Chapter 9: What if- ZOMBIES!
Madame Web smiles "Shouta, before We begin, how would you describe a perfect hero?"
Everyone in the room looks to the sleep-deprived teacher who frowns "A proper hero is one that does what He does, no room for flash and fanfare, if you aren't serious in this business, you will end up dead."
Web nods "Any particular reason for this rule? Or perhaps an event in your past..."
He frowns "I don't want to talk about it..."
Web pouts "Oh well, I know already, viewing into the vast multiverse, I already know why you place this rule on yourself, but I want to say this; What happened was none of your faults."
Aizawa's eyes widened "You know..."
"Of course child! I know all!" Web chastises the man "You believe that a hero must be serious 24/7, no nonsense as well. While I agree that your world overdoes it quite a bit with... everything." She looks to both Momo and Kendo who cringed as They remembered the shampoo commercial "The need to bring smiles must never be forgotten, one of the greatest lessons Peter Parker has ever learned was to have faith in children and their smiles."
"Smiles don't change the world." All Might looked ready to jump in but Web holds her hand up.
She smiles "Well I do think smiles can change the world, bringing smiles and offering smiles can make a world of difference, I feel a certain person you knew would agree with me." Aizawa frowns, but says nothing as that would be something Oboro would try and shove down his throat.
"But enough talk, I believe it is time for the next viewing, I hope a few of you are paying attention... Well, except those of you who are a bit squeamish."
"Squeamish?" Jirou asks
"Indeed... For this tale, it will be alittle different, What I will show is a world under the careful eye of a watcher."
"A watcher?" Bakugou raises an eyebrow
"Powerful beings that look after the multiverses to make sure history is going to it's design, They commonly do not interfere... But the time's they do are of great concern to the universe They inhabit."
"Really? So We will see the Watcher interact with Spider-Man?" Mandalay asks
"No, Not this time, merely We will be seeing a watcher watching over an alternate universe's version of Spider-Man, a paradoxical one at that."
"How so? I'm confused already..." Twice mumbles
"Patience, Children... Young Midoriya, do keep your notes up, this story will be important for later."
Deku blushes being called on, but nods "Of course!"
She smiles "Very well... BEHOLD!"
It was the endless void of space for but a moment
"Space.. The final frontier..." David Shield quotes to Mellissa's utter embarrassment as everyone giggled at her father antics
Suddenly, a bright light flashes across the screen as a green man is seen flying through the light "Doctor Bruce Banner, The human hiding within the incredible Hulk, fell from the stars to warn humanity of imminent danger." The watcher says as Hulk begins to descend onto earth
"The hulk? Is He a hero?" Nejire says, curious
"Well, He's gonna warn the people of trouble so He must be a good guy!" Mirio says confidently smiles, to the delight of Eri and a few others
"Don't be too quick to make rash judgements, We know nothing of this Banner-Hulk... Him telling the people of danger could be a cover if his own life is in danger.." Aizawa says, looking at the screen with interest, at least it isn't Spider-Man...
"But the world He found was not one He recognized." He says ominously as the light breaks through a window and Hulk crashes through a staircase
Many raised eyebrows to the watcher's words "What the hell does He mean by that?..." Shigaraki says
"No clue... Just gotta keep watching and keep our eyes open, I guess?" Dabi replies, also kinda unnerved by the Watcher's ominous tone.
In the hole that was once a staircase, Hulk slowly began to shrink until He became an average man in his thirty's "Thanos is coming... He's coming..."
"Thanos... He came to warn the world of a threat known as Thanos..." Deku writes down
"Who's Thanos?" Uraraka whispers to Deku
"I... Don't know, I believe this is what Madame Web meant by, important for later..."
Bruce Banner pops his head out of the hole and sees He is alone... "Uh... Hello?"
A few snicker as Dr Banner sticks his head out of the hole like a rabbit.
A different angle sees a cape in the distance, watching Banner as He asks for clothing
"Huh? A cape?"
A few realized "Wait, that's Dr Strange's cape!" Iida is the first to bring mention to it
"You're right! It has a similar collar and everything!" Melissa confirms, having took some of her own notes on the previous hero designs for later.
"There's the cape... But where's the doc?" Setsuna says, drawing everyone's attention to the fact Strange was not wearing the cloak
"Yeah, Where is he? I think Banner broke into his house?..." Pixie-bob mumbles
"So why hasn't Dr Strange come to investigate?" All Might says, not feeling quite right in this situation
Bruce, in some robes, walks outside the Sanctum Sanctorum to see New York was deserted, not a soul in sight "Was I too late?"
Toga's eyes widened "Anyone getting apocalypse vibes?" She says, getting kinda freaked out as She started putting together the pieces
"Yeah... No Strange, No people in the open..." La Brava began to feel queasy
"Was it a rapture?" Ibarra offers her opinion
"Perhaps... We just have to wait and see... and see how Spider-Man files into this." Shinsou replies
Suddenly, a light flashes a distance away as two new forms enter the picture, two aliens.
Many eyes widened "Aliens!" A few yelled
"Maybe Banner was late?" Amajiki mumbles
Bruce, annoyed, does his best to coax the Hulk to fight, but the Hulk refuses stubbornly
"No... From the looks of it, Banner was expecting the aliens, so that was what He was trying to warn humanity from... That still leaves the question... What DID happen?" Mirio replies to his friend
"Here Me and rejoice!" Ebony Maw begins as his cohort begins to walk towards Banner who still can't summon the Hulk
"For you are about to die at the hands of-" When He said hands, a mysterious portal is created behind Maw as a gauntlet arm pokes out, blasting Maw in the head!
