Chapter 28 - 27. Different worlds.

Closing the door behind me. My arm wouldn't let go of the handle for sometime.

"Come on Sam you can do it." Grabbing my hand forcing it to let go.

*Crack. Crack.* The floorboard echoed loudly.

As I was about to leave my home. "Sam you don't have to-." "Natalie let him."

I ran towards my parents embracing them into a hug.

"Mom, dad I'm sorry... I couldn't *sob sob* save her. It was my fault... *Sob sob* I am a failure." My mother's gentle hands ran down my face.

Wiping the tears. "We're sorry for whatever happened but we're here now as a family."

My dad patted my back. "Sam whatever you do we will believe in you."

---

Ina who wanted to say goodbye heard Sam cry the first time.

She listened in the staircase hidden by all.

---

"We knew you had more knowledge for your age but we failed as parents-"

My mother cut in. "For not understanding how fast you had to grow up."

"Thank you." As a whisper left my lips. As I let go of my parents and wipe the tears with my own hands.

"No need to cry, Sam. The sun will always rise again." Hearing it made it easy for me.

I know my younger siblings will do just fine.

I left my home. The moon was quite lonely high up like that.

Walking to the silent town calmed my heart.

"I'll be back soon." I didn't realize I was in front of the church.

It's better not to... I turned to leave yet a door crack was heard.

"Sam?" It was the nun. "I...mmm was about to leave... sorry if I woke you up."

She was wearing a white night gown with the help of the moon shine she was astonishing.

"I just wanted to ask you to take care of my family. That's all."

The nun put her hands on her lips. "Sam thank you for giving us a chance. Nobody would help us except you today."

"I'll be going now. Please take care."

"You too Sam."

The door closed slowly behind me.

The night was a long one as I walked the path.

A warm vapor escaped my lips.

The autumn cold breeze was something I failed to expect.

Shiver yet my legs moved the empty road.

*Rustle. Rustle.* "Who goes there!" Rustling of bushes woke my mind back to reality.

Unsheving my sword, looking at my surroundings.

The rustling grew closer.

I was hunted by something. Yet what it is a mystery.

"I'm not asking again!" Holding my sword in a firm grip, my muscles tensed.

The rustling stopped just to see a four legged creature.

The more it closed on me its height also increased.

"This is bad!" It had an exo-skeleton armor.

Protecting his body two huge tusks ready to impale.

Red eyes looking at me with vengeance.

It scrapped his hooves on dirt.

"Gravelback mother boar."

Oh fuck I haven't changed my clothes the same clothes I had hunted bunch of boars today.

It had found me by the scent.

The Gravelback lowered its head and thundered towards me.

Can I block it?, That would be no different from suicide.

As the Boar was right at my face I threw away the idea and jumped away.

Why don't I hear anything? Looking back the Gravelback wasn't there like anything didn't happen.

Was I hallucinating? It didn't made sense.

Silently the boar rammed me from the back.

"How did it manage to get around me?" The boar quickly stopped sending me flying to a tree.

The tree barely cracked yet I was already dying.

The force pushed the wind out of me.

Shit I need to get away. I barely managed a roll when the tree was destroyed in a blink of an eye.

It was nowhere to be seen again. It's circling the forest to attack me from me blind spot!

What should I do?

Using a every amount of my stamina I created a magical wall just as the boar rammed it.

It cracked heavy but still firm. While my hands bleeded all over.

I won't die here! Not by you! Not by anyone till I give Ina a better future!

The boar backed away just a little just to ram again breaking the shield.

"Arrrggghhh." sweat poured down my face I dropped my sword to hold my arm.

My arm snapped with pain becoming completely numb.

The boar went back to hiding to finish me off with the last ram.

There is no point in running my legs have already given up.

My left arm is shaking but I can still fight. Just to survive.

I grabbed my sword again. "I'll kill you right here!"

As if understanding my language the boar was In front of me lowering her head for a frontal attack.

I pointed at her with my shaky sword.

If this is my last stand I want to know how you are doing William.

---

"Come on William you need to be stronger!" Mim was cheering him on.

Holding my shield firmly I parried the blunt swing.

The ogre slammed his club again and again not giving me any time to counter attack.

"Hey Wenny? Do you think you should help him?" Mim looked worried seeing her son getting bloodied.

"You know he needs to get stronger." Wenny looked more optimistic than she liked to admit it.

Which made her slightly worried.

Wenny gave a loud exhaust. "William look up!"

I looked up like I was told, my eyes wouldn't believe who I was seeing.

"Sam!" He was bloodied, panting and blink of death yet he was holding his sword.

A large amount of golden strings were controlling him.

Forcing him to move, and slash the boar.

It didn't end there as Sam somehow cut off the massive boars tusk and back of its legs cleanly.

"William, that golden thread you see. That's your enemy!" Wenny pointed at the golden threads.

I have to get stronger, strong enough to save you my friend!

I pushed the ogre back with my shield getting closer to cut its throat.

"wait for me my friend we will meet soon."
