KEITH'S POV
I can't believe I actually told her that but she needed to hear it.
She really is my safe haven.....
She took my hand and led me to sit on the decorated bench.
"It's beautiful and peaceful here"
"Yeah, just like you", I stared at her side profile.
She was everything and a lot more but this friend-zone thing is to killing me...
I wish we could just be together.....
She let go of my hand as her cheeks heated up.
I intentionally brushed my knee with hers and I saw her shudder.
"You don't have to deny the chemistry we have"
"What?"
"We have a lot of chemistry going on between us but you choose to deny it. I know you feel the sparks. I know your heartbeat quickens whenever we're together cos mine does too. Stop pretending like they aren't there and face reality. Be with me"
"Keith, it's not that simple..."
"I'm willing to take on the difficulty"
"You don't understand....."
"Make me, okay? I love you and I won't stop saying it"
"Just give me time, to clear my head and figure things out. For now, we're just friends"
" Fine, I'll wait", I whispered and focused on the beautiful scenery in front of us.
I'm willing to wait, no matter how long because I can't just see other girls the way I see her.
She's special....
I don't know how long we stayed in silence but it was comfortable, more like it was something we both needed.
I looked at her and she seemed to be in deep thoughts, her eyes weren't moving, she wasn't moving.
I wonder what she could be thinking about...
CHLOE'S POV

What Keith said kept playing in my head.
We do have a lot of chemistry and I feel more comfortable with him than any guy.
"Be with me"
This part kept playing like a broken record....

What if he turns out to be like Nolan?
Easily driven by seduction....
What if he cheats on me and still leads me on?
What if I get too attached?
"What's on your mind?"
"It's nothing. We should be heading back now", I dismissed his question.
He doesn't have to know that.....

"Jess, I'm home!", I called out from the living room.
"I'm coming, baby sis", she walked briskly to where I was and pulled me to the couch, sitting me down.
"So, how was school?"
"Good, why do you ask?"
"Is it a crime for me to know how my baby sis' day went?"
"I didn't say that, I just suspect something is up"
"Ok, Ok, I'll get to it. I was told Keith got you lunch and it was romantic"
"Who told you? Because the only person that is aware is miss Freya"

"Don't tell me she told you?"
" She didn't tell me"
" Stop lying"
" I was the one that kept pestering her"
"How did you two know each other?"
"We were classmates and we met a while back, when Matt and I went to see the wedding planner. Turns out she's also getting married and we booked the same planner, so....we kept in touch since then"
" So she's been telling you about my life in school?"
" No, she totally didn't tell me that Nolan and Keith fought because of you, or that you fainted because you were being bullied by Hailey", she said scratching the back of her neck.
" What?! So nothing in my life is a secret anymore?"
"It's not like that. I was the one that asked, she wasn't willing to tell me as it would be invading your privacy"
"It's fine, I just need a cool shower to clear my head. I'm not emotionally stable right now", I got up and went upstairs.
I took of my clothes and turned on the shower, the cold water dropped down from my head down to my toes, calming my nerves.
I've never been this nervous in my entire life. Keith telling me he's in love with me has caused my nerves to be overly active.
I came out of the bathroom and put on a tank top and shorts, leaving my hair damp and in waves.
I went back downstairs and Jess was already setting the table for dinner.
Yeah, I forgot to mention that Keith and I stayed back because he had basketball practice
Hehehe, silly me.....
"What's for dinner?"
"Egg salad and rice and curry", she said pointing to each of the plates.
"Yummy, but I think I will only settle for the egg salad. I'm not that hungry today"
"Come on! Just have a taste of the rice and curry, I'm telling you, you'll want more"
"Ok, how can I say no to your delicious meals?", I took a seat directly opposite her and dug in.
Honestly, the meal was nice but I wasn't that hungry so I are more of the salad and went up to my room.
Immediately I got in, my phone pinged.
Mysterio - Hey :)
Me - Hi
Mysterio - What's up?
Me - I'm emotionally drained
Mysterio - Why?
Me - I'm afraid to fall in love
Mysterio - And why is that?
Me - I don't know, I just have insecurities.
Mysterio - Let them go. Insecurities are what weigh people down. Let them go
Me - Thanks, I'll try....
I dozed off after replying.....
KEITH'S POV
I dropped her off and I went to dad's house. He now takes a liking to making me come to his house after school.
" Dad?", I called out when I got to his study.
He wasn't there, instead I met my mum, who was sitting on one of the couches.
"Hey mum, have you seen dad?"
"He went to see a friend of his"
"Why'd he call me to come see him then?"
