Chapter 24 - chapter 22intercept the yacht

The roaring engine of the Pagani Huayra left the city's hustle behind, coming to a halt at a secluded private port. As Dimitri hit the brakes, the gull-wing doors swung upward like the wings of a bird. When Sofia opened her eyes, her amazement knew no bounds.

Before her lay the vast, dark expanse of the sea, and upon its waves floated a magnificent and incredibly expensive super-yacht. Golden lights shimmered along its hull, reflecting off the black water to create a magical atmosphere. This was no ordinary vessel; it was Dimitri's floating fortress.

Dimitri stepped out and once again took Sofia carefully into his arms. Her saree's veil fluttered in the night breeze, and the diamond in her navel sparkled under the yacht's lights like a star.

As they stepped onto the deck, Dimitri whispered into Sofia's ear:

"This ship is named 'The Phoenix,' Sofia. Just like the bird of fire on your back. From this day on, the vastness of this sea and this ship—all of it belongs to you. Here, not even the shadow of your foul-mouthed Commander or any agency can reach you."

Sofia was stunned by the luxury. Everywhere she looked, there was white marble, expensive champagne, and the finest comforts the world had to offer. Dimitri took her directly to the master bedroom, which was enclosed by glass walls offering a panoramic view of the ocean.

"You are completely isolating me from the world, aren't you, Dimitri?" Sofia murmured.

Setting her down on a plush bed, Dimitri lifted her chin. His eyes were calm yet profound. He said:

"Not isolating you, Sofia—I am setting you free. You are now far away from the world that insults you, the world that only knows how to use you. On this ship, there is only you, me, and our unfinished story."

At that moment, the engines hummed to life. Breaking its ties to the shore, 'The Phoenix' began its journey into the deep sea.

In the Control Room:

The Young DGFI Agent watched helplessly as a small dot on his radar vanished into the deep ocean. He looked at the Commander one last time, whose face had turned blue with humiliation and rage.

"He's taken her onto the ship..." the agent whispered. "She's in the middle of the ocean now. No satellite can find her anymore. Dimitri has won."

The Royal Reception:

As they entered the interior of the yacht, Sofia witnessed an unbelievable sight. Dimitri's bodyguards were usually as cold and hard as stone. But today, they stood in two perfect rows. As Dimitri walked onto the deck carrying Sofia, these towering Russian and international guards bowed their heads in unison.

They showed her Respect as if she were not a prisoner, but the future queen of this empire. Dimitri set her down. A senior bodyguard stepped forward, bowed his head, and said in broken Bengali:

"Welcome, Madam. This ship is now yours."

Sofia looked at Dimitri in shock. She never imagined these foreign guards would show such reverence to a Bangladeshi girl. Dimitri placed his hand on her waist and looked at his men with pride.

"Look at her. This is the Phoenix I told you about. From today, her command is my command. If a single scratch touches her, none of you will survive."

Sofia realized that Dimitri hadn't just captured her; he had elevated her to a throne in front of his entire army. Seeing the bodyguards' profound respect, a strange sensation washed over Sofia. On one hand, her own country's control room was hurling insults at her; on the other, these dangerous men of the underworld were treating her like a goddess on foreign soil.

Dimitri whispered in her ear:

"See, Sofia? Even my men know how to respect you. What your Bangladeshi headquarters couldn't do, my guards have done. Now tell me, do you still feel like a prisoner?"

Sofia said nothing, but a new light flickered in her eyes. She realized Dimitri was pulling her toward him, not just physically, but mentally, using the irresistible lure of royal respect. The next morning. "The Phoenix" was floating on the calm waters in the middle of the ocean. The soft dawn light filtered through the glass walls, illuminating the master bedroom. Sofia had abandoned her familiar saree and the heavy attire of the previous night, revealing herself in an entirely different form.

She was wearing a white bikini. In this pristine outfit, she looked so enchanting and mesmerizing that she seemed like a sea nymph emerging from the ocean depths. The white fabric blended with her skin tone, radiating an ethereal glow. Through the minimalist design, the crimson Phoenix on her back was now clearly visible, adding a touch of wild elegance to her beauty.

Sofia had carefully tied her thick black hair into a neat bun on top of her head. The Alta patterns on her neck were now fully exposed, and the diamond in her navel sparkled brilliantly in the morning sun. Standing by the ship's railing, she stared toward the horizon. The salty sea breeze brushed against her body as she remained lost in deep thought.

Just then, the sound of footsteps echoed from behind. Dimitri entered the room. He was wearing only a thin white shirt, left unbuttoned. Seeing Sofia in this state, he froze at the doorway. Even a man with a heart of stone like Dimitri seemed stunned today.

He walked slowly to stand behind her. Catching her reflection in the crystal-clear glass wall, Dimitri said with genuine fascination:

"The morning looks so much more beautiful today, Sofia. The white gives you an air of purity, but that Phoenix says you are still dangerous. I knew that if I could dress you my way, all the art in the world would pale in comparison."

Sofia didn't look back. She said in a calm voice, "White is a symbol of peace, Dimitri. But will you ever truly let peace enter my life?"

Dimitri placed a hand on her bun and brought his face close to her neck. He whispered in a low tone:

"Peace is in your hands, Sofia. Surrender yourself to me, just like this white attire. Look, the entire blue ocean is before us. Here, there is no one to insult you, no one to use you. From today, you are simply my 'Masterpiece'."

