Chapter 167 - Princess is pregnant

Seeing Abel and Pavan coming towards them, Raksheet and Ahil understood that they are coming for Ira, to take her with them.

Raksheet looked at Ahil and signalled him to come forward and block the way. Ahil came forward and blocked Pavan's way and Raksheet blocked Abel's.

They jumped down from their horses and started attacking eachother. Pavan and Abel were gazing at Ira again and again, afraid that she might get hurt. But Raksheet and Ahil know that Ira can protect herself so they focused on their fight.

"Leave her alone!" Abel yell at the soldiers who tried to attack on Ira but they couldn't hear him.

"My wife is not weak! You don't have to worry for her!" Raksheet said, mocking Abel's fear.

"Tell her to leave!" Abel said.

"Why?! Scared of a woman?!" Ahil mocked.

"Don't you care for her?!" Pavan asked in anger.

"I trust my wife! You don't have to worry for her!" Raksheet said, glaring at Pavan and pushing Abel's sword away.

Pavan's anger was on its peak and he gave a deep wound on Ahil's shoulder, making him groan in pain and fall on ground. He looked at Ahil and smirked while breathing heavily but when he looked at Ira, his smirk fade away and his heartbeat raised.

A soldier was coming towards Ira from behind, pointing the sword at her. Pavan immediately ran towards her and held her hand. He pulled her towards him and turned around and at the same time, the sword pierced in his back.

Ira looked at him in shock. His eyes teared up and blood came out from his mouth. He looked down at her and started coughing blood but didn't took off his eyes from her.

He fell on ground.

Ira tried to hold him and the soldier who attacked him, shivered in fear and ran away from there.

"Pavan!!!" Abel shouted to see his son dying infront of his eyes.

Raksheet took advantage of the opportunity and stabbed Abel in the stomach with his sword.

Abel grabbed the sword, looking at Raksheet in disbelief and anger.

Raksheet pulled the sword back, making a deep cut on Abel's palm.

Abel fell on ground and looked at his son who was lying in Ira's arms who don't know what to do. He tried to crawl towards Pavan but failed.

Pavan saved Ira, but he is her enemy too.

The ground was covered in his blood.

He looked at Ira with admiration and tried to touch her face with his trembling fingers but Raksheet came towards them and grabbed Ira's hand, pulling her towards him.

Ira stood up and Pavan fell on ground. Raksheet pulled her closer to him and looked at Pavan.

"I would have thanked you for saving my wife if you weren't the reason for her to step in battlefield." He said, looking at dying Pavan.

Pavan chuckled bitterly and again shifted his gaze towards Ira who was looking at him with tears in her eyes.

A tear fell from his eye as he realised that this is the last time he is seeing her. He was happy that he saved his love, Ira.

But sad too that he can't win her.

May be somewhere in her heart, he will live for saving her life.

After killing the king, Jwalana won the war and captured all the remaining soldiers. Raksheet held Ira's both hands and said

"You shouldn't have come here. It was dangerous. I almost lost you." He scolded her softly.

Ira opened her mouth to say something but suddenly lost her consciousness and fell. Thankfully, Raksheet held her and pulled closer.

"Princess! Princess! What happened? Wake up!" He said while patting her cheeks gently to wake her up.

Others gathered around them and Ashwant told Raksheet to take Ira inside the tent they just made to treat the injured soldiers.

Raksheet took her inside a empty tent and told the healer to check her. They had already summoned some healers for soldiers.

After completely and carefully checking Ira's condition, the healer gave the news that gave both the feeling of happiness and fear.

"Your majesty, her highness is pregnant." The healer said, making Raksheet's heart skip a beat.

Ahil barged inside the tent after hearing the news, holding his shoulder and asked excitedly "What? Really?"

The Healer nod and Ahil hugged Raksheet tightly but immediately left him and groaned in pain from the wound.

"Be careful." Raksheet said and looked at Ira who was lying unconscious infront of him.

Outside the tent, Abhiveera was in tears after hearing the news and hugged Ashwant.

"You are going to be a grandfather!" He said patting his back.

"And you are going to be a great-grandfather. Now accept that you are old." Ashwant said, making others chuckle.

Raksheet caressed Ira's head and kissed her forehead. "She is pregnant and I let her participate in war. Not only hers but I put my child's life in danger too."

He was feeling scared that because of him, his child's life was in danger and if something had happened, he would have lost his wife and child at the same time.

Ahil looked at him and hugged him from side. He then looked at the healer and signalled him to leave. Obeying him, the healer left.

Ahil held Raksheet's shoulder and said "It's not your fault. You didn't know that she is pregnant. I am sure that even she don't know that she is pregnant. If she knew, she wouldn't have come here."

He realised something and asked "By the way, why did she came here? We have discussed that she will stay in Aaro until the war ends."

Raksheet looked at him, having the same question in his mind. He then remembered that he can ask Ajit about it. "May be Ajit know about it."

"Who is he?" Ahil asked confused.

"He was the guard outside grandfather Viraaj's chamber and I had told him to take care of Ira in my absence." He then stood up and went out of the tent. Ahil also followed him.

As soon as he stepped out of the tent, everyone started congratulating him.

Abhiveera hugged him tightly and said "Thank you Raksheet, thank you so much for giving such a great news." Raksheet hugged him back.

After that, Ashwant came and hugged his son "Your mother will go crazy after hearing this news."

Raksheet chuckled and nod. He then broke the hug and looked around "Where is Ajit?"

"I am here your majesty." Ajit said, coming forward towards Raksheet with his head low, knowing that Raksheet must be angry on him.

"Ajit, tell me the truth. What happened in Aaro palace that Ira had to come here?" Raksheet asked seriously, taking a step towards Ajit.

Agastya and Vikram looked at eachother, having a idea about what must have happened.

They were sure that Dhishva did something. Vikram signalled Agastya to go and bring Shreyansh and Agastya left.

Ajit glanced at Raksheet and again looked down at his hands "I am sorry your majesty. I didn't fulfilled my duty properly. When princess got to know that you left for war, she went to meet king Dhishva.

She asked him why he didn't went on war with you and he said.....he don't wanted to waste his time and soldiers on something useless. He even said that he don't care that you are his son-in-law.

He won't do anything which is not beneficial for his kingdom.....H-He even said that the alliance contract is not valid anymore as his majesty Viraaj is not alive and that triggered princess."

Raksheet closed his eyes and clenched his fist to control his anger. He can't believe Dhishva can say such a things to Ira in his absence.
