Chapter 265: Slaughter City—Chuan and San

In a rather decent lodging within the Slaughter City, Qian Renchuan finally recovered after several days of rest. Thanks to the life-rich Blue Silver Emperor spirit power and the inner power of the Mysterious Heaven Skill, the wounds he had suffered when over two hundred people besieged him—scars all over his body, flesh torn—had at last healed.

"In under three months of arriving at the Slaughter City, I've already broken through to rank 68. Not only that, but my combat experience, technique, and skill have all risen dramatically. Even though my cultivation only went up by two and a half ranks, my overall strength has multiplied several times. The Slaughter City really is a great place."

After drinking some water from the storage-type soul tool, Qian Renchuan's face cooled, and he stepped outside his room, heading toward the Hell Killing Field.

"Lord Shura King!"

"What? The Shura King?!"

A voice brimming with fear echoed, followed by several others. The fallen ones caught sight of Qian Renchuan leaving and backed away like mice spotting a cat, keeping a safe distance.

Shura King—were they calling him?

Qian Renchuan's eyes flickered. The stronger fallen ones in the Slaughter City automatically gave titles to those they acknowledged. Apparently, after that last battle, they had begun calling him "Shura King." But that would likely slow the pace of his cultivation in the future.

He sighed inwardly: obtaining a title meant the fallen regarded his strength as proven. Each time he walked out of the Hell Killing Field, fewer would ambush him. And these fallen were precisely his best cultivation "resources."

"Lord Shura King."

A mature, sultry female voice suddenly rose. Qian Renchuan glanced over and saw a woman with a curvy figure, wearing revealing clothes that exposed a good deal of pale, smooth skin. Beautiful and seductive, she strutted over with a dazzling smile.

"That's Hei Ji! Looks like she's interested in the Shura King. The Shura King has great luck."

Some of the fallen ones around them gazed enviously. Hei Ji was a well-known beauty in the Slaughter City. Women were rare in the Slaughter City—truly gorgeous women, rarer still. Most of the top-tier beauties had been claimed for the Slaughter King's harem. Someone like Hei Ji, with her looks, was a rare sight indeed.

Humans here, reduced to beasts, only had two drives left: securing food and finding release. As a result, a woman's fate in the Slaughter City was typically to be passed around by degenerates who neither wasted food nor were picky eaters.

Hence, many attractive women often attached themselves to powerful fallen ones, seeking a chance at survival.

Noting Hei Ji's flirtatious approach toward the Shura King, those fallen onlookers felt a wave of heated desire. They wished they could rush forward, pin her to the ground, and ravage her.

Abruptly, the eyes of all the fallen present widened. Hei Ji, who was less than half a meter from Qian Renchuan, stared round-eyed, her red lips forming an O, wearing an expression of complete disbelief. A longsword had run straight through her heaving chest—piercing her heart.

"Disgusting."

Qian Renchuan coldly pulled out the blade, not sparing Hei Ji a single glance as he continued toward the Hell Killing Field. A surge of spirit power leaked from Hei Ji's body, flowing automatically into Qian Renchuan's.

He had no interest in her. He already had Bing'er, with whom he shared a marital bond. Originally he'd planned on just using killing intent to drive Hei Ji off, but he recalled that fewer people dared attack him now. Most fallen scattered whenever they saw him, but if someone came knocking on his door, well, that was cultivation material he couldn't pass up.

"What a waste! The Shura King just killed a stunner like Hei Ji. Now the Slaughter City is short one more woman."

Seeing Qian Renchuan disappear into the distance, the nearby fallen rushed toward Hei Ji's still-warm corpse. What did it matter that she was dead? They could still have their fun—plus, Hei Ji's entire body was "treasure," especially her blood, which could make several Bloody Marys and be traded for supplies.

After arriving at the Hell Killing Field, Qian Renchuan handed over one cup of Bloody Mary to register for a match and another to gain access to the audience stands. Once seated, he waited in silence for his turn to fight.

"Huh?"

He suddenly noticed someone in the arena wielding a Clear Sky Hammer. From time to time, this person whipped out Tang Sect hidden weapons, slaughtering foes all around. The figure looked familiar. Squinting, Qian Renchuan murmured, "Tang San. So that criminal of the Tang Sect, born evil, has come here too."

During the Spirit Master Tournament, under the eyes of the entire spirit master world and Clear Sky Clan Master Tang Xiao, Qian Renchuan hadn't been able to kill Tang San. But here in the Slaughter City, he could.

He knew Tang San would be the Clear Sky Clan's next-generation Clear Sky Douluo, but he didn't plan to mimic his venerable father, Qian Xunji, who had used the Clear Sky Clan's downfall as a stepping stone for Spirit Hall's renown. Rather, when he himself reached Title Douluo, he intended to wipe out that innately evil clan altogether—those vile Tang family members—and establish a new Tang Sect of his own. So he had to eliminate Tang San eventually. What point was there in letting him live?

He'd let Tang San soak up more of the Slaughter City's aura first; that way, when he killed him, he'd gain more benefit for his own cultivation. For that "innately evil" Tang family brat, death was certain.

Spirit Hall.

Feet propped on the meeting-room table, Qian Xunji wore a look of utter leisure. Though Bibi Dong and Liu Erlong's maneuvering had saddled Spirit Hall with widespread condemnation, prompting many spirit masters to leave, and though the Hall's enterprises all over the continent had suffered losses and distrust, the organization's core strength remained largely unaffected.

After all, whether Qian Xunji had secretly moved to eradicate the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan was a matter the Spirit Hall Elders knew very well. Since the end of the All-Continent Advanced Spirit Master Academy Tournament, Qian Xunji had stayed in Spirit Hall without leaving. None of the Title Douluo Elders in the Elder Hall had gone anywhere, nor had any returned wounded.

If he wanted to mobilize the Hall's offerings, he'd have to seek the consent of Qian Daoliu, so the idea that Qian Xunji had orchestrated the clan's destruction was clearly just slander from outside. He'd offered some explanation, then dropped it. After all, nobody believed him, nor did he plan to enlighten the spirit master world about who really annihilated the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan—or warn the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan.

He was, in fact, rather delighted to see Bibi Dong—who had suffered such inhumane torment in the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan's hands—finally reborn, gathering her strength and employing clever, vengeful tactics against them. At least his once-prized disciple from the first lifetime hadn't let him down. There's a saying: once a teacher, always a father. If Bibi Dong was set on bringing ruin to her own "father" figure or to Spirit Hall, well, what could he do? He'd just let her be and shoulder the blame on her behalf so she could fully prepare to strike the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Clan.
