'Play it cool Ralph, he did nothing wrong. It was just an unknown mistake, besides you can still meet the person again, it's not like you're leaving yet.' He heaved softly, easing away the tension in his bones.
Then he raised his head at the man with a smile on his face. "Good morning, sir. Sorry for the inconvenience last night, I'm new to this place."
The man smiled brightly, scratching the back of his head with his right hand. "I should have guessed, so it makes more sense why you took the risk of dropping off the pup before coming back here." He reminded.
Ralph had briefly forgotten about the pup. His attention had shifted between so many things as soon as he woke up, though the feeling of him forgetting something never left his mind.
'No wonder I didn't feel any drooling on me this morning. That's where the feeling went. I'm surprised I'm not tired today, I wonder why.'
