness making Kara pout as she lowered her hands with a huff.
" S-So yeah! I like you! " Kara said with a cute scowl as she pointed her fingers at Adrian with a flushed face.

"Like , I really like you! The kind that makes me feel like butterflies are dancing in my stomach! " Kara continued as she poked at Adrian's chest aggressively like she was looking for a fight rather than a confession.

" A-And you better not be getting any ideas! Just because I like you! " Kara got more worked up as she talked, and she caught Adrian by the collar while she was growling like an adorable puppy.

" I-I'm not an easy girl! You can't seduce me with your handsome face or your stupid smile!!" Kara's face was just inches away from Adrian's as she got annoyed at his calm but confused expression.
Kara did the only illogical thing that came to her mind as she pulled him forward and mashed her lips against his… or she thought she did….
"Ouch!" Kara became teary eyed as she sniffled as her nose hit Adrian's face making a jolt of pain course through her body.
Kara sniffled as she glared at Adrian like a wronged puppy with her cute nose scrunched up while tears pooled in her eyes.
" A-A word from your mouth … and I'm committing double suicide…I'll throw you into the sun and dive in myself! " …