"Doctor Strange!" Many happily said at the reveal of the portal
"Who's glove is that?" Mei stands up, more interested at the new tech than the return of Doctor Strange
"We're probably gonna find out.." Gentle says, pouting himself a cup of tea
The portal expands as three figures are seen, Tony Stark the Iron Man, Wong the sorcerer and Doctor Strange himself, Everyone bathed in shadow.
While many were joyous at what appeared to be a rescue for Dr Banner, Aizawa noticed how strangely their silhouettes looked "Something's not right..."
Bruce , delighted to see his fellow Avenger, shouts "Tony? Boy are you guys screwed!"
"So the man in the armor suit is called Tony... "Deku writes, feeling Tony will be important later
'Like you wouldn't believe...'
Iron man flights up and blasts the area around Maw and Cull Obsidian, blinding them with dust as Strange and Wong create portals to blindside their enemies.
"Ah yeah, team work!" Uraraka fistbumps the air
"Yay!" The children cheered with her
Bruce cheers the team on at first but notices their tactics were... off to say the least "I, Uh... kinda think that's overkill?" He says as Wong and Strange tackle their opponents to ground and begin to rip them limb from limb...
"Um... Yeah... Overkill is quite the word... the hell is going on?" Ragdoll mumbles as She watches what were supposed to be the heroes... killing the bad guys...
Toga's eyes widened "I got it!"
Suddenly, Iron Man stands up and turns to Bruce... as a zombie!?
The room eyes widened as They screamed "ZOMBIES?!"
"I knew it! I freaking knew it! Take that Mom and Pop, watching Scary movies did help me out in the end, Fuck yeah!" Toga cheered
Nezu looks at Toga with interest "Miss Toga? You actually figured out what was wrong with this world before I could?"
"Sir?!" The teachers looked at the principal in shock
"What? I can admit when I am beat." Nezu says, but the others did not believe him for a second because Nezu never loses. NEVER
"Yeah, I watched a lot of horror movies a kid, liked seeing the bloody kills but I did enjoy the classics, Zombies especially when I wasn't watching horny teens murdered by masked psycho."
"How old were you when you did that?" Twice asked
Toga stuck her tongue out "Five... to about when Mom and Dad kicked me out."
"Enough with memory lane, They are still zombies to watch!" Bakugou yelled, annoyed... as He held Mahoros's hand as She nervously watched this universe. The sooner They finish this world, the better.
Then it is revealed that Strange and Wong were also zombies as Wong was seen eaten Cull Obsidian's arm!
Many of the weaken willed individuals struggled to hold their lunches in while the children cowered in fear of the zombies
Shigaraki smiled at this "Awesome, I was wondering when These universes would get good again."
Then the two aliens stand back up as They too were turned into the undead, Leaving Bruce Banner surrounded by super zombies!
"Huh?! That is way too fast to change!" Kaminari yells
"What? What do you mean?" Momo asks the lightning student
"It usually takes a few minutes for someone to change into a zombie in the movies, but they changed instantly!"
Tony prepares to blast Bruce but the cape from before is seen flying in and grabs Tony by the ankle, missing his shot and and judo-flipping the undead iron avenger away
"Man, that cape is doing work." Sero says, shocked at how much the cloak of levitation was kicking ass
Zombie Strange begins to create a portal but is halted by the cloak of levitation as it grabs his arms but this only caused Zombie Wong to create the portal to jump at Banner only yo be also grabbed by the cloak who holds Strange and Wong back
Many wince as Wong edged ever so closely to biting Bruce's face "That is way too close..." Awase mumbles, freaked out by the zombie
Not focusing on the spell, Wong's portal closes, decapitating him!
That did it as several students, giving paper bags by Madame Web, hurled up their lunches at the sight of Wong's beheading, The casualties were Uraraka, Nejire, Pony, Shouda, La Brava and Pixie-Bob.
The villains fared better but were too disturbed... unless You were Shigaraki and Toga and loving every second of carnage
Bruce, disgusted, kicks away Wong's head and tries to run as the cloak takes care of Stark and Strange, but it leaves him wide open for Maw to use his telekinesis to pull Banner to him to eat, with Bruce trying desperately to claw the ground to save himself
"What?! Alien dude has psychic powers?" Kaminari yells in shock
"This is most troublesome... Even with the cloak's aid, Dr Banner is unlikely to survive against the zombie's..." Iida says, unsure of how these events can become positive
But Bruce's efforts were in vain Maw's spell worked and Banner is presented, in a cross form to the alien zombies as Banner pleads for his life "Don't eat me! I'm vegan, don't eat me!"
"Vegan? Guh, tastes like shit..." Shigaraki mumbles
If Kurogiri had eyes to roll, he would've at that statement.
The sounds were explained as Maw's zombie flesh was completely eaten away as a swarm of bugs eat him where He stood!
Many were shocked and a few yelled in horror at the sudden arrival of the ants. Koda even hopped behind his seat
"Where the hell they came from?! I thought this was a zombie apocalypse!" Bakugou yells "Where the hell did these freaking bugs come from?!"
Banner is dropped as the swarm becomes stronger as it begins to eat Zombie Strange and Cull until They were nothing but skeletons!
"Seriously, what the hell is going on?!" Pixie-Bob yells
Zombie Stark begins fighting off the swarm by blasting with repulsers when a new challenger appeared, a fit woman in a fullbody suit, wings and a helmet.
