The next morning started slowly. People woke up gradually and Sara made breakfast while others got ready for the day at their own pace. There was no rush or agenda since they had plenty of time to complete their objectives.
"I'm going to check out one of the documentation sites," Lyanna announced after breakfast. "Anyone want to come?"
"I'll go," Sara said. "Could be interesting."
Marcus decided to join them for security reasons, and the three headed out with mapping supplies. That left William, Seraphina, and Claire at the camp.
Seraphina went back to her training spot and resumed practicing forms. Claire remained by the fire reading a book she'd brought. William found his tree again and continued cultivation practice.
The day passed quietly. The mapping group returned around noon with samples and notes, looking satisfied with their progress. They ate lunch and then Sara suggested swimming in the stream since the afternoon was hot.
