UK:GSW Chapter 422 – Uchiha Madara Cannot Understand Kaguya Otsutsuki's Love-Brained Thinking
After his shock faded, Uchiha Madara realized something else. He fixed his gaze on Uchiha Kei and asked, "Wait a moment, young Uchiha—when you said 'another ninja world,' do you mean that in our ninja world, there wasn't another Otsutsuki who descended together with Kaguya Otsutsuki?"
Uchiha Kei: "From the intel we currently have, that's correct. This is one of the representative differences between the two versions of events."
"Of course, it's also possible our intel is incomplete. After all, we've only captured the Black Zetsu from the other ninja world. The situation with our world's Black Zetsu, and what exclusive intel he holds, remains unknown—we'll only know after we capture him."
Hearing this, Madara once again fell silent, thinking over the implications hidden in Kei's words.
It couldn't be helped—at nearly a hundred years old, even with a sound body, his thinking speed was nowhere near that of a young man. A slow reaction was inevitable.
What people call being "steady and mature" is not only a sign of composure, but also an acknowledgement of reality's limits.
Kei understood this well and wasn't bothered. He simply smiled and waited for Madara to think it through.
About half a minute later, Madara spoke: "Tell me about the other Otsutsuki who descended with Kaguya Otsutsuki in that other world. What was he like? Did he leave that world?"
Uchiha Kei: "No, he didn't leave. He has remained in that other ninja world all along—hiding in the shadows for a thousand years without ever showing himself."
"Because shortly after arriving in the ninja world, that Otsutsuki was ambushed by Kaguya Otsutsuki. She killed him once and fed him to the God Tree, producing its first chakra fruit."
"However, thanks to the inherent advantage of the Otsutsuki race, even after being killed, Isshiki Otsutsuki didn't truly die. He survived in another form, possessing a person of the ninja world, and has been in hiding ever since, never revealing his presence."
"As a result, even Black Zetsu doesn't know where he is."
Madara was shocked once more, though perhaps because he had already been shocked so many times today, he only reacted briefly before narrowing his eyes with a cold smile. "Hmph, so these so-called 'gods' from beyond the ninja world kill each other too? How laughable. To even kill one's own kin—no wonder the Sage of the Six Paths chose to seal her."
As he spoke, Madara's tone toward Kaguya was pure mockery, with no trace of respect for the so-called ancestor.
Kei merely shook his head. "No, striking first is only natural, Madara-senpai. In fact, from our perspective as ninja world natives, it would be abnormal if Kaguya hadn't attacked her fellow Otsutsuki."
Madara was taken aback. He frowned. "Why do you say that?"
Kei: "It's simple—if Kaguya hadn't acted first, then she would have been the one killed. And not just killed—eaten."
Madara looked even more confused, signaling for Kei to elaborate.
Kei didn't hold back. He explained the basic setting of the Otsutsuki Clan in the other world: that they were cosmic predators who always acted in pairs, consisting of a Main House member and a Branch House member.
The Branch House was the servant and attendant of the Main House—destined to be consumed.
When planting a God Tree and cultivating a chakra fruit, if necessary, the Branch member would be fed to the tree to produce a powerful chakra fruit.
In times of danger, the Branch member could also be sacrificed to produce an incomplete chakra fruit to boost the Main House member's power.
Although the effect was far less than a complete chakra fruit, it was enough to deal with a crisis. Often, after an Otsutsuki consumed another Otsutsuki, their strength would skyrocket for a short time, gaining far greater power than normal.
This was the most direct reflection of the Otsutsuki as predators of all worlds.
When explaining this, Kei stayed objective and, to suit Madara's knowledge level, avoided mentioning "planets" or "universe," instead using the more familiar term "all worlds" that even Madara could understand immediately.
Madara now understood the Otsutsuki Clan as a disgusting race of devourers and looters who roamed the myriad worlds, destroying countless realms.
The most frightening part was that there were likely many of them. After all, if they could act in pairs and the Main House could periodically consume Branch House members, that meant their numbers could withstand such consumption—at least the Branch members had to be expendable in quantity.
After hearing Kei's words, Madara immediately thought along these lines. He frowned deeply, feeling immense pressure and a keen sense of the ninja world's peril.
Without having witnessed the Otsutsuki firsthand, Madara instinctively imagined them in the most threatening way possible.
After all, if Kaguya—just a Branch member—could become the progenitor of chakra in the ninja world, and the great Sage of the Six Paths was her son, then in a world where bloodlines and clans were everything, her existence was directly tied to overwhelming power.
Now learning there were many more beings like her made the pressure spike instantly.
For someone like Madara, there was no "let someone else handle it" mentality—ever since awakening the Sharingan, he had been the one to handle such threats himself.
Now, knowing such terrifying enemies existed, his first thought was how to deal with them.
Kei was very pleased by this—after all, this was exactly the awareness he wanted Madara to have. Otherwise, how could he persuade Madara to work for him and become a powerful fighter against the Otsutsuki in the future?
