The instant the Titan Body fully materialized and spread its wings, its colossal form nearly engulfed half the Floating City. Every Wizard in the city could see it as soon as they looked up!
It had to be said, the Sky Titan Aquila was quite majestic, radiating immense pressure. Heinrich, standing beside Anaxa, stared in awe and muttered, "Is this... the birth of a god?"
The Sky Titan radiated astonishing divine power from every pore, brazenly proclaiming its existence. Even its mere form and the sheer intensity of its divine power were unmistakably those of an Ancient God!
But Heinrich quickly regained his composure. God-Making was theoretically impossible. Or, to be more precise, the most one could artificially create was a Demigod. Above that level, even gods of Lesser Divine Power required Divinity—something that couldn't be manufactured but only coalesced through the slow, grinding weight of time.
Yet the Sky Titan's energy level far surpassed the Demigod threshold. Moreover, Heinrich could sense the presence of Divinity within it. He suddenly recalled the scene before leaving the Floating City core: Anaxa placing his hand on Hyacine's head. At first, he had assumed it was a casual gesture of affection, but now he realized it was something far more significant.
In the game Honkai: Star Rail, after a Demigod recreates the world, they become the new Titan of the cycle, possessing a Titan Body. However, the Identity pulled by the System seemed to be from the version before the world's recreation. At least, across all these Identities, she's never manifested a Titan form.
Not that it matters much. Anaxa had already crafted one using Alchemy, right? In more mystical terms, this was an Incarnation—an external avatar. Since Hyacine primarily supplied the divine power, she retained control over the Sky Titan. But whether Hyacine or Anaxa controlled it made little difference, as they were essentially the same being.
Heinrich finally understood. He murmured, "So, they created another Divine Body..."
This was an utterly absurd revelation. Anaxa had actually managed to create a Divine Body using Alchemy! And that pink-haired girl (Heinrich still didn't know Hyacine's name), despite her petite frame, possessed divine power capable of sustaining the Floating City's immense energy consumption while simultaneously maintaining another colossal Divine Body!?!
Now that he thought about it, the "pink hair" girl must have been the one who destroyed the Elemental Great Spirit in the earlier reports.
Heinrich gazed up at the colossal Titan looming in the sky, then turned to Anaxa, taking a deep breath before asking, "Who exactly are you...?"
He had a deluge of questions: What are your true identities? What brought you to the Arcane Federation? How could two gods of such immense power have lived ordinary lives here for a whole year? It was utterly incomprehensible to Heinrich.
Anaxa took a few seconds to compose himself, suppressing his laughter. He had no intention of hiding the truth, or rather, there was no point in concealing it any longer. "We come from Okhema, the Eternal Holy City. As for me, I'm just an ordinary Scholar, as you see. My sole purpose in coming to the Arcane Federation was simply to read and study."
"As for my student," Anaxa continued, glancing up at the Sky Titan, "she's far more formidable than I am. 'Sky Titan, Avatar of the Sky, Destroyer, Tyrant of the Sky, Eye of Twilight'—these are but a few of her titles. If you wish to address her, simply call her Hyacine."
"As for her purpose here, it's simple: to accompany me and prevent any unforeseen incidents."
Heinrich was momentarily stunned, then his mind raced as he frantically replayed the titles. While a god's title might not fully encapsulate their essence, Heinrich could discern from these titles that the pink-haired goddess must possess immense power.
After all, the very phrase "Avatar of the Sky" couldn't be a coincidence, could it?
And then there was Anaxa. Heinrich turned to look at him. Just an ordinary scholar? Whether it was crafting that Divine Body with alchemy or his role as the pink-haired girl's teacher, everything pointed to his extraordinary nature.
How could a Sky God of such immense power possibly entrust her training to an ordinary person, let alone have him protect her?
Finally, Heinrich's thoughts converged on the word "Okhema" from Anaxa's earlier statement. He had heard this term from Divination School Wizards before, but hadn't paid much attention then. Now, however, the place sparked his intense curiosity.
Of course, such curiosity could wait. More pressing matters demanded immediate attention. At that moment, the Sky Titan flapped its wings and soared rapidly toward the heavens.
At that moment, Anaxa and Heinrich simultaneously cast Fly and soared skyward. Despite their already considerable speed, they couldn't even keep up with the Sky Titan's exhaust trail.
Before long, the pair spotted what appeared to be a second sun blazing in the heavens.
Switching to the Sky Titan's perspective, controlling this massive body felt strangely like piloting a Gundam for Hyacine.
Though this Titan Body was merely an alchemical construct, weaker than her own true form, piloting a Gundam was just plain awesome!
As she ascended, she soon reached an altitude of nearly nine thousand meters. The rifts in the sky had multiplied beyond those she had previously sealed, and some monsters were already pouring through the fissures into the Material World.
Worse still, some rifts were so close they threatened to merge into a colossal void. Through the pitch-blackness beyond, Hyacine glimpsed an enormous pupil staring directly at her.
"Is that the Moon? Or, more precisely, the eye of that Outer God?" she realized quickly. Still, the entity couldn't breach the barrier just yet. All she needed to do was clear out the lesser monsters and seal the gaps.
Hyacine commanded the Sky Titan to unfurl its two pairs of wings. Her body temperature surged, radiating a blinding light, transforming her into a second sun!
The intense heat swept indiscriminately in all directions—the perfect wide-area-of-effect skill for clearing out hordes of lesser enemies.
The creatures pouring through the rift were eye-shaped monsters, resembling spherical eyeballs with tiny wings sprouting from their backs. Though no larger than a fist, they swarmed in countless numbers, scattering in every direction as soon as they emerged.
