Chapter 137 - Chapter 139: Darth Sidious

"Where is the child?" Din Djarin asked concisely.

The other party had better answer just as concisely.

"Here, here! I only drew a little of his blood! I... I volunteered for this job to protect them!" The young researcher pushed out a floating, oval-shaped carrier from behind him. He opened the lid, and a small, green thing stared out with wide eyes.

"What will you do to him?" As if gathering his courage again, the young researcher asked, trembling. The murderous aura from the man in front of him was too strong. He was afraid one wrong move would cost him his life.

"That's none of your business." Din Djarin walked forward, pulled the carrier over, and moved backward toward the door without lowering his blaster.

The researcher didn't dare move. Only after the terrifying figure disappeared did he let out a breath of relief. But he still didn't dare stand up and hid behind the operating table again.

. . .

The elevator ride of less than a hundred floors passed in an instant.

Amir faced the open doors and stepped out.

Glancing around, he found himself in the hangar of Floor 101. The landing bay was empty; the ships must have already been dispatched to fight.

Amir turned and walked inland. His target was the command hall.

Casually sticking a few bombs to the wall, Amir soon found a huge door. As he approached, he heard panicked voices inside.

He waved his right hand lightly to the side, and the massive valve door slid open.

The Professor, standing at the command console, looked up. A young man he had never seen appeared at the door: golden hair, wearing a brown-gray robe, a pack on his front and back, with a small droid perched on top.

The youth brazenly took several bombs from his pack, tossed them onto a nearby load-bearing pillar, and then threw a few more onto the wall.

The Professor was shocked and suspicious. But when he looked closer, he saw the lightsaber in Amir's hand. He shivered, and panic appeared on his face.

"Quick! An intruder! Attack him!" the Professor shouted to his guards. In the room, two combat droids and four stormtroopers raised their weapons and aimed at Amir.

Seeing he was targeted, Amir didn't panic. He spread his Force perception. The two combat droids in the distance suddenly made a creaking sound, stiffly turned their guns, and aimed at the stormtroopers in front of them.

They opened fire. The four stormtroopers never expected the droids to rebel. Their undefended backs were riddled with blaster bolts. They couldn't be more dead.

After this, the two droids sparked, collapsed with a clatter, and then exploded violently.

The basic construction of droids was similar. Amir knew this well, and the structure of these combat droids was no exception. So Amir had tried to control them via their circuitry.

It had barely worked. But for Amir, it was too brain-draining and inefficient. For just two droids, it was easier to just slice them up.

The Professor and the remaining technicians were terrified. For his own safety, the Professor had kept a squad of stormtroopers and two droids by his side, yet they were wiped out in an instant?! And in such a bizarre way!

Amir ignored the remaining non-combatants and walked straight to the large computer in the middle of the room, inspecting it as if no one else was there.

The data is too vast. My wristguard's storage isn't enough...

Amir turned to the Professor: "Give me a storage device."

The Professor's eyes widened. You're here to rob me, you didn't bring your own sack, and you're asking me, the victim, to find one for you?

But he didn't dare refuse. He had a technician bring over a rectangular data drive.

Amir took it with the Force and placed it on the computer's wireless transfer port.

"The key!" Amir said again.

I could crack it, but it would take too long.

The Professor was reluctant, but under Amir's cold gaze, he timidly walked to the computer and inserted a cylindrical key.

The data began copying.

Amir drummed his fingers on the console. The room was eerily quiet.

He wanted to plant a few more bombs, but when he reached back, he realized he only had a few left.

BD-4 was having trouble balancing.

Amir looked up, observing the environment. Black stone floor, alloy walls, cold light, a row of instruments, the central computer.

Everything was very familiar.

Suddenly, Amir realized something. His heart began to race. He knew where this was.

The precognition. The one he had downstairs before leaving with Parks.

The black-robed figure, the dark room! It was here!

Everything he saw in that vision was happening in this room!

In Amir's perception, a cold Force was approaching.

No way... Amir looked at the walls. Is it too late to run?

Just as Amir was in a daze, the main doors slowly opened.

The familiar black robe appeared in Amir's vision.

"The Sith Emperor..." Amir recognized him at a glance. Warned by the precognition, he had already suspected. He wasn't as surprised as he might have been.

The dark side washed over him. It was just like the vision. An irresistible pressure slammed into Amir's body. The dark side began to erode his mind, and fear began to grow.

Amir quickly wrapped his entire body in the light side of the Force. The pressure indeed lessened, and the erosion stopped.

The Sith Emperor removed his hood, revealing his pale, grotesque face.

"You have become a Jedi, hehe." Darth Sidious looked at Amir and sneered.

Amir didn't speak. He looked at the copy progress bar. It was past 24%.

Still some time left. Amir gripped his lightsaber.

"Who is your master? Let me guess... Obi-Wan Kenobi." Though it was a question, Darth Sidious said it with certainty.

"You have chosen a very, very wrong path, my child. The Jedi are extinct. By following a failure, you will only become weaker! You will never grasp what you desire."

Darth Sidious looked at Amir's silence and cold expression and finally grew angry. His face became cruel. He thrust out his right hand.

Seeing this, Amir used his full Force Shield, wrapping a strong barrier around his body! But this all-out shield began to whine, overwhelmed by the immense force. Amir felt everything he could sense being enveloped by the dark side. At this moment, the entire world seemed to be crushing him.
