"Fuck." The curse escaped Razeal almost instinctively. His eyes remained tightly shut, but the change in his expression was enough for Selena, standing only a few steps away with the last traces of golden holy light still fading around her hands, to immediately notice.
"Razeal?" she called carefully.
He didn't answer. His attention had stretched somewhere impossibly far away, toward the dark mana seed he had planted within this world. He could feel it now far more clearly than he ever could before, almost as though these newly awakened senses had reached across the world and placed his hand directly upon it.
The seed was working. Dark mana was being born, slowly growing and spreading into a world that had previously been almost completely filled with pure white mana. Everything should've been going exactly according to his intentions.
