Chapter 223 - Chapter 223: The Floating City Unleashes Its Full Firepower

These newly arrived monsters closely resembled pterodactyls, each possessing a pair of massive, fleshy wings devoid of feathers. Upon closer inspection, one could even discern the intricate network of blood vessels tracing the wing membranes.

In addition to their wings, they sported four clawed limbs and sharp, elongated beaks, resembling razor-edged blades.

These colossal creatures boasted wingspans of at least seven to eight meters, resembling compact fighter jets. Their numbers were overwhelming, swarming like a dense cloud as they converged upon the Sky Titan's position.

With Anaxa and Heinrich nearby, Hyacine couldn't risk using her previous "Sun Incarnation" technique. Instead, she swiftly shifted forms!

The Sky Titan's silver Titan Body rapidly transformed into a vibrant blue, and crackling electric arcs began to flicker around her.

BOOM!

A thunderous roar erupted as the Sky Titan flapped her wings and charged headlong into the swarm of pterodactyl-like monsters. A spatial field akin to static electricity shimmered around her. Any enemy that ventured too close would be struck by bolts of lightning erupting from the Titan's wings, each strike precise and lethal!

The lightning strikes had a noticeably smaller area of effect compared to the previous Blazing Sun and extreme heat, but their single-target lethality was far greater. With each flap of her wings, the entire sky was illuminated in an eerie, shudder-inducing azure!

Leaving aside the ordinary people in other areas, the wizards directly beneath the battlefield, aboard the Floating City—which had regained power and was rapidly ascending to provide support—had an exceptionally clear view of the spectacle. The sky kept shifting wildly: one moment a blinding Sun, then a fiery mix of red and gold, and now this terrifying blue, crackling with thunder and lightning. This is beyond absurd, they thought.

The Necromancy Tower Master stared blankly at the sky, muttering, "What... what is all this? What's even happening?"

Though she was a mage far beyond the Legendary rank—not quite among the absolute elite in this world, but certainly not lacking in power—the Necromancer now felt like a newborn infant watching a kaiju battle.

Truth be told, without the Floating City's superweapon, they wouldn't even have been able to approach the battlefield!

In the heavens, the battle raged on. Clearing out this swarm of Pterodactyls was child's play for Hyacine. But just as she unleashed another wave of lightning, the bolts she had just released vanished as if absorbed by some unseen force. Despite scattering in all directions, they converged into a single point.

In an instant, the coalesced lightning transformed into a deep blue beam that struck the Sky Titan.

A scorched patch marred one of the Titan's wings, a testament to the attack's immense power. Fortunately, the Titan's sturdy form withstood the blow without serious injury.

What truly astonished Hyacine, however, was not the damage itself, but the implications. As the Sky God, lightning was one of her fundamental Authorities. Just as she had wrested control of lightning from the Air Great Spirit before, this current situation suggested something else was now seizing that very Authority from her grasp.

Could this entity's Authority truly surpass hers? Such a notion seemed utterly absurd!

The Sky Titan swiveled its gaze toward the origin of the attack. Amidst the Pterodactyl swarm, a purple cube covered in tendrils pulsed with waves of divine power.

The object was roughly ten meters in diameter, resembling a massive Magic Cube. Through the gaps between its tentacles, Hyacine glimpsed its surface covered in densely packed, luminous 'characters'. These weren't runes from this world's magic systems but something entirely new and never seen before.

Thump... Thump...

Accompanied by a sound like a heartbeat, the Magic Cube slowly unfolded in four directions, transforming into four smaller cubes surrounding a central core. After each cube rotated a specific angle, an identical energy attack erupted, once again hurtling toward Hyacine.

At that moment, Hyacine seemed to grasp what this thing was: a Demigod-level Magitech construct. It possessed no inherent Authority; its ability to absorb Hyacine's lightning stemmed from exploiting the fundamental properties of electricity.

In simple terms, the device acted like a lightning rod. Even with her Lightning Authority, Hyacine couldn't alter lightning's fundamental nature, so all her bolts were drawn into it. The subsequent blue energy beams fired by the cubes were energy attacks, not lightning, preventing Hyacine from seizing control of them a second time.