Many were shocked to see this new fighter enter the zombie ring
"Who is that?" Nejire sqeaks as She slowly uncovered her eyes
"I don't know... Think She control's the ants?" Amajiki mumbles, quite unsure
"Perhaps... She does possess a strange abilitiy to grow, and also perhaps shrink, in size..." Momo posits, examing the woman while Deku begins a whole new profile for this new fighter
"All I know is that She is HOT!" Mineta says perversely, annoying a few
She announces her arrival by blowing the head off of Stark, which was then picked up by a giant ant and eaten whole. Bruce had the appropriate response "Oh, I'm gonna vomit, I am gonna hurl!" Bruce said, as He struggled to not throw up
"Guh... Same brucey..." Ragdoll mumbles as She too feels like She is going to barf
The woman yells "GO! You'll be safe with them!"
"With the giant ANTS?!" Bruce yells "Who ARE YOU?!"
"Yeah, tell us! I am so fricking confused!" Setsuna yells
The woman looks mournfully "All that's left..."
But before Banner could get anymore answers, a new figure swoops in and grabs Bruce. A familiar figure
Many eyes widened, but this time in happiness, it was because...
"Don't eat me, don't eat me, don't eat-" Bruce pleads but is cut off
"Hey relax!" Bruce looks up to see a very alive Peter Parker, the Spider-Man, carrying him to safety "I'm just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man!"
"Spider-Man is here!" Many of the younger students shout in relief
"So Young Mr Parker was able to survive the apocalypse? Most impressive!" Nezu applauds Peter
"Gah..." Shigaraki folded like Christmas was cancelled
winging away, Bruce had to ask "Well what the hell happened to the neighborhood?!"
"Are We finally going to get answers?" Aizawa says after so long
"I'm not sure if I am ready for the answers..." Mumbles Midnight, still unnerved after the zombie attack
"Same Milady..." Gentle spills his tea as his hand kept shaking.
The watcher answers the question for the audience "Like too many great catastrophes, this one sprang from a place of love and hope."
"Well that sounds ominous..."
It is shown of a craft flying in a strange unknown realm and crashing onto a surface "Two weeks earlier, Dr Hank Pym journeyed into the quantum realm in search of his long-lost wife."
Toru claps "Oh how romantic!"
"Toru-Baby? The zombies?" Mina says to her friend and shipping sister
"Oh... right."
Dr Pym looks out his window to see a figure who looked almost identical to the Wasp standing there, but there was something.. off about her "But in this universe, Janet Van Dyne contracted a quantum virus that corrupted her brain."
"So Hank Pym entered a world known as the quantum realm to save his wife, but in this universe She caught some sort of virus?... Is that to say in other universes, She didn't?" Deku writes in his notebook
"Perhaps..." Todoroki agrees with Deku's theory "Multiverses are a wonder..."
Hank walks to Janet, a vary smile on his face as He removes Janet's mask only to reveal a rotting face! "So when She finally reunited with her husband after 30 long years..." Janet leapt unto Hank and began to eat him "Oof... That happened."
"Wow, imaging breaking the rules of physics' to save your wife and the first thing She does is eat your face..." Shinso says dryly
'Well at least He has good intentions at the very least... I don't see the old man doing that for mother so I know Hank Pym is a better husband than Endeavor..' Dabi thought to himself
Madame Web pursed her lips as if She had sucked on a lemon 'Um... Well MCU Hank is a good person...'
Soon, Hank's craft returned from the quantum realm with Wasp and a figure known as Scott Lang, the current Ant Man, waiting. Wasp wipes off some of the fog that built up on the craft to look inside as Scott joked "Alas, Hope Van Dyne's long awaited family reunion was not to be."
"Good intentions, eh? Pfft... This proves it's a load of shit." Shigaraki says, waiting for the next kill
The craft opened, only for the zombified Hank Pym to leap out and try and bite his daughter! She survived only via shrinking in time and flying away... the same could not be said for Scott, who ganged up on by the zombies and eaten alive, leaving a bloody hand print on a clear glass window as He died.
Many cringed and winced as They all watch Scott die to Zombie Hank and Janet
"Well.. at least He went out, recreating a famous Zombie movie image..." Toga awkwardly states
A quinjet is seen flying over the golden gate bridge, completely overrunned with zombies "Within 24 hours, the entire pacific northwest was infected."
Many of the pro's and a few of the more intelligent students balked at the revelation "The ENTIRE pacific Northwest ?!"
"Dear me, last that it was checked, the total population of the pacific northwest was 13 million people." Nezu says, causing many of the students to jaws drop
"All... those... people..." Deku stutters in horror, this was not some movie... it was real...
The quinjet lands with several heroes like Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther, Black Widow and Hawkeye walking out, ready to face the threat
"Behold the Avengers: Iron Man, Captain America, Black Panther, Black Widow and Hawkeye." Web introduced.
"The Avengers?" All Might raises an eyebrow
"Oh, the avengers are a group of superheroes who unite to defeat foes a single superhero can't face alone." Madame Web mentions "Peter does join various avengers teams."
"Really? I thought He worked alone?" Mt Lady mentions
"Oh most of the time, even then, there are times He is needed to lend a hand like with invasion or violent outbreaks."
"Huh... oh well, I'm just glad there here!" Kinoko cheered
Jirou, looking at the lineup and seeing Iron Man with them, was so sure this was a good thing "Uh... Might want to cancelled the parade..."
"Ironically, it was the Avengers heroism that sealed humanity's fate."
"Huh?! Why would heroes cause the fall of humanity?" Monoma yells
"As perfectly ironic that statement is, you don't get it?" Spinner speaks after so long
"What?"
"Iron Man was a zombie remember? As well as Strange, but the difference between them and regular zombies is that They keep their abilities." He informs them all
Deku's eyes widened, It was like that one incident at that training camp with that other school once. But this time if You turn into a zombie, you stay a zombie!