And yes—Kei was very serious about making Madara his enforcer.
After all, having Madara as your muscle was a classic, irresistible trope in Naruto fan stories.
For Kei, it was both entertaining and practical. Before, he'd lacked the opportunity and conditions—but now that he had them, he had no problem giving it a try.
Some things really are addictive.
Now, under immense pressure, Madara once again sank into thought, his outdated and aging "CPU" processing the data.
Soon, his thinking produced a new question: "So, what's the difference between our world's Kaguya Otsutsuki and the other world's Kaguya Otsutsuki?"
Kei nodded. "There is a difference—quite a big one. In the other world, Kaguya is merely a Branch House member—a servant by status."
"But in our world, it's different. From what I know, our world's Kaguya is a princess of the Otsutsuki, with noble status. She descended to the ninja world alone, without a partner."
"And the birth of the Sage of the Six Paths differs as well. In our world, he and his younger brother were born as 'children of god' amidst the blessings of countless people."
"In ancient times, the progenitor of chakra, Kaguya Otsutsuki, truly reigned over the ninja world in the form of a god. 'Rabbit Goddess' was her title and the respectful name given to her by the people."
"But in the other world, Kaguya was different—she directly fell in love with a minor country's ruler of that era, and after forming a union with him, gave birth to the Sage of the Six Paths and his brother."
When Kei finished, Madara listened blankly, then after a pause, his face showed bewilderment. "Huh? Fell in love? With a human of that era? And the daimyo of a small country?"
At that moment, Madara wondered if he had forgotten how to understand the language of the ninja world—he could understand every single word Kei said, but putting them together made no sense.
It couldn't be helped—whether Kaguya was a goddess descending from the heavens or an alien from another world, her existence was far beyond that of humans—not even the same species.
And yet, she had fallen in love with a human and borne his children? That was just too absurd.
In that era, humans didn't even have chakra. Even if the man was a country's daimyo, he was still just a mortal—and not even from a large country.
Given the Otsutsuki's way of life, humans at the time would barely count as food to Kaguya. For her to fall in love with her food? To Madara, this was far too… unconventional.
He just couldn't understand—what exactly did Kaguya see in him?
Kei only spread his hands. "Maybe at that time, Kaguya wanted to experience what it felt like to be in love. Or maybe, back then, she was just a pure-hearted fool."
Madara: "…"
He wanted to speak but didn't know where to start. For someone with such a fixed worldview, this was just too much to process—utterly incomprehensible.
Truth be told, Madara simply hadn't seen enough. If he'd been bombarded with the avant-garde concepts from Earth's entertainment media, he'd realize that the other world's Kaguya was still pretty tame.
After all, in certain romance stories, love crosses not only species, but even the boundary between carbon-based and silicon-based lifeforms. They can destroy worlds mid-romance and reshape sun, moon, and six realms just to spice things up.
Of course, at the current pace of the ninja world's entertainment industry, as long as Madara lived long enough, he'd see such things eventually.
For now, the other world's Kaguya had truly broadened his horizons.
Madara then found himself grateful for their world's Kaguya—giving birth to the Sage of the Six Paths for such a glorious, divine reason. That was the bearing of a true goddess. He, Uchiha Madara, was willing to acknowledge that Kaguya as the true Rabbit Goddess.
After all, no matter how you put it, Kaguya was the Uchiha's ancestor and worthy of respect—of course, only in the main world. The other world's Kaguya could be left to the people of that world to accept.
In other words—Madara activated his innate skill: Divine Severance!
The other world's Kaguya was simply too abstract for an old man like him to accept.
Kei kept smiling, offering no opinions or suggestions, and smoothly shifted the topic to capturing their world's Black Zetsu.
This time, Madara had no resistance or hesitation, agreeing to actively cooperate in the operation. Alongside his hatred for Black Zetsu, he also showed strong fighting spirit—fully breaking free from his earlier suicidal state.
For Kei, that was enough.
With Madara's active cooperation, capturing Black Zetsu was no longer a problem.
At the same time, in the main world, the Land of Fire's daimyo had completed preparations for a Hongmen Banquet aimed at Konoha's new leadership.
An invitation was sent to Konoha, inviting the Fourth Hokage, Tsunade, and the new high-ranking team to the capital. The daimyo would "commend" them and hold a banquet, while also discussing the Land of Fire's future plans.
A classic and effective political ploy—provided the daimyo truly had the means to strike fatally at his targets while executing it.
Clearly, the daimyo believed he did. With considerable power at his disposal and over half a year of preparation, he had recruited many skilled fighters, currently being kept in luxury with food, drink, women, and wealth—like raising death warriors—to be unleashed in this plot against Konoha's leadership.
The daimyo was confident. He believed his people were strong enough, and with a bit of specially prepared poison slipped into the banquet, he could wipe out all of Konoha's new leadership in one move.
Right now, the daimyo just wanted to shout: "The advantage is mine!"
