He waited with anticipation in his breath.

Sonny went closer, his hands clenched into a fist, trying to hold down the excitement.
Killian opened his eyes, a hint of confusion, like he was trying to gather his memories, and he called out, "Sonny."
Sonny smiled. "I'm here."
He grabbed his hands, and Killian grabbed his in return. Killian arched his brow. "Why do you look exhausted?"
He furrowed his brow. "Have you not been sleeping?"
Sonny shook his head. "I couldn't sleep; I was too worried about you."
Killian tried to move, to get up, but the pain in his body caused him to furrow his brow.
Sonny shook his head and pressed him down. "Don't move."
Killian nodded and slumped on the bed and asked, "What happened while I was out?"
He said, "My former master is locked up, so no one is hurt."
He nodded and turned to Sonny. "Come here."