Boom!

The Titan Body's sheer size and the energy attack's incredible speed made it nearly impossible to dodge. But Hyacine had no intention of dodging anyway; she simply braced herself against the blast and continued her charge forward.

This 'Magic Cube' was clearly not of this world; it was likely an artifact from another dimension. Given that the Mother of Flesh was a deep-sea predator and an Outer God, it was only natural that she wouldn't confine her interests to this realm alone. She had likely invaded countless other worlds before, making the appearance of corrupted artifacts from those realms perfectly logical.

Despite Hyacine's earlier display of flashy 'Skills'—summoning flames and lightning, creating the illusion of a Wizard—one might assume that neutralizing her Lightning Authority would render her powerless.

But the truth was far different. The Sky Titan, moving with unstoppable speed, arrived before the 'Magic Cube' without a shred of defense. Ignoring the laser beams tearing through the air, she simply swept one massive wing across the cube's surface.

Her physical attacks were no joke either!

The gale generated by the Sky Titan's massive iron wings instantly crushed nearby pterodactyls. It was as if an invisible locomotive had struck them head-on, blasting them into clouds of bloody mist in mid-air.

Buzzing——!

With an ear-splitting roar, the colossal wing slammed down on the ten-meter-tall Magic Cube.

A crimson protective barrier materialized around the Cube, enveloping it entirely. However, this shield lasted less than a second, fracturing into a web of cracks before shattering completely.

Simultaneously, the Sky Titan's other wing struck the Cube from the opposite direction, sandwiching it in a devastating pincer attack.

In the game, the Sky Titan Boss, Aquila could only alternate between left and right wing strikes. But reality knows no such constraints. Why not strike with both wings simultaneously for exponentially greater damage?

Crack! Crack! Crack!

A teeth-grinding sound ripped through the air as the crimson barrier shattered. Like a colossal pair of shears, the Sky Titan's wings brutally cleaved the Magic Cube in half.

Boom!

Finally, the Sky Titan's wings crossed paths, their friction unleashing a deafening sonic boom. Pterodactyls that had previously evaded the wind currents now had their eardrums burst, reeling wildly through the air.

Even Anaxa, watching from a distance, was forced to cast a Third-Level Silence spell, enveloping himself and Heinrich in a bubble of absolute quiet. Originally designed to prevent enemies from chanting spells to interrupt spellcasting, this magic didn't disrupt existing spells like the Fly spell maintaining their flight. Thus, this simple Third-Level spell directly neutralized the sonic waves generated by the Sky Titan's battle.

Low-level magic isn't necessarily useless; in specific situations, it can prove remarkably effective.

However, after Hyacine destroyed one Magic Cube, three more identical blue beams shot toward her position. Since these Magic Cubes were artificial constructs, it was only natural that multiple copies existed.

After enduring three more blasts, Hyacine's gaze swept across her surroundings. The three Magic Cubes were positioned in a triangular formation. As she flapped her wings to approach one, that cube immediately shrank into a ball and began retreating, while the other two began charging up their attacks again.

Are they trying to kite me? Hyacine wondered.

Just as she was pondering this, a barrage of intricate spells erupted from below. Massive fireballs, crackling with raw power, surged skyward, their sheer number nearly obscuring half the sky.

Each fireball struck its aerial target—the pterodactyls—with pinpoint accuracy, leaving no room for error.

It was the Floating City. After its long ascent, it had finally reached the battlefield and joined the fray. These fireballs originated from pre-set Magic Circles lining the Floating City's exterior, designed for precision targeting and rapid-fire bombardment. The spells employed were Sixth-Level Evocation School's Fire Blast, or what could be called the Upgraded Fireball Spell.

Its power was greater, its area of effect wider, its temperature higher, and its range longer—an all-around enhancement.

Instantly, massive fireballs erupted in the sky. The wizards atop the Floating City simultaneously began casting spells. The Enchantment Tower Master, having just regained consciousness, stood atop the Enchantment Mage Tower and pointed at the remaining three Magic Cubes in the sky.

