"What the hell is going on?"
Arya froze. She slowly turned around, only to see two teens who looked like they had seen ghosts.
Their smell was really strong, and Arya realized that if war broke out, it would be very hard to keep them safe. Their scent would drive the wolves insane with hunger, and there would be no way that they could get out since the gate would be bolted shut.
"Wait for me in your room. I'll be there in a minute," Arya said, hoping they would understand.
"But you said...." Before they could finish their sentence, a loud scream was heard, followed by growls.
"ROOM, NOW!!! Arya screamed so loud that everyone cowered in fear. Her cousins could have sworn they saw her eyes glow.
Something about the situation didn't feel right. Marcus and Natalie had been waiting in their room, but Arya didn't come. How long does it take a person to get a wine glass? Well, it certainly wouldn't take hours, even when she had to look for it.
It was getting dark, and it had been hours, then suddenly, they heard whispers in the hallway.
"This way."
"Yes, this will be good here."
"Everything will be fine."
"The luna has to handle everything."
"We have to trust her."
And so on.
"What's going on?" Natalie asked Marcus, who seemed to be wondering the same thing.
"Don't know," Marcus shrugged. "And Arya should have been here by now. Where is she? Don't tell me, she went to the glass making factory to make one wine glass."
Natalie elbowed him, and he pretended to get hurt and went backward, holding his side dramaticly.
"Maybe we should go check?" Natalie said, which sounded more like a question.
Marcus immediately focused, "Yup."
Both siblings walked out of the room and found so many people walking around and talking.
They all paused and looked at them like they were prey. They got closer to each other, as they hurried to wherever their feet carried them.
They thought about calling our, but knew it would be useless since their were so many people that their voice wouldn't reach her.
The looks they got from everyone made the hair on their spine stand. They looked so animalistic.
"Who are these people?" Marcus whispered to Natalie.
"Just focus. We have to get to Arya." Came the reply.
A team of what looked like medical personnel crossed them as they came down the stairs, carrying medical equipment. A woman with beautiful grey eyes, along with other young girls, passed them, going to the left.
Then, near the front door, they saw Arya. She looked busy, giving orders to some old lady, and pointing in different directions.
They couldn't hold in their curiosity. "What the hell is going on?" Natalie asked, no longer able to hold it in.
They saw what looked like fear in their sisters' eyes.
"Wait for me in your room. I'll be there in a minute."
Arya didn't answer. Just told them to go to their room.
"But you said..."
A loud scream made not only them but the entire crowd gasped. Then came growls. That made everyone freeze in shock.
"ROOM, NOW!!! The ferral scream that came out of Arya made them both turn and run back upstairs.
Something was not right.
They both sat terrified in their room as more growls came from outside. They were too petrified to even look out.
The first growl was a sign that the rogues had somehow invaded the border.
After sending her brother and sister to their rooms, Arya made sure the doors were dead bolted and calmed down the children, who were now crying.
"Everyone, we are safe. The rogues can not enter the house, as they would be electrocuted as soon as they touch it. We have nothing to fear, so we will just pray that all our mates are safe," Arya said at the top of her voice.
Genevieve was now by her side, knowing that Arya was new to all this, and was probably scared herself.
She helped Arya calm the crowd and keep peace umongst the packed house of women and pups, who are the future of this pack.
After his mindlink to his mate, Alfa, along with Ronald and Trevor, ran through the forest to the southern border, where the sight of the rogues were reported.
What they didn't know was that this was a trap. The army of rogues were actually at the western border, and due to the dump, the border patrol couldn't smell their scent.
They entered through the border and wrecked havoc. Before Alfa and his men realized it, the rogues were near the pack house.
'Alfa, are you alright? Please tell me everyone is fine.' Arya mindlinked him. He knew she was worried for the safety of not only him but the entire pack.
Arya could sense the fear and worry of every pack member, including the pups, who were yet to find their wolfs.
'They tricked us. Are you all safe?'
'Yes, we're all in the house, but they have reached here!'
'Don't worry. We're on our way.'
The loudest growl signaled that the alfa was now here. Most of the rogues whimpered, but many charged.
Braxen charged at the nearest wolf, and he was quick to dodge, but Braxen was able to dig his canines into his hind leg, making the rogue whine.
Another rogue jumped from behind him, but Braxen saw him and moved just enough to get a hold of his neck.
Another wolf jumped at him and got hold of Braxen from behind.
Azan was able to jump on the intruder and push him off of his alfa.
'There's too many. We need help.' Trevor mindlinked Alfa.
'Arya, we need your help. You need to try and mindlink Rodriguez. He's the only one who can stop this war.'
It was unusual for an alfa to ask for help.
"Mother, Alfa needs me to try and mindlink the alfa of rogues, Rodriguez. What I don't understand is why an alfa would ask for help from the rogue alfa," Arya said to Genevieve.
"Child, sometimes the rogues who attack will only bow down to their Alfa, therefore packs who are attacked by rogues need to call upon Rodriguez, or he would wage war on the pack that kills any rogues, regardless of whether he knows them or not," Genevieve tried to explain as best as she could.
Arya held onto her pendant, hoping it would do its magic, and began thinking about Rodriguez and all the rogues.
'Alfa Rodriguez? Can you hear me?'
'Who the hell are you, and what do you want?'