Captain America began to give an order "On my mark-Ow?!" He feels a prick on his neck as He sees what looked like a... small man?!
"Pym?!" A few yelled when They could the closeup
"Ha! Didn't even see it coming!" laughs Shigaraki as another hero fell tot he zombie threat
The man was revealed to be Hank Pym, who enlarged and pounced on the Captain and began to eat him, with the other Avengers following suit as They were all overwhelmed with zombies "Because once earth's mightiest heroes joined the infected, No one else stood a chance..." Zombies then all but ruled...
If not for a lone hero "Unless, Of course, You know the rules." A small black screen with the text 'A film by Peter Parker' popped up
The effects of the downer prologue to the story were mostly evaporated when They see the Youtube-esqe amatuar title card
Toga smiles "Okay Petey, Let's see how you address this zombie problem..." If you get it right, I'll definitely add you to my list, Hehe...
A whiteboard is shown slowly writing the words 'So you wanna survive the zombie apocalypse!' being written in magnet letters, a paper craft zombie on a popsicle stick moans across the screen, being obviously revealed it was Peter because of the spider glove
A few students busted out laughing at this, after the blood and guts They had witnessed earlier, They needed this.
Being filmed on a phone camera, Peter narrates as He shows the city "New York! Home of the Mets, The Chrysler Building, those ladies from Sex and the city and now..." Peter shows his face, maskless but with his costume still on being dramatic as He mockingly yells "The zombie apocalypse!"
"Huh, so this is how this Universe Peter Parker looks like? Actually He looks quite handsome.." Momo says, causing Todoroki to throw a glance at her
'Handsome?... I, well... Huh... Is this jealousy?' He though in his head
Peter composes himself "If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere, but first, you have to not get eaten!" He happily says with a smile. A bit of a unnerving smile if you look closely
Deku readied his notes on Spider-Man's advice for surviving the zombie apocalypse
He turns the camera to a man who looks so down with life in a shirt that reads 'I'm not single, I'm saving myself for Thor' as text reveals his name to be 'Happy Hogan' and a few of his skills being driving, boxing and coffee. His title was 'Never actually happy' "Step One: Long Sleeves!"
A few of the more immature students laugh at the frowning man in the shirt that was most likely not his.
Deku writes down a profile for Happy Hogan, feeling He will be important
Happy looks at Peter "Do I really have to be wearing this?"
Peter, behind the camera, whispers "Come on, the fate of the world depends on it." He moves his camera to a nearby closed door "And Action, Zombie!"
The door is kicked open as a man with a European accent shambles in pretending to be a zombie "Here I come, Bad zombie, bleh!" His text reveal him to be named Kurt whose skills were languages, Slavic folklore and crime. His title was the resident weirdo.
"Oh my god, is He for real?" laughs Uraraka
"A skill of his is 'crime'?" Aizawa raised an eyebrow "Is He some sort of convict?"
"Well Shouta, I really don't think that matters right now.. I mean, zombie apocalypse?" Midnight shrugs, while She too was a little uncomfortable with a criminal there, She knew it wouldn't be right to throw into the jaws of the monsters outside. And She knew Parker would never leave a man behind, like the very good boy He is..
Kurt motions to Happy and grabs his arm and goes to pretend to bite him as Peter narrates "The zombie virus is passed through saliva, so the less skin you're showing, the less there is to bite.." Kurt demonstrates by opening a packet of ketchup and spraying Happy who looks even more done with life
A few laugh at the scowl on Happy's face, who is proving that name is completely ironic
"Accurate." Toga nods
Peter is next seen placing the camera on a tripod as He stands before bathtub with a shower curtain "Step two: Hygiene. Zombies are attracted to the smell of human flesh, so the less pheromones you give off, the better."
"Indeed.." She confirms as Deku writes down these notes
Kurt pops in "But just one catch!" As it became very obvious that someone was taken a shower
Peter nods "You're never more vulnerable than in your birthday suit." He opens the curtain to reveal a figure with long hair in the shower with their back turned
A few of the more perverted males in the room were at attention "Oo-"
They turn to reveal themselves as a man known as Bucky Barnes whose skills were Murder, Killer arm and heavy sleeper. His title was 'Silent but deadly'.
"Ah! Guy?!" They yell in response
"Y'know, I would be upset of their perverse actions, but I think that fright they were given at ogling a man is more than enough punishment." Momo nods as her fellow companions nod in agreement.
He quickly turns and grabs Kurt by the throat who hang up as it became very clear Bucky was naked
"And the guy in question is pretty... easy on the eyes.." Pixie-Bob says perversely as She ogles his face, pecs and cursing the multiverse for not showing anymore of his waist section
"His skill set points to him being a killer..." Mandalay reels her in
"Every girl likes a bad boy..." She pouts
Kurt, struggling, groans "Your robot arm is waterproof. How handy! Pun intended..."
"Ooo~! Nice arm, I wonder what the specs are on that thing?" Mei says, similarly perverse as the pro heroine, but only for the metal arm.
Bucky, annoyed, tells Kurt "You know all I have to do is squeeze, right?" as it was shown, Bucky was actually strangling Kurt
Peter pops in to safe Kurt "Okay, Okay! Easy killer!" Peter turn to the camera holding a can of bodyspray "How bout we skip the shower and grab the body spray."
"Ugh. You aren't in a zombie apocalypse students, do shower often..." All Might says, being reminded of his times in America where He jsut sprayed some Axe on him and got ready for the rest of his day. What a fool.
Bucky, annoyed, just tosses Kurt at the camera
Then it was shown a woman with blonde hair looking at the camera with a amused look. She was Sharon Carter with her skills being Spycraft, First aid and Eulogies. Her title was the blonde bond.