"Ninth-Level Enchantment School, God-Binding Snare!"

Silver chains erupted from the void around the Magic Cubes, instantly binding them so tightly they resembled dumplings.

Meanwhile, the Prophecy Tower Master stood atop the Prophecy Mage Tower. "Ninth-Level Divination School, Reset Destiny!"

As this magic took effect, all the scorched marks previously inflicted on the Sky Titan by the Magic Cubes vanished without a trace.

The spell's effect lived up to its name: it could alter "some" established facts within the past five minutes. For instance, the Magic Cubes' attacks should have struck the Sky Titan, but the Diviner had effectively "rerolled the dice" for those attacks, forcing them to result in critical failures.

Attacks that should have struck the Sky Titan were suddenly plagued by inexplicable mishaps. A sudden sneeze during the cast, a foot slipping on the ground, an inexplicable itch in the eye during aiming, a reflexive blink—a series of absurd coincidences caused each strike to miss. With the attacks missing their mark, the Sky Titan remained unscathed.

Perched atop his Mage Tower, the Evocation Tower Master chanted, "Ninth-Level Evocation School—Elemental Collapse!"

Four streams of vividly colored Magic Power converged before him. Instead of targeting the locked Magic Cubes, his attack focused on the colossal eye looming beyond the rift.

The attack erupted as a beam of light. Initially vibrant with color, the beam darkened rapidly as it traveled, eventually turning pitch-black, radiating an aura of terrifying dread.

Originally conceived by the Floating City as a 'Godslayer Weapon' against the Goddess of Magic, it was now unleashed without hesitation against this Outer God.

Seeing this, the Moon outside retaliated without hesitation, unleashing a crimson beam from the heavens. Yet the moment the two collided, the black beam pierced through the red like a needle, advancing relentlessly!

This was the concentrated destructive power focused into a single point. Wave? Nonexistent. The black beam instantly pierced through the enemy's attack, striking the Moon beyond the world's edge.

Simultaneously, the crimson beam crashed down, slamming into the Barrier surrounding the Floating City. The Abjuration Tower Master swiftly cast spells to reinforce the Barrier, chanting, "Ninth-Level Abjuration School, Divine Power Nullification Barrier!"

Each Tower Master fulfilled their roles with remarkable efficiency, achieving astonishing results in the opening moments of the battle.

Of course, there were exceptions. The Necromancy Tower Master and the Conjuration Tower Master stood atop the Floating City. The former, having never been part of the plan, was simply shirking her duties, while the latter... The Conjuration Tower Master gazed at the sole remaining Demigod beside her—an Air Elemental Great Spirit—her voice tinged with a sob. "What are you still standing around for?! Go help them!"

She had spent a fortune hiring four mercenaries, only to have three of them killed by friendly fire due to misunderstandings—a truly devastating loss!

The Air Great Spirit shrugged, then transformed into a swirling vortex of air and shot toward the heavens, joining the fray.

There's no denying it—the Floating City's firepower is truly terrifying. With its current configuration, it could realistically kill a Lesser Divine Power god. Entrusting this battlefield to the Floating City would be more than sufficient.

Thus, Hyacine turned her gaze skyward. The Sky Titan spread its wings and soared outward. Rather than passively defend, it was time to strike first and unleash its full fury on the enemy!

After all, her Titan Body was alchemically crafted, so she had no reservations about pushing it to its limits. Charge!

The moment she breached the Barrier, it felt like a soaring bird suddenly crashing into a dense spiderweb. Even just maneuvering beyond the world's edge brought noticeable resistance.

But it was a minor inconvenience. A small bird like a sparrow might get tangled in the web, but she was no sparrow—she was an eagle. With a powerful flap of the Sky Titan's wings, her speed surged anew. Soon, the massive Moon loomed before her.

The Sky Titan's size was immense, yet it remained dwarfed by the celestial body. Staring at the colossal eyeball that filled her entire vision, Hyacine felt no fear. She charged straight into the Moon's pupil!