These small things possessed negligible combat ability, but true to their form, they were merely eyes, capable of transmitting everything they saw to the Outer Gods. They also possessed a degree of contamination ability, corrupting whatever they gazed upon.
Like bacteria or viruses, if these creatures were allowed to spread unchecked, swarming across the world, they would become an immense threat. Their small size and incredible speed would make them exceedingly difficult for most to deal with. Fortunately, Hyacine, who excelled at wide-area-of-effect attacks, was precisely the right person for the job.
The moment the Sun was born, all the eyeballs, like sesame seeds tossed into a flame, began to sizzle and burn. Countless small fireballs filled the sky, but the extreme heat prevented them from even reaching the ground. They burned for mere seconds before vanishing completely, leaving behind only wisps of ash.
Once the eyes were cleared away, the Blazing Sun on the Sky Titan's body transformed into Iridescent Light, just as Hyacine had done before. It began to systematically mend the rifts in the sky.
But at that very moment, the 'Moon' outside seemed to have noticed this. A crimson beam of light descended from the heavens, piercing through the largest rift and hurtling straight toward the Sky Titan's position!
This was likely the same attack that had shattered the Barrier earlier. Seeing this, Hyacine remained calm and swiftly began to gather her power. In the next instant, a dazzling golden beam of light, as brilliant as sunlight, erupted from the Sky Titan's 'eyes'!
Boom—!!!
Two beams of light collided in mid-air. For a split second upon contact, the entire world seemed to fall silent. This was followed by an ear-splitting roar as the immense energies clashed, mutually canceling each other out and dissipating.
Instantly, the half of the sky above Hyacine turned pale gold, while the half above the Moon glowed crimson.
Only then did Anaxa and Heinrich finally arrive nearby. Witnessing such a massive clash upon arrival, Heinrich couldn't help but wipe the cold sweat that had inexplicably broken out on his forehead.
This is insane!
Either the gold or crimson beam alone carried energy levels equivalent to Greater Divine Power, and they were sustained attacks, both sides continuously pouring power into the fray!
Even at their distant vantage point, the dissipated energy saturated the entire space. It was no exaggeration to say the air itself was overflowing with dangerously concentrated divine power!
Of course, Heinrich didn't dare absorb the scattered divine power here. It was far too dangerous. Even if the Mother of Flesh, an Outer God, offered him her divine power directly, he wouldn't dare use it. Hyacine's divine power was also extremely violent and devastatingly lethal.
At that moment, Anaxa said, "Don't worry about the Outer God. She'll handle the threats here. We just need to focus on the Barrier and figure out how to repair it!"
Heinrich took a deep breath, tearing his gaze away from the distant Divine Conflict and shifting it to the breach in the sky. He knew this Barrier intimately, having studied it for two centuries, obsessed with destroying it.
Sometimes, your greatest expert isn't your ally, but your enemy. That's why Anaxa had brought Heinrich along.
But now that the Barrier was truly shattered, gazing into the pitch-black void beyond—at the swarming, grotesque monsters pouring through the breach, and the two gods clashing beside him—Heinrich couldn't help but sigh deeply. If he had known the consequences of breaking the Cage would be like this, he would never have wasted two centuries studying it.
Heinrich's two centuries of research were finally proving useful. He was confident that once he obtained the Goddess of Magic's Divinity, he could dismantle the Barrier. Now, thinking in reverse, he was certain he could figure out how to repair it!
Heinrich swiftly explained the Barrier's internal structure to Anaxa, using the most concise language possible.
The Barrier was constructed from the divine power of eleven True Gods (the Goddess of Magic contributed no power, merely overseeing its design and maintenance). The divine power of these eleven gods was fused together in an exceptionally complex manner, forming the impenetrable Barrier.
Heinrich's breakthrough over the past two centuries had been completely deconstructing this fusion method. The biggest problem now was that while he knew how to repair it, he couldn't actually do so due to the lack of necessary materials: the divine power of the eleven True Gods!
Leaving aside everything else, Artemis was dead, and the Death God was missing. The eleven portions of divine power simply couldn't be gathered, meaning that once the Barrier shattered, it should be utterly irreparable!
However, after hearing Heinrich's explanation, Anaxa said, "That's simple. I'll restore the eleven portions of divine power, and you can recombine them according to the ratios you described!"
Heinrich stared at Anaxa in bewilderment, as if he'd just claimed they were living in a simulation or that the Tower Master of Necromancy was actually a man.
Each god's divine power was utterly unique, like their divine DNA. This divine DNA became fixed the moment any being ascended to Demigod status. Anaxa's claim to "restore divine power" was akin to discussing "cloning technology" with someone from the Middle Ages. It was utterly preposterous!
Even more absurdly, while Heinrich was still reeling from shock, Anaxa had already begun to act.
Meanwhile, Hyacine and the Moon's clash had ended in a stalemate. Hyacine's Sky Titan was a Divine Body temporarily created through Anaxa's Alchemy, not its true form, and thus lacked its full power. But the Moon wasn't the Mother of Flesh's true form either, but rather the corrupted Moon Goddess, Artemis.
Thus, both sides fought to a draw without fully exerting their strength. Hyacine, still at the core of the Floating City, frowned slightly. The Mother of Flesh was stronger than she had imagined. Could even she, a numerical anomaly, fail to gain the upper hand?
Well, if the Outer Gods weren't powerful, the Twelve True Gods wouldn't have secluded themselves in the first place.
As the Sky Titan clashed with the Moon, another wave of monsters surged from the surrounding rifts. These weren't the small-eyed creatures from before, but clearly combat units, converging on the Sky Titan's position.