"An agent? How interesting." Nezu says, making his notes on the survivors so far and has calculated several factors of theirs that could prove useful in such an environment. Quite the ragtag group, but He suppose these events can yield the most random of conclusions
Peter pops in with a toy gun, firing the suction cup into Sharon's head "Step three: Always aim for the head, that's the only way to kill them!"
"And that's correct. Not bad, Zombie Hunter Petey." Toga giggles
her group look at her with a strange look before looking the hand wielding the toy gun "Either a zombie apocalypse or her? He's screwed."
"Will You shut that off?" An annoyed voice yells as Peter puts down the phone as it was revealed He was showing it to Dr Banner who arrived to their base
The voice belong to a African women in formal armor attire with a spear. She walks to Banner and reveals herself "General Okoye of the Dora Milaje, Wakandan royal guard."
"Wow, you just know She carries a air of power with her." Setsuna points out
"Indeed, I suppose with her status of General makes her the defacto leader?" Momo says
"Would make the most logical sense." Iida says in confirmation.
"And that makes eight.." Deku writes
"Huh? What are you doing, Deku?" Uraraka asks
"Oh, I just wrote a few profiles for the current survivors to keep track of them for now."
Toga looks over to Deku 'Let's see how many see left by the end of this world..'
Banner shakes her presented hand "You certainly picked a hell of a time for you to come to the states, General."
Okoye reveals why She was there "I swore an oath, Dr Banner. My king went missing with the Avengers weeks ago and for the first time since the beginning of the outbreak, We actually have a reason to hope."
"Her king? Who can be her king?"
"Perhaps the black panther..." Deku says, lookong over his notes.
"Who now?" Sero asks
"The Black Panther, one of the people fighting with the avengers in the prologue." He reminds
"If that is the case, her king might be dead because He got over run with all of them..." Tiger says solemnly
"That's sad..." Ragdoll pouts
"Enough, I want to hear what the general meant by good news." Aizawa says, wondering what the point of this showing was
Okoye leads the group of Peter, Bruce and Kurt throughout the hideout to reveal it was actually an assembly of subway buses hung up in a cocoon of Peter's webbing
Many were shocked at their base of operations
"How in the- how long do those webs last?!" Bakugou yells out loud
"Typically the webbing only lasts 2 hours but Peter is able to resynthesize his webbing to last longer and He would have Spider-drones on standby to reproduce strands to keep the base airborne, safe from most zombie threats." Web explained
"Drones?!" Mei yells "God, how smart can one kid from queens be..."
"Well... in this universe, he had a little help."
In a computer room, using a holographic projector of what looked Iron Man's gauntlet "Another Survivor camp claims to have progress on a cure."
Toga and a few others roll their eyes at the sound of a 'cure' "Oldest trick in the book..."
"What is wrong? If it possible to find a cure, they can have a chance to stop the plague and-"
"You obviously have not seen any movies ever, Oppai girl." Momo balked at the calling out of her breasts "But everyone in these things always claim to find a cure only to reveal it is a trap, a summon or a way to eat those people first before the zombies do."
"Well maybe there's a chance..."
"If that happens, I'll eat a shoe..."
Peter drops his strange smile and adopts a more convincing one "Wh-Awesome! Global crisis solved! High-Fives all around, guys." to a few amused smirks and eyeroll from Happy
Bucky breaks the happy time "Not quite." He points to the message in question "The beacon's location was corrupted in transit and We have no idea where it came from."
"Smells fishy..." Toga mumbles
Bruce studies the message and notices "Well, it looks to me like your message is a non-linear hexacode."
"A what?" a few of the people in the audience say in unison
(I tried looking up what the hell it was but my research yielded no answers, please tell me so I can put it in, if I could've, I would've avoided this otherwise but it's important to plot)
Using this information, the group reexamines the location and slowly figure it out "That location look familiar to you, Agent Carter?"
Sharon nods "It's Camp Lehigh in New Jersey, S.H.I.E.L.D's first base of operations... It could have the equipment you need to fabricate a cure"
"Well now They have a location at least..." Mandalay says, being the only of her group not to have their heads explode due to the lecture on what the hexacodes were
Hope decides then and there "Then We leave at sundown."
Happy sighs "And when you thought it couldn't get any worse... We gotta go to Jersey."
"Oh please, like New Jersey is that bad..."
The americans in the room held their tongues.
Later, the group is seen driving a van as Happy drives, looking most unhappy "Zombie fricking apocalypse and somehow, I'm still driving."
Okoye throws a glance "What is the problem? I thought you were an Uber-Driver?"
Happy clarifies "No-No, Personal Chauffeur. There's a difference."
"Is there?"
"Yes, I don't know about any Uber drivers, but a personal chauffeur will come once you call them at anytime and paid quite respectably." Momo explains
"Is this position hiring?" Uraraka asks even though She didn't have a license.
Suddenly a giant zombie appears in front of the van!
"What the fuck?!"
Happy screams and presses a button, suddenly it revealed the zombie wasn't big, They were just tiny! Or at least were as Happy grows the Van to normal, causing the zombie to explode with dried up blood and guts as the group made it to their location: Grand Central Station
"That... makes... sense..." Melissa breathes heavily "Being tiny in this world would provide an adequate amount of anonymity..."
"I... hate... this world..." breathed La Brava who looked she was on the verge of a heart attack.
The group enters the station to find it deserted as Okoye takes point and addresses the group "Hope, Banner, Parker, track seven. See if you can hotwire that train."
Kurt perks up "Sounds like job for criminal! I will help." He volunteers to aid in getting the train ready
"Hmm? Looks like we will get to see Kurt's skills in action." Gentle says, wondering what the criminal of the group could bring to the table
Peter looked unsure "Uh... Splitting up? You guys just don't have horror movies in Wakanda?"
