"Hello," I repeated when Magnus said nothing. Then as though he had just be pulled out of a trance, and only just realized my presence, he looked at me, long and hard as if he was looking through me.
But I did not flinch. I had zero regard for him before now, and knowing that he was bullying both of his sons only made me feel worse about him.
"What do you want?" His voice was cold and resentful enough to make me flinch but I did not. Instead, I looked at him straight in the eye, and adjusted the Luna crown on my head even though it didn't need to be adjusted.
"What leverage do you have against my HUSBANDS?" I asked, placing a whole lot of emphasis on husbands.
Magnus only scoffed. He looked from me to the twins, and then back to me.
"Tell your husbands to tell you," he said. He too laid emphasis on husbands, but for a mock effect.
