'Huh?' Barbara blinked in confusion before pulling her hand away like she had just touched hot iron as she glared at Adrian who just shrugged his shoulders with an innocent face.
Barbara moved away from him but still stayed close enough as she crossed her arms under her chest and tapped her foot impatiently as if she was waiting for an explanation but Adrian's words caught her completely off guard.
"Thanks for worrying about me Barbara~..." Adrian said gently, making Barbara choke as she became flustered.
"W-Who is worried about you! I'm just worried about Kara! " Barbara said in a Tsundere manner and she averted her eyes as his gentle demeanour was making her remember the time at the rooftops when he kissed her hand.
Whenever she was alone she would always think back to that moment and it would make her all hot and bothered.
"I understand ~ " Adrian just smiled as he gazed at Barbara who felt both annoyed and flustered.

" You shouldn't kill people… murder doesn't solve anything…" Barbara gazed at Adrian with a complicated gaze , she was sitting and talking to a murderer but she couldn't bring herself to dislike him.
" I didn't kill anyone Miss Gordon~ " Adrian was still carefree , because Adrian Frost didn't kill anyone… if the criminals got killed by a dark brooding entity then it was none of his problem.
"Stop playing dumb…. I know it's you.." Barbara narrowed her eyes at him as she wasn't buying his excuses.
She might not be able to prove anything but the chances of it being him was more than 100% especially with the reports from Belle Reeve.
The convicts that escaped somehow ended up with him and now they are working for him , this is no mere coincidence and Barbara wasn't a 5 year old.
" Well if my memory serves me right the missing criminals are the worst of the worst right ? " Adrian asked curiously knowing the chances of Batman listening were high but what Adrian didn't know was that Batman was balls deep in steel with a somewhat broken back.
So other than the usual location tracker there were no audio bugs on Barbara to monitor him.
" So ? That justifies murdering them! " Barbara was a bit agitated while Adrian was calm. Her sense of justice was admirable but it was not something he would be willing to follow.
If Adrian sees a person kill innocent people for fun then he wouldn't be putting them behind bars but 6 feet under.
"Even Victor Zazz? " Adrian gazed at Barbara who stiffened a bit at the mention of that name.
"Laws exist for a reason…" Barbara bit her lips as she said with difficulty while clenching her fists.
"If justice was just blind and not impartial then I would agree , but when a psycho like him gets to roam free until Batman puts him behind bars only for him to escape and kill more people and the cycle just keeps on repeating…. I would like to think otherwise" Adrian shrugged as he leaned back on the couch while Barbara just glared at him.
"So we should just start killing criminals from now on ? !" Barbara snapped back as Adrian just chuckled.
"I didn't tell you to do anything Barbara , neither am I saying that your methods are wrong. I don't look down on you… in fact it's quite the contrary…" Adrian said gently as he gazed at Barbara who felt her chest tighten under his gaze as she felt flustered.
"I admire your dedication to maintaining your principles and your will to be selfless in a city that devours the goodness in people. Despite being a normal human you still go out there to fight crime and try to make a difference. That's more than what I can say for the ones that just talk big without anything to back it up…" Adrian's words resonated with Barbara as she didn't think this jackass viewed her like this.
She thought he was just some edgy vigilante who thought putting Criminals 6 feet under was the solution to everything.
"T-Then why?… " Barbara asked in a low tone as she was glad that her cowl hid her face because she didn't want Adrian seeing her face.
Adrian understood clearly what she was alluding to.
"I'm not a hero , I just do what feels right to me. To me innocent lives matter more than the life of some psychotic criminal , I won't lose sleep knowing Victor Zazz is no more…" Barbara opened her lips to say something but she didn't know what to say.
He said he didn't disagree with her principles but at the same time told her he wouldn't be following them, what was she supposed to say to that ?
Try to arrest him ? Or put him behind bars ?
Pfft~ As if! If Kara's claims were right then he was no less faster or stronger than a Kryptonian as he exhibited a lot of abilities similar to Kryptonians thus Adrian Frost was above Barbara Gordon's paygrade.
"Are you really that sad that Joker went missing? Shouldn't you be glad ~ " Adrian said in a laid back tone making Barbara sigh helplessly.
"There is a proper way to do things and this just isn't it…" Barbara said in an annoyed tone as she leaned back on to the couch feeling exhausted from having to deal with this obnoxious idiot who was making her feel all kinds of things….
