Lumina pushed herself up from the tangled sheets, every muscle in her body protesting with a deep, satisfying ache. The first round had left her boneless, skin still flushed and tingling, but the soreness between her thighs and the faint bruises blooming on her hips reminded her exactly how thoroughly Ashen had claimed her. She reached for the quilt, wrapping it around her naked form like armor, though the fabric did little to hide the marks his mouth and hands had left across her breasts and throat.
"I need to have my bath," she said, voice still husky from moaning his name. She took one step toward the small adjoining bathing room.
"I have left the realm for many hours now and Stella will be…" Her words died as strong arms banded around her waist from behind, pulling her back against a hard, warm chest.