Okoye replies back "We don't need them, We have American reality shows."
"That... is remarkably true..." Melissa sighs, remembering the last time She decided to look at what was on MTV. Spoiler: Nothing good.
Kurt pops in "Oh, Pop goes the dynamite, that is solid burn on all of us."
Peter, still not comfortable with this plan, concedes and goes to work on the train
"And Petey knows splitting up in horror movies is a terrible idea..." Toga sighs at the idiocy on display
"But why is that an issue? Splitting up allows for greater productivity and less time wasted on any given task." Momo says
Toga looks at the girl like She was an idiot "You never watched a horror movie before, haven't you?"
"W-Well... I can't say I have..."
"Well, Princess, lemme tell you why splitting up in horror movie is a bad idea." Teacher Toga begins "If you split up in a horror movie, it's just an excuse to start wittling down your group of survivors in record time! It's a trope to call out splitting up in horror movies!"
"Those are stupid movies, this is real life." Aizawa deadpans
"Mark my freaking words! Somebody is dying!"
Deku overhears the conversation and thinks, in most situations, splitting up would be the best idea... but then again, this was a horror setting. And He remembers his own experience with the zombie quirk and how fast his allies were soon corrupted by the opponent from the other school
He writes 'Figure out if you are in a horror setting or not, splitting up will not be an option until then.'
Okoye then says "The rest of us will stay here and guard the perimeter."
Happy nods, smiling for once and locking his arms as if it were a gun... Which for once was true.
Inside the train, Kurt under the controls is having no luck "No juice, We're getting no juice." He tries connecting wires but getting no results "Train, please be working for Daddy."
"Seriously? Then why are you there, you useless fool!" Shigaraki complains
"The train might be depowered due to the two-week breaks as they do require a lot of maintenance, so that might what is the problem." David points out
He gives up "Guh! It's not working!"
Banner, at the controls, tells Hope "And We're locked out of the gearbox."
She nods "On it!" She shrinks and flies in through a small vent to the box "I can jumpstart the engine from the inside."
"That could work, the only downside would be that when the train stops, it would be dead in the water and so They would have to hope to be close to this Camp Lehigh." Melissa says
"I don't think They have any other choice but to place their bets on that." All Might said uneasily to the current plan
Back with the others, Okoye and Bucky do not notice a shadow peering in from the window at them before scurrying off
Many eyes widen at the shadow
"They're here..."
Back at the train, Hope uses her blasters to light up the spark but is getting nowhere fast "Spark ignition's not firing, We need someone to give us a push."
"They are out of time.." Endeavor finally says after a while
"Hold on there, They might think a somthing I know it!... I hope." Ragdoll says
Outside the box, Kurt and Banner sit amongst themselves as Kurt excitedly asks Banner if He can do it. "Perhaps you can summon your inner green demon!"
Bruce denies it "No, He's on sabbatical." He turns to the gearbox with Hope inside "Any other ideas?"
"Not unless one of you has a giant slingshot?"
Many laughed
"Well if you had to ask-"
Peter pops in through the window, spooking the hell out of Banner and Kurt "I've got a slingshot!"
"Ah!" Screamed a few students who were jumpscared
"Jesus Parker, You scared the daylights out of us..." breathed Sen
He jumps away from the window travels to the front of the train "Make sure the brake lock is engaged!"
Banner locks the train in place and Peter fires his webs and begins to pull on the train to create the force needed to make this work
"Well, at leasr They now have a way to escape... Now all there is left to see is if Mr Parker can create enough force with his webbing to jumpstart the train." David says
With Happy and Sharon, Happy is attacked by a swarm of birds and He begins to open fire with mini Iron Man hand-blaster all the while saying "Blam! Blam!"
A few of the younger children laughed as Happy said blam over and over again while a few of the adults, I.E. Aizawa, were absolutely annoyed
He even says "You're giving yourself away..."
Sharon, with a smile, calls out Happy "Were You saying.. 'Blam'?"
Happy felt a little embarrassed "Was I?"
"Caught in 4K!" Kaminari shouts before getting punched in the shoulder by Jirou
Then, out of nowhere, A grapping hook comes out of nowhere and stabs into Happy's shoulder!
This caused them all to jump again "What the hell?!"
"It can't be one of those zombies right?! They can't be that smart, can they?!" Mt Lady asks her colleagues in a panic
"These marvel zombies are different than the zombie media we have absorbed over the years, They are a whole new breed of terror..." David Shield gasps
He had the appropriate response "Oww..." Before He was dragged into the darkness, firing into the void, screaming "Blam! Blam!"
"He died as He lived... annoying as hell." Shigaraki mocked
"Ah, I think that's being a little mean, Shigi, You just met the guy." Toga defends Happy
"He's on the hero side, He deserves only death." He pouts like a child
Sharon, alarmed, radios in to her team "Man down! Man down! We lost Happy!"
Everyone looks shocked, but none more than Peter who looked heartbroken "Not Happy..." He grits his teeth and begins to pull harder with rage!
"Huh? Is Happy important to the Peter of this universe?" Uraraka asks
"Looks like it. Ribbit." Tsu says "Don't know how..."
"Something to keep in mind..." Deku says, writing down Happy's fate in his notes with a mention on Peter's page. 'Shown distress at the knowledge of Happy Hogan's death- Possible connection?'
Sharon inspects the darkness with her gun "I think it was-AH!" She was shot in the shoulder with an arrow that pins her to a wall!
She groans as She sees a zombie with a bow and arrow shambling to her "It's Hawkeye..."