Meanwhile, in the Control Room:

After completely losing the radar signal, the Young DGFI Agent was devastated. He hadn't slept all night. Staring out the window, he whispered to himself:

"Morning has come. Sofia is perhaps in another world now. We couldn't save her—but did she really want to be saved? Or has she lost herself in Dimitri's intoxication?"Standing amidst the blue waters of the ocean in her white bikini, Sofia looked like a living statue. After hearing Dimitri's whispers, she slowly turned toward him. Her eyes no longer held hatred; instead, a strange, tender affection seemed to play within them.

Sofia gently took Dimitri's hands in hers. Dimitri was slightly taken its surprise, as he hadn't expected such softness from her. Rising slightly on her tiptoes, Sofia leaned in and placed a soft kiss on Dimitri's forehead. For a moment, even a terrifying mafia don like Dimitri froze, a sinister yet peaceful glow appearing in his eyes.

After the kiss, Sofia reached out and fixed Dimitri's messy hair. While adjusting the collar of his white shirt, she said in a very low voice:

"You've already turned me into a masterpiece, Dimitri. But shouldn't the artist take a photo with his creation?"

Dimitri laughed—this time, there was no conspiracy in his smile, only the joy of a proud lover. He pulled an expensive iPhone from his pocket. Positioning the phone against the backdrop of the exquisite blue horizon and the golden glow of the sun, he held it high.

Sofia surrendered herself to the embrace of Dimitri's arm. Dimitri rested his chin on top of Sofia's head. Click! They took a stunning selfie. The photo showed Sofia in her white bikini and Dimitri in his white shirt—a reflection of a toxic yet impossibly beautiful couple.

Looking at the photo on the screen, Sofia said, "If the people in the control room saw this, they'd probably go crazy, wouldn't they?"

Dimitri saved the photo and gently touched the diamond at Sofia's waist, saying:

"They don't deserve to see this, Sofia. This photo is only for me. Let the world think you are missing, but I know you are right at the center of my heartbeat."

Meanwhile, in the Control Room:

Suddenly, a notification popped up on the Young DGFI Agent's phone. Dimitri had intentionally dropped the jammer for a few seconds to send an encrypted image. As the intimate selfie of Dimitri and Sofia appeared on the screen, the agent dropped his phone in shock.

"It's impossible..." he whispered. "Sofia is kissing him? Has she really fallen for Dimitri? Or is this the start of a massive play?"

Upon seeing the photo, the Commander lost all self-control and smashed the monitor in front of him with a heavy punch.Sofia's eyes, once filled with tenderness, suddenly turned into a gaze of cold, hard steel. She took the phone from Dimitri's hand and dialed the secure line to the control room directly. As soon as the call connected, the Commander's screams could be heard, but Sofia didn't give him a single second to speak.

In a steady, emotionless voice, she spoke directly:

"Listen carefully: give up on me. I am staying exactly where I am. I have no desire to return to your world of filthy politics and insults. You cannot even imagine what Dimitri has given me. Sofia is dead to you. So, stop looking for me."

With that, she ended the call. Dimitri stood beside her, watching with a triumphant smile. Sofia handed the phone back to him and rested her head on his chest. The massive waves of the ocean seemed to roar in approval of Sofia's declaration of her new life.

Despair in the Control Room

A pin-drop silence fell over the room after Sofia's words. The Young DGFI Agent froze like a statue. The receiver slipped from the Commander's hand and crashed onto the floor.

"She refused... she flat out refused," the agent whispered. "Sofia is no longer ours. She is Dimitri's queen now."

The Commander ground his teeth in fury. "She has committed treason. From this moment on, Sofia will be treated as an enemy of the state."

The Flight of the Phoenix

Hearing Sofia's unexpected call and her total surrender, the madness inside Dimitri intensified a hundredfold. He realized that Sofia hadn't just given him her body; she had laid her entire existence at his feet.

Without wasting a second, Dimitri swept Sofia into his powerful arms once again. He carried her to the very edge of the ship's railing. The blue waters were turbulent, and the wind was howling with immense force.

Under the violent gusts, the bun in Sofia's hair suddenly snapped open. Her long, silken black hair cascaded over her back in a single moment. The wind caught the strands, and her hair began to fly wildly, like an omen of a magical storm brewing over the sea. Dimitri held her high, looking out toward the infinite blue horizon.

Dimitri's deep voice roared over the wind:

"Do you hear that, Sofia? The whistling of this wind is the final goodbye to your old life. Your flying hair and that diamond in your navel—all of it is now witnessed by this ocean. I will take you to such heights that the entire world will seem like it's beneath your feet."

Sofia wrapped her arms around Dimitri's neck and hid her face against his chest. Her long hair lashed against Dimitri's face and shoulders in the wind. She felt his heartbeat—it was racing faster than ever before. He carried her to the very bow of the ship, where the wind was strongest.

"The wind is so strong, Dimitri," Sofia whispered. "Will I fall?"

Dimitri pulled her even tighter against him, his eyes filled with a manic, obsessive love.

"Don't fear the fall, Sofia. If you fall, I will dive into this ocean after you. Whatever Dimitri claims as his own, he brings back—even from the gates of death."

The Final Satellite View

The satellite imagery showed a lone figure standing on the deck of a massive yacht in the middle of the ocean, holding a girl in his arms whose long hair was billowing like a flag in the wind.

The Young DGFI Agent zoomed in on the monitor and sighed deeply. He knew Sofia was no longer within their reach. She was free—or perhaps, she was a prisoner in the most beautiful golden cage ever built.

"Look at her..." he muttered. "She looks like the Queen of the Sea today. All our plans, our missions... they all turned to dust in that wind."
