Sonny's POV
I knew I shouldn't reveal my secrets, but I couldn't help it. Most of all, I was tired of everything inside, and Killian kept pushing my buttons till I had no choice but to spill everything behind my parents' death.
The look in Killian's eyes, a mix of astonishment and horror, gutted me the most. Does he think I'm just a monster? A monster that enjoys tormenting others?
I laughed bitterly. "What? Do you have something to say? Say it."
Kilian walked to the edge of the bed before sitting down. The look on his face was weary and tired. He shook his head. "Is that why you didn't tell me?"
I wiped my face harshly. "Yes."
"I'm sorry for what my sect did to you and your family."
I wasn't expecting to hear that. I wasn't sure what I wanted to hear, but some part of me was expecting him to curse me, saying that I'm a beast. But all I received was an apology.