"Hawkeye?" Said Mahoro
"One of the avengers from the prologue." Bakugou says "I saw one of those guys walk out with a bow and arrow... But why the hell would He do that instead of a gun or his power."
"Clint Barton, or Hawkeye, does not actually possess a power of his own." Madame Web describes "You could say He is a quirkless pro."
"Quirk... less?..." A few in the crowd mumble in shock. While They try to thin about such a concept, Tomura Shigaraki grumbled to himself
"I don't know's more unbelievable A teenage punky pro or a quirkless one... Either way I would crush them..." Shigaraki grumbles
With Bucky and Okoye, A window breaks open and a flying man invades their space!
"Oh no! They're under attack!" Mineta yells
With Sharon, She tries to remove the arrow as from the darkness, Happy also leaves the shadows as a zombie, still stating "Blam... Blam!"
"Happy!..." Eri says sadly, not liking Peter's friends dead.
"That's... disturbing..." Honenuki mumbles
With Bucky and Okoye, Falcon goes to try and attack Okoye but using her superior skills, She was able to leap out of danger and land on the former avengers back as Bucky aims his gun but hesitates to not shoot Okoye
"Damn.. This is bad..." Kirshima says, feeling the heroes were at such a disadvantage
With Sharon, She tries to also reach her gun but is alarmed as Zombie Happy fires his blasts at her, unfocused as He was dead, but still dangerous
"It would appear motor functions aren't completely their post resurrections.. still, these zombies are scary as all get out..."
Back with Okoye and Bucky, She leaps off Falcon's back and lands with a pose
Back with Peter, He continues to pull on the train with all his might
"Hurry Spider-Man, Your allies don't have much time.." All Might pleads..
Back with Bucky, without worry of hurting Okoye, The winter soldier opens fire to his former ally who seemingly tanks the shots!
"Didn't Peter say shoot the head?! Why isn't He going for the head!"
"The flying guy is moving too fast for Bucky to hit, it looks as if the zombie's can strategize..." Mandalay says, seeing the zombie form plans to better capture humans, like how zombie Strange and Iron Man used portals to sneak on Ebony Maw to eat him.
"That... sounds horrifying." Sero shivers in fear, remembering the one time He and a few other classmates were turned into temporary zombies due to that one guy's quirk... so let him ask, how is that guy gonna actually work in the hero field with that quirk!?
With Sharon, She tries again to reach her gun but is destroyed by Happy's blasts as He gets closer!
"He's getting closer!..." Eri whimpers as Happy slowly makes his way to Sharon. She didn't want to see anymore deaths... Poor child.
With Bucky, He continues to fire at Falcon who goes in for a tackle but uses his wings to block the shots for his head as He swoops in and kicks Bucky to the ground!
"Seems your theory is correct, Mandalay..." Frowns All Might as the winter soldier is knocked to the ground
"I really wish I wasn't..."
With Sharon, Happy gets right up to her when She gets an idea "Sorry Happy.." She says mournfully as She grabs his Iron Man hand and blasts his head to bits! "Blam.." She says in tribute
"Stop saying blam, god damn it!" Shouts Shigaraki
"Killjoy." Gentle responds
She just misses getting sniped by Hawkeye as the station becomes overwhelmed in zombies!
Sharon removes the arrow with a sickinging sounds as She screams
"Run! RUN!" Uraraka shouts
Back with Bucky, He was at Falcon's mercy as the former Avenger pounces on him, ready to eat him when-
*SNNKT!*
Okoye swoops in and slices Falcon in half from the middle!
Those who managed to hold onto their lunches so far had finally lost the game as They proceeded to vomit at the sight of Falcon getting sliced in half
The last one standing was Toga who smiled "Awesome..."
Okoye looks at Bucky with a 'sorry' expression "That was your friend... Sorry about that."
Bucky, still on the floor, just says "I should be sad.. But I'm not."
"Huh? Do you believe They had some personal issues They weren't able to work out before his time of death?" Shishida asked out loud
"Maybe... Guess We gotta remember flying guy then." mei shrugs, more interested in flying guy's tech than anything else.
Okoye quickly moves on "Let's go!" as both move to get to the train as more zombies start to enter
Hawkeye lines up another shot as Sharon takes the gauntlet off of Happy's corpse and equips herself with it.
"Ooo~! I like that glove! It's so cute, that little baby!" Mei smiles, still having a bit of vomit on her lips
"Who cares! Get the hell out of there!" Bakugou yells
She dodges the exploding and too makes her way to the train
Back with Peter, He is beginning to feel the strain of his webs as They reach their limit "Okay, come om guys! I think I have 4000 pounds if thrust here!"
"Good, that is ideal to make it to New Jersey." Nezu says
"I hope so... or else They are doomed." Endeavor sees something just off frame, what was it?
Banner, on the train, tells Peter to stay in place as the others were still not there before his eyes widen in fear
They looked alarmed, what did Bruce and Kurt see?...
That's when They realized-
Peter stays in place "Okay, get ready to disengage on my mark."
Banner yells "Peter!"
"What?!" Peter shouts back.. before seeing a zombie was right behind him! "AH!" He yells in fear
"Peter?!" The students yelled
"He's surrounded!" Mahoro yells
"No, no no!" Eri cries, not wanting her third-tied favorite hero to die. Deku and lemillion were the other two if you were asking.
"Fucking finally!" Smiled Shigaraki
Suddenly, the cloak of levitation swoops in an saves Peter! Battling several zombies away from our friendly neighborhood hero!
