CHAPTER 45
KEITH'S POV
"He wanted to talk to you before something came up, so he decided you should sleepover and maybe go to the company tomorrow instead of going to school"
"That is not gonna happen. How many times have I told him that I don't wanna run the company?"
"But you have to. You're the heir"
"And so what? So because I'm the heir I can't be what I want to be?"
" It's not like that...."
" It's exactly like that. He wants me to do something I'm not even too good at"
" You can learn"
" Why are you taking his side mom?"
" I'm not taking sides..."
" Yes, you are. You're clearly with him on this"
" Try to understand the situation here. Would you rather your father give the company to some random stranger because his son doesn't want to run it?"
" If that's the case, then yes. I can't throw away modelling for this"
" Can you even hear yourself? Modelling isn't what you should do"
" And you know that how?"
" You can't just waste away doing modelling. Instead, run the company so that it could stay in our lineage"
" So that's what you and dad care about? The company staying in our lineage? Does that even make sense?"
" It makes sense and you will run the company", she said and stood about to leave.
" I'm sorry but you have to do it", she added before leaving.
What the heck is wrong with them?!
So I can't live my life without them telling me what to do?!
I angrily left the study and the house, I drove to Chloe's without even thinking of the repercussions of disobeying my dad's orders.
He can punch me all he wants...
I pulled over on my driveway and went up to my room. Her sister's car was in the driveway so I knew she would be around.
I went to my window and saw Chloe walking out of her closet, clad in a pink top and pajama shorts, and....is she wearing bunny eared slippers?
I brought out my phone and texted her.....
Me - You look cute ;)
Butterfly - Are you home? How'd you see me? Are you staring from your window? I feel violated...
Me - Calm down, I only happened to see you coming out of your closet but I still wish I saw you coming out of the bathroom ;)
Butterfly - Are you flirting with me?
Me - Maybe
Butterfly - Whatever
Me - Come outside, I wanna talk to you, please
Butterfly - Jess is downstairs so I can't meet you outside.
Me - I never said it was that outside.
Butterfly - So you were talking about my window? You really should stop taking risks....
Me - How'd you know I was gonna make the jump?
Butterfly - Hello! It's you were talking about. I know you're gonna do it
Me - Wow, I didn't know you know me to well, perhaps maybe you've been crushing on me for a long time ;)
Butterfly - In your dreams
Me - And they are gonna come true
Butterfly - do you wanna talk or not?
Me - I still wanna talk but I'd rather flirt with you all day ;)
Butterfly - Quit it, I'm already outside....
I looked up and she was outside her window.
I made the jump and landed on her balcony.
"Why do you keep doing that?", she asked with a frown.
"Because I want to see and talk to you"
"Well, you're here now so, you might as well start talking"
"Why are you being rude?"
" I'm not being rude"
" Yes you are. Is it because we haven't kissed in a while?", I teased with a smirk and her cheeks heated up.
" That's not it"
" Whatever you say, now can I start talking?"
" Sure, I'm all ears"
" Can we sit down for this?"
" Sure", we sat on the floor in her balcony.
" Don't you wanna come in?"
" It's late and I don't want Jess to know I came over"
" Good point"
" So, I think I need your advice"
" Ok"
" I've already told you that my dad wants me to run the company, right?"
" Yeah"
" Well, he's imposing it on me now. He doesn't care if I want to or not. All he and my mom care about is the company staying in our lineage. What do I do?"
" I... really don't know. I've never been in such a situation before. But I think you should take time and think this through. Whatever your decision is, try to make them understand"
" You're so wise. I'm beginning to think your name should have been Sage"
" I'll take that as a compliment"
" Chloe, can I ask you one question?", I stared at her.
I'm beginning to think I can't hold back any longer
" What is it?", she turns to meet my gaze.
" Can I kiss you? I promise, I won't ask again", she just stared at me, wetting her lips.
I was beginning to get disappointed when she brought her lips to mine. I was stunned.
She pulled back.....
" Yes", she responded and I didn't hesitate to claim her lips. She kissed me back with passion and I heard her moaning into the kiss.
I really missed kissing her....
I pulled back so we could catch our breaths.
" I've really missed this", I whispered.
"Don't get your hopes high because this might just be a one-time thing"
"So there's a 'might'? I still have hope", I said and she chuckled.

CHLOE'S POV
Why did I let him kiss me?
Heck, why did I kiss him first?
How do I expect to fight off my feelings for him when we're kissing?
I'm so screwed.....
I haven't had any sleep since it happened and that was hours ago. It's 2;27 in the morning and I can't sleep. I looked out my window to see if he was awake but his lights were off so he's asleep.
What do I do?
Milk might help.....I think
I head downstairs carefully and quietly so I don't wake Jess up. I switched on the dim lights and went straight to the refrigerator. I grabbed a box of milk and a glass.
I went to the living room and filled the glass with milk. I chugged down the entire glass and filled the glass again. I turned on the TV, reduced the volume and watched a few movies, I didn't even know when I slept off.
