Roy's turn came around, and he walked onto the stage to choose his Pokémon. When the options first popped up, Roy had already decided what Pokémon he wanted.
'The options are pretty good, but my favorite Pokémon is Alakazam. Until today, even with all the new Pokémon, it still remains my favorite.' Roy reached out and took the Pokémon Abra without much thought.
"Oh, bro, you chose the sleeping cat-looking Pokémon? It doesn't have any moves besides Teleport, right?" Lucian frowned. Wasn't this Pokémon useless until it evolved into a Kadabra?
Roy could sense and see that his siblings felt some kind of way about his decision.
"Trust me, this guy's worth the time. Once he evolves, all the hard work will have paid off in the end." Roy rubbed his chin with a smile and said thoughtfully.
"Okay, I hope it will work out for you; it's your decision, and we have no choice but to have faith in you."
Luna said. She knew her brother wouldn't pick a Pokémon unless it was really good. Indeed, Abra into Kadabra was good, and she knew this. However, getting it to that level would surely be a pain in the rear.
Troy agreed as well. He knew that Psychic Pokémon were extremely powerful in Kanto. His sister, Roy, and he had chosen future Psychic Pokémon. Though he questioned Lucian's decision to pick a Magby, rather than Cubone.
Speaking of which, Lucian's friend Taric was next and had chosen a Cubone. After him was Luna's Friend, Freya, who was a Tomboy and was fairly tall for a girl her age. She had chosen the Mankey with the swiftness before leaving the stage.
The rest were people they didn't know.
"You guys should bring out your Pokémon to get to know them a bit better." After everyone had chosen, the Mayor turned to the teens.
Everyone quickly summoned their Pokémon, and Roy's siblings were no different. Roy summoned his Abra as well. Abra was sitting, its head tilted downward, eyes closed, as one would expect.

'Damn, this guy really does only have one move. There wasn't even a TM that could have been given?' Roy shrugged.
Abra was actually hard to catch because it could detect People and Pokémon from afar and teleport away.
"Hello, Abra. I'm your new trainer. We'll go on many adventures together." Roy reached out for Abra's hand and rubbed it. Surprisingly, Abra was furry and soft, but this was also when he heard a child's voice in his head.
'Yes, master, we can go on many adventures together.' Abra lifted its head and actually opened its eyes slightly before closing them again.
Roy's eyes widened with surprise; he expected this from what he had read in books. However, reading it in a book and actually experiencing it was much different.
'Perfect! I take it that you accept me as your trainer?'
'Yes. I-I'm just t-tired...' Abra's voice faded.
Roy wasn't surprised; Abra required a lot of sleep and nutritious food. This would help it evolve faster; it didn't need combat experience to level this early.
'Just rest, buddy. I'll give you some good food later.' Roy recalled Abra soon after, completely satisfied.
Roy gazed over at his siblings and found that they were already getting along with their Pokémon.
"Staryu is so cute; look at the beautiful gem in the center of it! Not just that, it's a star Pokémon; how amazing is this?" Luna was carrying Staryu and was practically dancing with it in her arms.
"Exeggcute, my little guy. We will rise together and become champions of this region!" Troy was squatting down and greeted all of the little eggs.
"Exeggcute!" All of the Exeggcute seem to be cheering and moving in a celebratory way.
"Magby, things may be hard in the beginning, but I believe we can conquer any gym. What do you say, buddy?"
"Be, Be, Magby!" Magby already liked Lucian the minute it saw him. So it couldn't agree with him anymore in its excitement.
Roy inspected the three Pokémon.
______
______
______
_______
'Fighting Brock shouldn't be much of a challenge for Troy and Luna. Lucian, on the other hand, is going to be put through the wringer.'
Unless Roy gave him Hidden Power Grass, Magby wouldn't have a chance. Or Lucian could simply catch a Bellsprout, which wouldn't be hard with a Magby.
'No matter, I already have something in place for all of them. The Auction Pokémon: I plan to give him a Squirtle, which should help him greatly.'
Afterward, Roy and everyone else chose a different Pokéball. Troy, however, kept the regular Pokéball for his Exeggcute. Both Luna and Lucian chose a Premier Ball for their Pokémon, and Roy chose a Luxury Ball.
"Luna! That's a good choice. I'm glad you were invited to get a Pokémon. How about you, Laura, and I leave on our journey tomorrow?"
Freya came over and wrapped her arm across Luna back and placed her hand pm her around shoulder and asked. Her voice carried, and she didn't care who heard it, or who thought she was too loud.
"I have to prepare some things before leaving, so I can't leave tomorrow, but I can leave after tomorrow." That was too soon for her; she wanted to bond with Staryu a bit more. After all, this was her first Pokemon, so she was a noob when it came to these things.
"Okay, we can delay a day; this is fine." Freya was a redhead; she had a bit of freckles across her cheeks and nose. She had a very fair complexion, and for a 16-year-old, she was quite built in many different ways. (I won't describe it; this is a sixteen-year-old, but you probably get it.)