"God damn it!" He yells in frustration
"Yes!" The students shouted joyfully
"Keep fighting cloak... wow that is a weird sentence." Aoyama says
Banner gives props to the cloak as the windows to the cockpit are shattered and Kurt is being pulled out by a zombie!
"Bad zombie! Bad zombie!" Yells Mineta
Banner does his best to save Kurt from being taken when Wasp exits the gearbox and punches the zombie in the face!
"Show those undead who's boss Wasp!" Setsuna smiles
She shrinks and leaps out of the window and begins to engage in combat with the undead horde
Kurt says what everyone was thinking as Wasp kicked ass "You are a remarkable woman!"
"Ah yeah..." A few of the more perverted individuals say not very discreetly.. earning a lot of stinkeyes from the girl's.
Wasp blasts more zombies away as She radios the others to hurry up and They reply that They were almost there
At the landing bay, Bucky, Okoye and Sharon are separated into different cars as They board the train, fighting off the horde
"Uh oh..." Toga says as everyone is relieved the surviving team members got into the train, spoiling a few moods
"What's the problem, They all got into the train?" La Brava asked
"They are all in different cars!"
"And?"
"Do you honestly thing there aren't zombies that could've got on the train when They weren't looking?"
Okoye gives the all clear "We are all here! Go!"
Kurt disengages the breaklock and the train is sent shooting out with great speed as the engines finally come to life!
"Good, at least they are all out of there..." Deku nods
Shigaraki was going to frown until He remembered a certain detail "Isn't Parker still on the track?"
The smiles that appeared instantly disappeared seeing how fast the train was going
Peter is knocked off his feet as the break is dislodged as the zombies now surround him again, where He sees the oncoming train coming right for them.
"Oh no!" Mina yells
"Get out of there!" Sen yells
"Move... He has to..."
"RUN SPIDER-GUY!" Nejire cuts off Tamaki
Peter, looks horrified for a moment before He closes his eyes and braces for impact
"He's not moving! Why isn't He moving" Mt Lady yells
"He was too preoccupied with getting the train to move and not how He'll get in, the zombies then hampered any sort of planning He could've on surviving. He is out of options." Endeavor says pessimistically
"That is such an oversight." Aizawa drawls
Was it? Deku thinks, seeing Peter Parker in this world. With the notes he had compiled, He honestly didn't think Peter would've lasted this long in this world without getting bit with his tenacity for helping others. He could've gotten bitten trying to help others... So Why hasn't He? When He looks at this Peter Parker, He noticed a few forlorn looks. He saw something that He couldn't place a finger on...
Then, The cloak of levitation and collects Peter away from the zombies and the two of them fly directly into the windshield of the train, past Banner and Kurt as the train runs all over the zombie horde!
"He's okay!" Eri smiles with the other children cheering up as well
"Lucky the cloak was there..." Iida mentions
"The cloak be doing most of the work now that I think about it..." Mineta posits
Banner smiles as They finally escape that nightmare "We did it. Destination, Camp Lehigh." as the train moves onward to New Jersey
Peter, with the cloak of Levitation draped on his shoulders, rejoins Hope and Okoye in their car
"Whoa..." A few of the people mention at the sight of Peter in a cape.
"Wow!" Smiles Eri, Katsuma, Deku and Mirio. While They liked his regular costume plenty, this cape combo just made him look so cool!
All Might chuckles "No offense to Doctor Strange, but the cloak does fit Young Parker well."
"Quite dashing isn't he?" Smiles Midnight
"A bit big, don't you think?" Tiger says
"He'll grow into it... Oh He would." Pixie-Bib giggles
Hope smiles at Peter in his cape "It's a good look on you."
"She approves.." Mina says, while She is still team MJ forever, if She doesn't pop up, She actually wouldn't mind Peter and Hope...
Peter, unsure, shyly asks the mature woman "You really think I can pull this off?"
"He's so shy!" Uraraka yells
"Certainly adds to the image..." Momo says
Deku and Todoroki blinked 'Shy huh... Deku then writes 'Girls like a sprinkle of meekness at certain times.'
Jokingly, Hope pats Peter on the back "Maybe You'll grow into it."
This was enough to Peter smile as Okoye walks to the two and depressingly states "I'm sorry... We should've stayed together."
Peter, quickly, comes in and lifts her chin "None of that, You did what you thought was right, and you were awesome!"
Okoye smiles at the young man
A few smiles appeared on the faces of the people there at Peter's kindness and can do attittude.
With Sharon, She was in the farthest most car from the group as She looked at her surroundings as They speed by
"Okay Sharon, had your fun? Good get to the others..." Toga says, while She enjoys blood and guts, She too gets annoyed at some of the dumb choices made by characters at times to allow deaths to happen.
She makes her leave to rejoin the others when She hears something...
It was... On the roof?
"I knew it!" She yells
"We fucking get it!" Shigaraki yells annoyed, wanting to see this zombie kill the survivors already, especially Spider-Man..
It was traveling down car for a moment as Sharon readies her blaster when the roof collapses as They enter a dark tunnel!
Sharon's eyes widened as She saw a zombie had entered the train... and it wasn't your average zombie either as She opens fire on the undead fiend
Bucky, inspecting the cars, hears Sharon's screams "Sharon?.. Sharon!" He runs to her car to see a zombie was feasting on her flesh.
"Down another survivor..." Aizawa says, feeling this journey becoming more and more dangerous.
Bucky looked horrified for a moment before steeling his resolve "I think that's enough, Captain." He spits out
The zombie stands up to reveal itself to be the reanimated corpse of Steve Rogers, Captain America!
"Whoa! It's that one guy Pym bit in San Francisco!"
"Seriously, how can They get from one point in the country to the next so fast? It's only been two weeks!"
"Marvel Zombies..."
