Selene~
It had been two hours since the old man dropped the bomb on me. I'd been pacing around the room for who knows how long with Cassidy watching me.
Christopher had left the room with his father earlier, leaving me and Cassidy behind. We both couldn't believe what was happening.
"You're being sold off," Cass had said.
I continued pacing through the four corners of the room, not knowing what to do. I couldn't sit because I was agitated. And I was waiting for Christopher.
The moment the door opened and Christopher walked in, I immediately went to grab him by the collar.
"A marriage?" I shrieked. "What the hell does that mean?"
He pushed me away, releasing my grip and making me fall backward to the bed. He frustratingly dragged his hand through his hair as he stared at me.
I got back to my feet and yelled.
"I'm not marrying you!"
He scoffed. "I don't want to marry someone who called me a monster either."
"Then call it off."