"Oh, Roy, what Pokémon did you choose? The sleeping cat, right? What was it? An Abra?" Freya came over quickly and did the same thing she did to Luna, but she pulled him closer.
She was wearing a casual jogging suit that was reddish-orange. A fragrance entered his nose; it smelled like some type of perfume.
Roy wasn't oblivious; this Freya has always been dropping hints about how she felt about him. However, she was sixteen, and his mind was behind this ages. Not just that, Roy didn't have time to think about such things, and they were underage, technically.
"Freya, what are you doing?" Roy smirked before turning his head and snuggling in a series of head movements against her armpits.
"Ahhh~!" Freya quickly backed off.
"Roy, you play too much!" Freya smiled and glared at Roy playfully.
"I saw an opening, and I attacked. You chose Mankey, a Fighting-type, so you'd better not leave yourself so open."
"You! Come here!" Freya reached out to grab Roy again, but he quickly dodged. Normally, she would have caught him with this gesture, but not this time.
Freya's father and mother were martial artists and even participated in matches within the Saffron City dojo.
"What?" Freya was surprised and tried grappling Roy again, but he dodged around with swift movements.
'Impossible! Why can't I catch him?' She had always caught him before and grappled him, something she loved doing.
"Hoho, you gotta be faster than that." This was also Roy acting in revenge; she always grappled him, or put him in head and master locks and made him say things in order for her to release him.
Some really shameless things!
"Damn it! I don't believe I can't catch you." Just before she could use her signature grappling move, she was interrupted.
"Hey, hey! No horseplay in the Mayor's mansion!" One of the butlers shouted from a balcony when he noticed them.
"Oh, sorry." Both said in unison.
"Alright, the event has ended. I wish you well on your journey, and that whatever dreams you have may come true. You youngsters have a nice day."
Eventually, everyone exited. Roy walked side by side with his brothers and Taric. His sister walked with Freya and chattered, but he could feel Freya's glare on his back. He felt a slight chill go down his back, but that was it.
Roy had to prepare for the upcoming auction, at least to get many things with the money afterward. His siblings only carried 20 Pokédollars each, while he only had 100 on his person.
All of them went to Pokéshop and bought basic Pokémon food. While Troy and the rest stayed out, Roy went home. He called forth Abra from the Luxury Ball, and it sat on his bed.
Roy simply exercised and scrolled through the online Black Market. He was searching for TMs he could teach Abra.
"Teleport is good for escape, but its mental energy isn't enough to carry me along. Its level is too low, and it could only warp itself away in a dangerous situation." One move like Teleport wasn't going to do anything in battle; he needed attacking moves.
He searched for TMs on the Black Market, particularly the TM-Energy Ball. The price wasn't small because this TM wasn't sold in Kanto. This TM was sold at a reasonable price in the Sinnoh region, where the TM mainly originated.

Roy's expression had nearly turned black. These TMs were so expensive that they made one's heart nearly bleed.
There was a list of people selling this TM, to be exact, 22 people in total.
"These prices are crazy, but it's understandable when you know they're not sold in this region." Roy simply added these things to his wishlist for later.
Eventually, 3 came around, and the Auction had begun. Roy was naturally on it, watching. The first item that was being bid on was a rare candy starting at ₽50,000. This money alone was enough for him to purchase a decent TM.
The price continued to go up until it was sold for ₽85,000! He also received an extra ₽4250 due to a 5% cash bonus. Usually, people were taxed 3% to 5% on every item they sold on the market.
"This VIP bonus is simply too amazing!" Just that one sale alone had put him in the money.
As the Auction was going on, Roy quickly went to buy the Magikarp from the Fisherman. While making this purchase, the Waterstone was sold for ₽70,000, and he received a bonus of ₽3,500.
"Haha! I'm so paid!" Roy had already netted ₽160,250!
Finally, the Masterball was being auctioned. Roy's heart was racing; how much money could he get with this? He knew for sure that after this, he would be a millionaire!
The Bidding War had started. To even bid, you had to confirm that you had the Pokémon, Aptitude, and all that Roy had asked for prior. Even with millions of Pokédollars, it wasn't guaranteed you could get a high-aptitude Pokémon.
.....
The bid continued to rise for the next ten minutes. And it hit a shocking 750 million Pokedollars! Roy thought he was going to faint; he was truly rich this time! Something he couldn't even dream of in his previous world.
The bids weren't stopping either, but they were much slower this time around.
Eventually, it was bought by an account called CompanyOverlord for 880 million! Roy saw the notification, and he held his chest and stared at the screen to make sure he wasn't hallucinating.
Roy also received 44 million Pokédollars, Charmander, Squirtle, Dratini, and a Clefairy landed in his Online Void Storage Box!
"Was this what it meant to ascend heaven in one step?!" Roy kept counting the number's places in shock.
